I think having competing trains is always a good idea otherwise if people just decide to only vote for one player for whatever reason there will be less interactions and less info available. I voted for Hallia because I thought that she was scum for reasons I have already mentioned a few times, but now that Verbal said he viewed her my read on her obviously doesn't hold true anymore.

Granted, you were right about DPR, but the rest of your play has been anti-town because you never give your reasons on why you think something or vote for someone and that isn't helping us out. It just seems like you are guessing who to vote for.

 

 

 

Okay Verb I got another question for you.

A couple of days ago, the general consensus between a few of the vocal players (including two now-confirmed townies) was that the top 4 suspects were you, Tiink, Krak, and Yates. And yet...

I was hoping clever townies would remember me choosing to vote Hallia instead of DPR and then no longer voting Hallia....she was my N2 view. I was wondering if scum had lined up two scum lynches to skate one through...so I validated.

None of those other players are mentioned in either your viewings, OR your reads.

Without the N3 viewing of Darthe, I might actually have reason to semi buy your claim for a bit. But with it, I just can't see you honestly being the Cop.

Fair question. My answer is I didn't want Darthe lining up lynches for the remainder of the game if he was scum. He's a tempo player, and he was in rhythm....those people need to be viewed when they are up tempo like that. If I didn't and he was scum, he could have walked us right off a cliff before we starting doubting.

 

 

 

I thought that Despo asked a good question on why Verbal would decide to view Darthe after he got DPR lynched, but Despo's response also made sense to me. I understand why he chose to view the three players he did (D1 Wombat because of meta; D2 Hallia to see if both weren't mafia; D3 Darthe to check if he wasn't trying to lead town down a cliff after he got DPR lynched), and I believe him because nobody has counter claimed him yet.

That about does it for me. Des is not playing a Town game - at ALL. He kind of pops in when there's a wagon, slinks away, then comes in and does random obvious posts about the current game state to look like he's doing stuff. I agree with the bolded. Despo deciding to keep Verbal at L-1 was very scummy, and if by any chance a townie decided to vote for Verbal then Despo could have used that as an easy argument to get him lynched the next Day, and thus nailing two townies just because he didn't unvote.

 

I have a hard time telling with Despo.  He makes many large, informative posts, and most of the time I always get a town vibe from him.  He's hard to read!

 

I have the same feeling with Despo and most of the time I read him as town, but this time I'm leaning mafia on him.

Was thinking about removing my vote before after I saw Verbal's "slip", but thought it might be worth it to let him sit at L-1 a little longer. Would have been worth losing the Cop to out one of the remaining scum. Oh well.

As for who to vote for... I'm def thinking either Yates or Krak. I kind of think scum Krak wouldn't have thrown that thing out there about modifying wiki's. Seems more like paranoid Krak than scummy Krak. So that's made me slightly leas confident in Krak's scumminess.

Yates still has a great case on him I think. And he's scrambled about as much as DPR did in response to cases on him. His reads look like garbage (town read on Tina and GF, and I know I'm town), and his case on me looks like weak sauce, but he's tried building up to it for a while. Vote Yates

Still don't quite trust Verbal, but there is reasonable doubt and we can give him more time to try and vet his claim.

 

Despo says that Yates' reads are garbage because he thinks Tina and GF are mafia, who he thinks are town. What makes his reads garbage? A townie can't be certain of anyone's allignment so your reads aren't any better than his.

I noticed that you didn't take the time to defend yourself against some points Yates was trying to make, and only tried to laugh it off instead. I find it weak that you choose to not respond to some of his questions and it seems to me that you aren't able to defend yourself properly which only makes you look scummier to me than before.

 

Bottom line - go read my case on him. Then, what's funny is he doesn't even realize he did this, go read my "defense" of his case on me. If you don't see the cognitive dissonance there, you better look up what the word means! It's chalk full of "you doing this is scummy - but I'm gonna do it when it's convenient for me and pretend it's not scummy when I do it."

Des, my friend, I don't think anyone needs me to quote your entire post to respond to a single point. Trimming is part of the game in order to make walls as concise as possible. I believe our peers are more than capable of going back and reading the quoted posts in their entirety should they have any questions or concerns about the validity of the points I'm making. I'll be honest that I've skimmed WoT fest 2013 between Yates and Despo so I'm going more by my opinions previously. Though I did pick up that Yates is as sure of Despo as he was of Mish. Though honestly, he seemed just as certain about DPR too and he was dead wrong.

 

All in all, Despo's opinions have more commonly aligned with my own which makes me think he is thinking the same way I am, as town.

I really can´t make up my mind. It´s Des or Yates right now and I could lynch either one of them. The only  thing that stops me from voting Des is his fight with DPR day 1. If it was fake emo with the threat to leave the game I will be very disappointed. His buddying is not giving him any bonus points though. Feels kind of desperate.

After reading the WoT between Yates and Des, I have to say that Yates came out on top.  He was more aggressive and there was a tipping point where Des started being less responsive, writing large paragraphs of non-tactile defense, add a dash of whymefryme, smileys and laughing off Yates' points, calling Yates out for trimming but not bothering to find or prove context that the trimming was inaccurate, and it seems that Des fell pray to the scumtells he pointed out in DPR's defensive scramble.
