Hello from Arizona (Phoenix area)

A few days ago I had this strange dream (nightmare I guess, haha) that I was captured by Moridin and was being taken to an area where 13 Fades and 13 Black Ajah would be waiting to turn me to serve the Dark One.

 

Right as they were about to begin...I woke up, haha.

 

Anyway, hello! 

 

I've been a reader of the Wheel of Time since I was a 14 year old boy in high school (I'm 32 now). Needless to say, the Wheel of Time has had a tremendous influence on me: from day dreaming about Rand's confrontation with the dread Forsaken Sammael, to the love scenes with Aviendha and Min that my prudish father told me to skip through, haha. 

 

Glad to be a part of this community and hope to be so for a long time. I've lurked on this and other WOT-based fantasy sites for years, reading commentary, theories, etc. I decided to finally join. Ironic that it's now at the end of an era, but I don't see it that way.

 

I intend to see the Wheel of Time last from generation to generation as I will soon be reading it to my children...and inviting them into a world both inspiring and terrifying.

Hello Abaddon,

You may have already started looking through the site but I thought I'd welcome you as well as offer a few sugguestions.  First, since it sounds as if you finished the series already, you should check out the general discussions for thoeries and other discussions by many of our wonderful members.

 

You should also check out the Social Groups as they can be a great way to get to know some of the other members, have fun and discuss comon interests. I can personally comment on two of the social groups of which I am a member; First is the Band of the Red Hand, of which I am LG of the Archers Division. In the Band we enjoy discussing music, travel and food. The Second group is the Black Tower which is an overall fun place to go for fun, games and just plain oddities (We're tainted there so there's a lot of sillyness). There are a number of other Social Groups you can check out so please do so and join the one(s) that appeal to you.  You may join as many groups as you like so go for it and have fun.

 

Along with the General Discussions and the Social Groups you may also be interested in Role Playing, if so check out the Role Play forums.

Did anyone make it when Brandon was at the Scottsdale Civic Center with the release of The Gathering Storm?  It was so much fun.  So, I know that there are tons of WoT freaks out here!

Do check out the social groups. My time is spent at the White Tower and Warders. There is lots to do there, discussions, events, all sorts of things. The Warders and all 7 Ajahs are represented there. You can join as many groups as you'd like.
