I liked the voting people till they tell us what thread they are mafia in.  Very Reservoir doggish.  Problem is your trains gained a little to much speed this early.  Trains that gain speed early in mafia are usually crappy and bogus.  I think we should try it at some point though.  Maybe on Verb?

Well, I would assume that there are quite a few players who are maffia in at least one game. What would they do?

Let's say someone is scum in T3 and town in T1/T2.

They would love to get behind an easy train on T3. They see that I'm not on their team so lynching me is a good idea for them. On T1/T2 they wouldn't have strong feelings about it, but why not?

So joining my triple-train is a natural choice for anyone who is scum anywhere. I'm being pushed by three scum teams, not just one.

Morning! I'm still convinced that Csarmi is scum in at least one of the threads, overwise his actions don't make sense at all. It's a shame he didn't just come out and claim in which one, but a guy's gotta try, right?

The explanation "oh you guys, it was a TRAP" is ridiculously bad and almost enough of a reason to lynch him by itself. Someone artificially playing to the same meta in all 3 threads is something noteworthy, and it's no coincidence that he caught himself  an early wagon with that. Him basically saying "I did something scummy to see who would call me out on it" is bull, as calling people out on suspicious behaviour is exactly what this game is about. Unless his play so far has been helplessly poor (which I don't really see, because the rest of his posts show at least a modicum of insight), he is scum in at least 1.

I'm actually inclined to believe it isn't thread 1. I think his claim here works in his favour. My money is on thread 2.

Also, to those that have been saying it doesn't make sense to have wagons on him in all 3:

Assuming Csarmi is scum in just 1 of the 3. If we start by lynching him in one thread, he has a 1/3 chance of immediately flipping scum, in which case we can still dedicate our other 2 lynches to other people. That way we have something like an average of 1.5 scum lynched across the 3 threads, which is really good given the standard D1 lynch odds. We can really use the fact to our advantage that we can lynch sequentially between the threads, and get flips that can inform our lynch in other threads. We should at least always keep the global picture in mind and compare people between threads. It's more effort (PARTICULARLY WITHOUT AN ISO FUNCTION!!), but will greatly increase our chance to win this.

Now on to seeing whether I can gather some reads on people except Csarmi...

I think I've got Yates as scummy thread 1

Cloud thread 2

And verb thread 3

And you a little on 1

Anyway I'm going to bed soon. Those were just the people I noted

In chronological order:

I actually quite like Csarmi1 early on, he reacts well to the first vote by leelou. This breaks down once he gets voted in all 3 threads, but I don't think that's because he's scum here.

Clouds post about Csarmi are the closest to scumhunting in the thread as of page 3. He can be town in this one.

Yates not commenting about anything going on here is off. I'd expect more.

Peace engaging with Csarmi when he didn't really have to is town. There's enough noise going around that scum could easily start off coasting.

Is lolguy = chuckles?

If yes, I don't really get Csarmi's vote. Csarmi, just putting it down to your gut feeling is a cop out. If not a full case, can you at least point to some posts you didn't like?

Dap, how come you don't like me in this thread? All of my posts so far except this one had been global, I just so happened to choose thread 1 to compile them. I'd understand if you disagree with my points as a whole, but it's weird you'd give me a thread-specific read based on them.

As for thread specific

It was mainly that you were pushing Csarmi in the other threads over this one. I think his most likely mafia here so when you down play him here and up play him there (is that a word? Up play) it makes you more suspicious

It's not much and I really like you and your play thus far (from the limited stuff I've seen) nut you asked

Also peace is bugging me but I think it's more that he disagrees with me than being truly scummy

Oh and Darthe, I don't know where you'd know me from. I was moderately active on GameFAQs a long while ago, and have used this or various derivations for basically all of my forum accounts and gamer handles. If we haven't played on MS (and I don't really remember you, plus I don't hydra), it must have been on some other forum.

Thanks Leelou!

Thread 2 is up next.

Fair enough. What do you think of his claim, and the timing?

Bandwagoning already?

vote salami

Damn right I am! Do you disagree?

This came before the 3-fold wagon on him and is a pretty strong (in a positive sense) RVS reply, compared to the other threads.  It's not much, but it's the sort of thing that makes me more inclined to believe him scum in the other threads. Plus I'm actually inclined to believe the claim.

