[Advanced] Settlers of Catan Mafia [Sign Ups]

The island of Catan. A bountiful land that's been soaked with blood. It's been nearly a year since we sailed here to claim this land for ourselves. We didn't expect the others to be here as well but maybe in the long run it was a good thing. We fought, we died, and now that a peace has been brokered maybe we can move on. The past few months have been hectic but peaceful. The sheep are growing fat and lazy and trade relations with the others are good. We've all come together to build a town near the center of the island. Every color, creed, and crackpot is here and still the peace holds. Maybe one day it will even be a large city. But I can't help but feel like something is stalking us, just around the bend, something that will destroy what we've built here. The sky darkens and all anyone can think about is the coming festivities. What will we do when winter comes howling at our doors? I try not to think about it.

Ok I know everything says Catan but for those of you who are fans of the game, don't expect much. Catan is a very thin foil I am wraping around my mafia game. It's just flavor there will be no mechanics or...characters? inspired from the boardgame. I just liked the setting. So that's that. I expect it to be a pretty fun game regardless and hope everyone enjoys it.

 

I will be leaving Sign Ups open through Thanksgiving weekend. We start on Monday December 2nd.

The game can accommodate any number of players so there's no set limit.

Of course I will need at least 7ish to give the game some fair balance.

Really hoping for 10+.

 

Also it is Advanced but I think it is newbie friendly for the most part.

Thought about that too. Impatient I guess, besides it's kind of rude to hold up the people behind me like that IMO.

 

Also like I said earlier this game can accommodate any number of players so if I only get like 7 or 8 that's ok but it can also handle like 30+ if that happened for some weird reason.

Well different crops leach different nutrients from soil iirc.

 

So let's say you plant Strawberries and then harvest them and then plant Strawberries again.

The second time is too much for the soil and turns it into less than suitable crop soil.

But if you do Strawberries and then Potatoes and then Strawberries again it keeps the soil good.

I know I said this game could roll with any number of players but it still needs to meet a minimum of like 7 or 8 people.
