Tommy, I think it will be Sunday or possibly even Monday before I get fully engaged. I did just go through the thread and will be putting thoughts together in brief before I go to sleep as I have to work Saturday(an odd occurrence) so need to sleep.

 

 

One person that I think could do with some more investigation are Kronos over the Tina vote. The way he wanted to paint her saying she had Csarmi as obviously town was mafia because only they would KNOW. there has been an immense amount of people proclaiming other people as town for the flimsiest of reasons. I guess calling people LOCK TOWN on D1 is the new black. 

 

Speaking on that I really do not get the entire idea of acting like player X is obvstown and player Y is defmaf based on their first post. At best this only works on newer players as the more experienced will just use your penchant for clearing people in this way and fake the post to look and sound the way you want it to sound. Then you have wolves amongst the sheep. Maybe I am just an old dog that refuses to learn new tricks. 

 

Despo is another one that has my ears up. (surprise) Yes, must be because I think when people do things that are IMO mafia-like they should be called on it. Regardless if they do it "all the time". The terribad Csarmi case. The OMGUSing of both Tina and SP. In one of the replies to SP he says that he isn't getting lynched today or words to that affect. Just because no one else is willing to listen doesn't mean the case isn't valid. I know I have proven that enough lately. Isn't that right Tommy? 

 

I think that someone in the #mindmeld crew is likely sneaky mafia. I am not positive of who as yet. My initial thought was Cory because  he seemed to be in Tommy's hip pocket. Neither have really questioned the other at this point so I still find that suspicious. Over trust between any two people without a valid reason will always get my attention. 

 

Peace said some things that struck me odd. TBH I can't place them ATM. I think I will need to go to sleep. I will try to get more in depth over the weekend. And flesh out more thoughts on other people/things.

SP-Despot interaction told me very little. SP can be very defensive either alignment. Don't really understand his Despot read tho.

As for #mindmeld crew - getting @ us would be foolish early. best way to out players like me, tom or despot is to see of our line of thinking does not add-up in a town friendly way or to see if we are not following our reads meaningfully.

 

Otherwise, we're simply too pro-town. I would never, ever, ever lynch Tom Day 1 for this reason alone unless he outed himself hilariously.

 

We basically explain this nearly every game.

Meh, just go read the thread he started in honor of my flaming him in the machine of souls game. I was going to give him a pass til I saw that one.

 

 

X- Please explain why the person in your slot emo-quitting is not an indication of scum pegged on the first day? Nol got defensive, then bounced when everyone jumped on him for it. 

 

I don't know half the people in this game. SP is treating Des like a red-headed stepchild, but really I think they're different characters of his split personality. Monk is competing with csarmi to see who can make the least logical post.  Turin fos'ing Des is a HUGE shocker. 

 

X is a scum-lean cause of Nolder. Cory/Tommy are nul at presentl, but if we start mislynching, it'd be easy to see how, as they're leading everyone around by the nose. AJ has been playing really well as scum lately, so I'm overly suspicious of him. Tina feels scummy. So to summarize- this thread has been flooded with gibberish terms I have no knowledge of and do not feel like looking up. Tina/X are my only two scum reads and I have no thing else constructive to say.

You bringing over your problems with me from other games won't be tolerated. Its totally against the spirit of the game. Just as much as it is against the spirit of the game to keep flaming someone.

 

This has nothing to do with this game (and had nothing to do with the last game we played).

 

Please drop the issue and don't come back.

The Olympics has started and I´m going away later so I will have to make this short. (Seriously - why do people expect me to be social during the Olympics?)

Usually I would not vote people that has just entered the game but unfortunately I have seen Nolder disappear (quit or just become inactive) in situations like this. (Happened in Darthe/Wombat´s 3 in 1 game for example.)

I´ll keep my eyes on Des. I don´t understand the defense of him. I do agree with him about TG though. TG seems to just echo others. 

 

Des - before you say anything about it - yes, it´s okay to have conflicted reads on day 1!

First - not standing out is a really bad reason for a vote. That means that you can ignore what ever is going on. Second, if you really think that it´s a good reason for a vote, am I the only one that doesn´t stand out? It has nothing to do with others suspiciouns about me? I also believe that Monk did a scum slip, saying that it was a town tell.  Monk is now on my scum list.

 

Talking of scum list - isn´t TG unusually quiet?

Not really used to seeing Salami post questions like this- the indirect form of questioning. I've seen people like Tom and others do it a ton, I'm thinking it's possible Csarmi started using this maneuver to make himself look better in the eyes of CoryTom.

Yes.  I mentioned already I didn't like how he had time to read the thread enough to know to make teh "sup" joke but not enough to comment on anything else that happened.

I'm waiting for more solid contribution from cory beyond the Nol stuff.  I'm wary of scum who hide in plain site by posting without really adding anything/scum hunting.  Cory, any reads to add to the game besides on Nol?

 

Edited out some nestled quotes but yeah this was the snipe post from TG I was talking about. He's gotten really quiet since Xthrax train built back up again, leaving him out of the limelight. TG is normally a fairly active scumhunter as town.

 

Salami's right on NEVER AFRAID TO BE WRONG.