MOD ANNOUNCEMENT:

A player has asked the following question:

"What is to stop a PR such as a Cop etc from revealing their info in another thread if they die in the thread that they are cop in?"

The answer is that once you are dead in a thread you are dead and no longer party to the information that you had when you were living.  Thus, that player revealing that would be no different from someone dead in all three threads revealing information that they know.  Additionally, since alignments are variable, it will not help you hunt in other threads.

This will be posted in all threads and the Information thread for your convenience.  Thank you.

I think we're on track for proving this wrong but I will respect your wishes if it becomes relevant to me.

I really like the quality of your posts, especially how you make them concise, well-formed. So I'd like to ask you this question.

Why don't my actions make sense at all otherwise?

Also, I did answer your question by the way. I'm town on all three threads so I can't come out with a scum claim. Do you expect people to betray their team btw?

The explanation "oh you guys, it was a TRAP" is ridiculously bad and almost enough of a reason to lynch him by itself. Note the events. I place my posts. Nolder calls me out on it. I tell him he fell into my trap. Probably still on page 1, day 1. Just how serious do you expect these posts to be? On a scale of 10?

The wagons are not a surprise at all, though I hoped there'd be competing trains too and more local discussions.

Your maths on the rest of your posts are quite flawed. Answer me this, however. What will you gain when I flip town on all three threads?

Anyway, I'll be back in an hour or two.

I'm Selma Ross, Vanilla Town in this game.

Great. So we lynch you here first since you're not a power role.

Hey serra

And IF you flip town salami, then we analyse your train etc

Thank you. Whenever I say that it's like I'm just mumbling to myself or something no one ever seems to get it.

And a heads up, my cousins are coming from out of town, so ill be busy but ill do my best to keep on via my phone

Ok, caught up in this one, haven't touched the other 2 yet. But I I honestly don't see Csarmi's similar posts in all threads to be a big scum tell honestly; if he's town then it was a good way to kick-start all the games, and that feels pro-town to me. I gotta catch up on the other threads first tho, to see if his play is consistent in all three.

I won't be on much today; we're getting a new fostercat so I gotta spend a lot of time on that today :) It's a seven months old kitten, don't know if it's a boy or girl yet, but yaaay, kitten

I frankly don't see how randomly voting a different person is a way to kickstart the game. Well, it could be a joke vote in all the three thread. However, just doesn't add up within the context.

RE the bold part: you're making fun of me, aren't you?...

Then, I don't buy that you had intended your triple-RVS as a trap for someone to pick up on. It's exactly because you're no idiot that I don't believe you'd believe your trap would usefully discriminate between town and scum. Do you think Nol is any more likely to be scum because he pointed it out? For you to have planned it as a trap, you would need a useful way to analyse the immediate repercussions. Saying that you can analyse your own wagons won't cut it, because there's no way you'll make me believe you intended on starting wagons on you as a test.

Instead, I think you were being a bit lazy. Since it's RVS, and they are "just joke votes", it doesn't really matter what you do, and the easiest way of not giving away any differences between threads is to start the same way. You hadn't planned on it backfiring as badly as it did...

About people claiming scum: my idea is that once we have intent-to-hammer in one thread, and we've committed to lynching that person across threads until he flips scum, they should really claim which thread they are scum in to save the town games. No one has any reason to out their team, as with the team alive they can still hope to win, even if lynched (plus claiming scumbuddies is usually against the rules).

Regarding the seriousness of your posts, the initial votes were obviously not serious in content, but I think your accusation of having caught someone in your trap is at least, say, a 7/10. Saying you trapped someone usually requires you to follow up on it, and I doubt you would to it just to generate a little bit of discussion, given the high risk to yourself if it fails. I see it as you backpedalling from your earlier mistake, in the hope that you'd draw attention away from your motive.

My maths is accurate given the assumption that you're scum in 1/3 threads. In that case, we can increase our lynch-odds a lot by lynching you across threads sequentially. What do you think of Nolder wanting to lynch all three versions of you at once, by the way? If by some miracle you're actually town in all three, I'll kick myself, but I think you should kick yourself more.

So far at least in this thread Salami has reacted very well to the pressure.  I do agree with him that scum could be found in the middle of his threads.

This is how I see it as well.
