The planet Wayland was a peaceful place, until Joruus C'Boath came there. The original guardian of the mountain that held all of Palpatine's treasures was killed soon after, and the mad Jedi ruled the world from then on. Thrawn had taken him away with promises of new Jedi to raise and train to his liking. But those promises had not been kept. Thrawn was dead now. The Republic would be tracking him to this world sooner or later. Let them, he thought. He could swat them away like insects. He came to his chambers one afternoon to find them waiting. They had ysalamiri strapped to their backs; the Force wouldn't hurt them. "I am Winter; you have killed my best friend. Prepare to die," the woman with white hair said. She shot him with a blaster but only hit his knee.

"Winter, you have to aim better. Like this," the scruffy-looking rogue told her. Han Solo aimed his own blaster. There was a flash of light, and then blackness.

Tommy, Joruus C'Baoth, Mafia Godfather, has been lynched and the town has won.

Cory, Mara Jade, and Peace, Talon Karrde, Third-party Survivor Masons, have won.

Way to go. Leave the survivors alone...

.

Haters gon hate!

I'm pretty sure my overall play was a big + to town, so be nice to third party players and maybe they'll be nice to you as well ;)

game ended up hinging a lot on which way Cory decided to vote.

I like me down to the wire but ifn I was town I'd not have taken that chance.

It's funny how much easier it is to see the game as third party.

Des/Monk, don't feel too bad for how Tommy pulled the veil over your head at the end. He's a pro and a stud

I should likely say something about the deal with Winter's last name. Yes, Winter didn't get married and take the name Celchu until way after the Thrawn trilogy was done. But I needed to take into account that not everyone playing would know the source material. It stood to reason people would be looking up their characters. So I decided to give out Winter with that last name, figuring if anyone looked her up they'd need the name she is listed under. (at the time, I had no way of knowing that she would go to Des, who actually had read the books.)  I can't actually remember if Winter gets a last name at all during the Thrawn trilogy, as I recall she is only mentioned by her first name the whole time. I could be wrong.

Oh yeah, and Thrawn might have been the most logical choice as GF. But Thrawn was also IMO the most logical person to be using the ysalamiri. I had to work them into this game series somewhere, and the ysalamiri struck me as best fitting an RB-type ability since in the books they prevent the use of the Force. Thus, I made Thrawn a Force-specific RB, and separated the town powers into Force users and non-Force users. From there, I wound up making C'Baoth the GF.

It was too vital for the Mafia to keep killing town all game, as Tommy correctly understood that if he got the voting to 2v2 that I would deadlock for Mafia to win the game with him. I realized around Day 3 that Tommy was being set-up as lategame Maf and knew I had a 100% chance of victory as long as the Vig didn't kill me :P

But I couldn't let him fool my Monk like that. Sweet, naive Monk.

for anyone who hasn't read the books - they're really really good

there's excellent audiobooks with unexpected little droid noises and sirens that make driving extra scary fun too.

Basil, the Alliance isn't about pre-game friendships, it's about developing a strong town unit in games.

Harsh to say you would consider not allowing us in future games.

you are welcome in any future games you care to play in and you've more than proven that you don't let your "alliance" influence your game play.

I really thought you would.

you all do kinda play like bondeds tho :)

please forgive the stuff you read in the deadthread. a lot of frustration goes there.

mea culpa.
