Three things wrong with this.  
 
1) I would lynch you for attempting to mediate.  That isn't a town action, it is the action of someone attempting to fake being town.  I can explain this in more detail if needed.
2) Town won machine of souls and that is an entirely different scenario where we both knew who the mafia was and we all HAD to cooperate to win so we couldn't test the waters like we can here, making this argument logical fallacy at best and manipulative at worst.
3) This reads like a passive aggressive WHYME FRYME.  So with that in mind unvote vote Mish

 

I dont see how mediating is a scum move. Trying to get people to cut their stupid bull crap arguments that have little to do with the actual game seems like a pretty good idea to me. You know get focused on this.
 

first regarding the CS/Despo thing. It looked like a staged affair as it was kind of out of the blue with it escalating in a unnatural way from my POV. I thought it might be a way to stall normal game discussion until CS asked to replace. I don't think he would do that if he was in the middle of a gambit. Now that doesn't clear either CS(now AJ) or Despot. I still have pings from both of them.
 
CS for his kneejerk LD style claim which always seems odd and forced to me. throw in a little whyme in his response to Pray and a bit of overdefensiveness in his general replies about the quick claim and there is a case there. Therewas also the fishing comment but since he hasn't watched the show as I took it he might not know
 
Despo may have slipped also. He said that if he was asked if he were scum he would just say "yes". Then also mentioned claiming 5th party or some other thing but not just saying that he was town in a normal way. That came across as freudian to me. Also he chose to vote Wombat for his post buddying Darthe but didn't even flinch about Lenlo blatantly buddying Darthe in his original vote.
 
Darthe actually is not looking like he is clearly mafia and is working. I did see the potential that she was trying to step in and look like a peace maker where she could later claim town on town violence. Unfortunately that would make me have to lean Despo town, so I am conflicted there. 
 
Did anyone else read TG's diagnosis for CS replacing out as him having TMI? It looked awfully detailed for someone not in the know.

Yes Des did ping me abit when he called out Wombat for buddying without mentioning my poking at Darthe also, but he probably knows Wombat better than I do as well. So slight ping and im gonna keep watching him.
 
As for TG's post, I remember thinking is was pretty scummy but seeing as its deleted and I cant reread it to get a better feel for it im going to default to pretty good scum ping. I dont see why town would want to delete a post in its entirety.

For srs though, Darthe I feel like always plays like this and so while it feels scummy my gut and prior experiences are telling me not to lynch him. Atleast not on D1 anyways. See what more he does. TG with his deleted post and as Tommy said his change of time on Darthe are the scummiest things im seeing. Darthes train also seems to have built without any new arguements, just the same ones being rehashed by the same people.

I explained why I deleted it.  A Mod came into the thread to comment right after I deleted it.  It was explained by others that it had to do with something out of game.  And you still come in and try to bury your vote on me.

So where is it? What happened that changed your mind, and where? Point it out. Show me the thought process. You're not DOING, you're FOLLOWING. And very conspicuously at that.

 
 
1) CS and Despo went back and forth early game and CS quick claimed for a trumped up reason (Pral's joke was def not an LD, IMO).  I would have expected Despo to go after CS, HARD, which would be consistent. Instead Despo didn't.  I immediately figured something was wrong and called it gambitty and scum/scummy.  Darthe agreed.  Hence, CS & Des scum and Darthe town.
 
2) I realized that the difference is that CS didn't claim VT.  THerefore, my read was off because I misinterpreted the situation.  Thus, CS goes to a town read, Des goes to null, and Darthe loses his town cred.
 
3) Despo and Darthe go back and forth.  Despo makes a good case on Darthe which I agree with.  Despo gets town cred and I sheep my vote onto Despo.
 
4) Despo also pointed out the scumminess by AJ.  I found this to be a better case than what he made on Darthe but I still have CS with town lean so overall I'm not going to put my vote here.

For all the posts since then, I have no idea what to think about AJ.  After realizing my mistake, CS looked town to me because I figure his town claim isn't a null statement.  But AJ looks turrible for his calling out Dap over "leaving."  Despo looks town at this point.  Darthe looks scum because of the backtracking.

It looks like a weak nudge to lay the groundwork for making a player look scummy in others eyes.  Not for a lynch today, but to setup future lynches.
 
Also, claiming town is on thing.  Claiming a town role would give info to the mafia and make PR hunting easier for them, thus reducing town's chances.

 

So the only things I see here that are scummy could be 1) Lenlo opportunistically sponging me and 2) TG nitpicking AJ about his phrasing. But I wouldn't bury either of them for that.

That is classic countertransference.  You can't put your self impressions on him.  Read his tone, look at his consistency, examine his behavior as a whole.  We have no flips.  If he is saying town-like things and you're pushing him because he looks too clean that is going to reflect poorly on you, not him.

Laya flipping town points to people like Wombat who pulled off the train and Lenlo who was on it late.  I feel pretty good about AJ, Tommy and Des being town which IMO says this is more likely to be a scum flip.
 
A mafia flip IMO clears Len and leaves Womby about where he is in my eyes.  Mostly I think it will point to TG/Mish for their attempts at detracting from the train a lot.

Does this big catch up post, responds to all sorts of things (mostly about himself in fact) but then nothing about Dap in that post, then votes him afterwards and says an "obvious scum" type line. That ain't really Wombat's style. Something I noticed that is missing from Wombat this game- he doesn't seem interested in #solving this game. Not as interested in gaining info from important interactions like he normally does, and is overreliant on meta for reads. I don't think he really had enough to go on to say Pray was on his town meta, I just think that was poorly disguised TMI.

 

If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure there's something off about Wombat: Indie, maybe. But probably not town.