 

Afraid townies are pro-Wolf. Never be pro-Wolf. You think you have a solid read, explain it and present it. Show, don't tell. Even if you're wrong it'll help townies like me and Tommy follow your thought process and match it to your overall game. If you're not faking it we'll get you as town quickly and you can be part of the #ScumMurder alliance

Regarding me- she doesn't point out anything new, or really anything scummy about me at all in particular, just that she doesn't see why others have a town read on me. Yet she still agrees with me about TG. Seen her post stuff like that as scum before as well. I don´t know how many times you have "seen me post stuff like that as scum". I don´t think you can read me as good as you think you can. 

 

As for conflicting reads- townies really shouldn't often have conflicted reads. If so, then they're not rationalizing their reads together and seeing how they fit in context. If there is a conflicting read, there should be some kind of reason for it being conflicted- for instance I have a scum read on you Tina, but Monk, someone else I find somewhat suspicious, also fos'ed you. I don't think he was bussing or distancing necessarily, I'm thinking my read on him is somewhat muddled due to his playstyle. Maybe I don´t use the word "conflicted" in the right way. What I mean is that I´m open for anything early in the game. Just because you are suspicous of TG doesn´t mean that I can´t be even though I´m suspicious of you. Starting to link people day 1 is easy to do but it´s not very good until we know some peoples alignments.

 

See what I mean tho? I recognize the conflict in two of my reads, but approach it with the big picture in mind to see how it fits. If you're not doing that, it's prob not a case of town having conflicted reads but more an example of scum pushing "reads" that don't make sense together.

 

Co mon mon, Des is still possible Mafia.

I have a scum lean on Des because I have no reason not to, he's actually not done that much this game despite his amount of posts.

 

"because I have no reason not to" - one of the worst responses for why someone seems scummy to someone else I've ever seen. And as I mentioned, I've done a lot more for this game than you have. I'm prob in top 3 in fact for my contributions to the game alone.

Monk is on my radar, but it's hard to be scummier than Nolder at the moment.

I'm fine with lynching that slot in order to get the game progressing, he had 5 votes for a reason which I'll be able to look at later on my read through. Sort sucks for X though, his mando-OMGUS on Cory as he subbed in was kind of funny lol

It's not so much that I've given Des a free pass as much as it is that I've played with or watched him play a bunch of times and I don't think I can accurately read him on D1. If you wanna attempt it, have at it. IMO we just have more suspicious people FOR TODAY and he bounced for the weekend apparently.

 

I'll do it at one point. His posts were basically "Comment, Wow so scum, Scum post, Scum scum, wow so scum, gif, I love that gif, gif that I love, I love you gif, meaningless stuff, and off topic shit. 

 

Lol if you think that summary of my play would be enough to get me lynched today, or even get any inordinate amount of pressure, then come @ me lmao. This pretty much translated to me as you claiming scum.

 

The only thing I trust right now is Csarmi´s claim.

TG seems to try to agree with everyone. 

 

Townies would have no problem restating their case on why they felt someone was suspicious. Tommy asked you why you thought I was scum and you just tell him he knows why. Why wouldn't you understand that people will often ask someone to restate their feelings to make sure they don't get tripped up in their reasoning? This is a common scumtell, and one I've seen Tina fall prey for before. 

You have seen me do it before. I bet you have seen me do a lot of things, both as town and mafia. If you say this over and over do you think you can convince people?

 

I have a feeling you didn't want to restate your case or reasoning on me cause it pretty much amounted to "He made a bad case on Csarmi". But that is pretty much my case. It was a bad case on someone that I think is 100% town. The thing is, you still comment about Csarmi. You haven´t let it go. Why?

People seem to be suspicous of me because I skipped over Nolder and later said I had a null read on him. I stand for what I said. If others disagree with me and choose to see that as scummy then it´s up to them. 

 

This post did give me some slight pause on my scum read of Tina however. She gets more defensive as town usually, as maf she blows off any attention she gets. 

 

I can be a person of interest. :D

 

No deeper insights on anything as I´m about to go to bed. Will be back tomorrow. Olympics has started but I will probably get time in between cross-country skiing and biathlon. :)

 

Hehe if I recall correctly biathlon was one of your favorite events... such a strange strange sport lol. At least it aint curling :tongue: I love biathlon and cross-country skiing. What is wrong with curling?!

DM is a pretty stoic place. I think the best joke outside of us was Peace's zinger to me.

I'm trying to be on best behavior. I'm using periods and everything. It's so hard.

Csarmi...this one of of the things where I see inconsistencies.

Tentative town read on Kronos from this post, for a few reasons. Generally consider vote-hopping to be townie, and calling Csarmi out by name seems like a townie move from Kronos- if he was scum and Salami was scum with him he wouldn't make a connection so open between them, and I don't think he would try linking himself to a townie as scum either.

 

I agree with this except the Salami thing because Kronos was asking for help. I think your meta scum-tell of Salami may be outdated, I haven't seen the helpful angle thing from him as scum as far as I remember. I'll stop interjecting with my meta reads of the WF players and let you do your own analysis in case you see something I don't.

 

Dunno how many games you've seen him as scum but I know at least one of those was very uncharacteristic for him. He buddied you a lot, hadn't really seen him buddy much as scum before. But I don't have him as a full scum read based on what I noticed, just somewhat less townie than before.

 

 

There are more posts to comment on but it will have to wait until tomorrow. Des is still on my scum list. He is trying to paint me scummy in an OMGUS way, telling everyone how well he knows that I play. I don´t like that he still comment about Csarmi. 

 

That said, Monk is now my number one scum suspect. I´ll keep my vote on X but Monk is next.
