Nestled above in the mountains, the town of High Peak was a remote and quiet village. People here lived a humble life, carrying out their daily business in a friendly and determined manner. Cows needed to be milked, water fetched, and sheep tended to. Life was simple and the people here had developed a hard-working sensibility over the years. No matter what events came to set them back, they seemed to always pull together and tough it out. The winter this year had been especially harsh. Snows blanketed the terraced crops and howling winds beat at shudders each night, tearing holes in the thatch that provided shelter for the villagers. These people had seen hard winters before, but the air felt heavier for some reason. An oppression was slowly descending on the people of High Peak, and a danger that no one could imagine was upon them.

 

"It rises! The Blood Moon, it rises!"

 

He cried, spittle bubbling on his cracked lips. No one paid the old drunken beggar any mind as he stood in the middle of the muddy street, bellowing at the top of his lungs. The sun was slowly sinking below the peak of the mountain, and behind the hazy clouds above the moon was beginning to rise. It cast a sinister red hue off its surface, a damning omen for any of those who might notice it.

 

"The beasts, they come! They thirst for the flesh and blood of men! Listen to me, damn you!" he cursed as a burly village man pushed him aside as he had tried to grab onto the man's coat sleeve to draw his attention. No one would listen though, and so his warnings fell on deaf ears.

 

These people had no clue as to what sort of evil was going to soon descend upon them.

 

The Blood Moon has risen again, and the Beasts of the Night would soon awaken.

This game is based off the JK9 set-up.

You are the Town Jail Keeper. Each Night you may select 1 player to jail. The player you select will be protected from NKs but it will also not allow them to use their Night Action if they have one. You may not use this on yourself. You win when all threats to Town have been eliminated.

 

You are the Town Tracker. Each Night you may select 1 player to track. Your results will be given as "[selected player] visited [Player X]" or as "[selected player] stayed home". You win when all threats to Town have been eliminated.

 

You are a Town Villager. You have no powers besides your voice and vote. You win when all threats to Town have been eliminated.

 

You are a Werewolf along with [Player X & Y]. You have the collective ability to kill a selected player each Night. You also can communicate outside of the game thread on your [insert link] QT. You win when you gain majority over Town or there is nothing to prevent this.

Yeah I just think it'd be a bad idea to join a game just as I'm leaving for a 5 day trip.

Even if it doesn't start while I'm gone I'll probably be discombobulated for a few days afterward, during which I need to start and manage my own game anyway.

Thinking it's better all around if I skip this one sorry.

I signed up for JK9; I personally prefer 9, I will not argue if it's larger, but smaller is easier to navigate with my limited-ish time.
