In case she's wrong: he didn't realize the train was still moving. He couldn't open the door, thought the train had stopped, and tried to get out using the window.

I think you hit on it cindy - he took off his bandages, and as they were going through a tunnel, he though the surgery failed. So he jumped out the window. He didn't want to be blind anymore.

I am really sorry, Mr Bond, but the kitty is right!

 

They were passing through a tunnel and it was then that he decided to remove his eye-surgery bandages. It was all dark for quite a while, so he decided all the pain was for nothing, so he killed himself.

A new one:

 

A guy in an exotic expensive restaurant in the USA. He orders a meal and when he eats the meat, it seems like a flavour he has never tasted. Few minutes later, he dies. Why?

I thought maybe he was allergic to something like peanuts or shellfish, and got poisoned and died from the reaction. ..

I imagine the meat was seasoned with something he was allergic to, and didn't know.

A good laugh, guys, but you are all wrong:

 

It is not the bill,

Nor an allergy,

Nor poisonous food,

He did not have a stroke that affected his sense of taste

 

He died from a stroke indeed after he understood what the food was (no sushi) and it was I repeat not poisonous. Ask some questions around this and around his background, profession, etc..

He died cause he figured out what the meat was and it wasn't something normal rather something horrible or exotic however you choose to look at it?

He was a spy, and the meat tasted as if he had never eaten it before because it was something poisoned by an opposing spy!
