and tsuki, as much as you think you might know people, you'll find people who will surprise you, ie: me

while i am generally a totally chill and whatever guy, dont take stuff seriously, shrug off most things, and a very patient and jokey guy, in short im the popular guy in school, which is quite annoying, if im ever serious, people automatically assume im upset, and as much as i hate doing it, i continue being the cheerful guy.(very long story), the point is, if you ever talk to me irl/online, you could think categorize me  while i could be actually just playing you (like i do most people),.....

oh. of course, and that makes it more fun, here. IRL, I would chance to say that I can figure out a mask fairly quickly, wearing one myself so much.

(Not always, of course) But my problem isn't YOUR mask, it's mine :)

Would you really have more fun if you were completely open and honest about everything you thought and did - with everyone you met?

I would not have more fun. I have been more open in the past and it was not fun. Not fun at all.

Now ... I choose the level of contact and open-ness I am comfortable with - and I have a much more funner time.

I'm the villain again. Why would M'Hael be a villain?

Serious tho. Online is just another way that you can meet people for the first time. Just like you will need to take time to really get to know a person you meet at the store or at work or wherever. You will need time to learn about people met online.

I am in general the same here as out in the world. There are few that I let in and confide much in. I do like to make jokes or at least zingers. I also like to play all sorts of games. I don't go around balefiring stuff all over the place though.

Totally agree with you ithi, but they make me wonder if I'm really having fun or am I just faking it

Well, what happens on the inside is up to you. If you are not sure if you are having fun ... then I would say that you probably aren't. People generally know how they feel?

But are you possibly not having fun because you are unhappy with the perception people have of you - and wish they knew you better (if this is the case then you can change this if you really want) or are you just not having fun.

Or are you in fact actually having fun and are just a bit fed up at the moment and so everything seems rubbish? I've been there too.

Turin is as funny in RL as he is on DM. I can vouch for this

 Especially against manipulators and bullies.

*wink wink* But I DESPISE bullies, although some people call me one. However, is it bullying when you target the bullies??

No it's called being forthright and refusing to be trodden on.

YOU SHALL NOT PASS! *nudge nudge*

There's a lot of Balroq out there. Learn from them and then beat them at their own game *wink*

It's the longest journey that never ends and take a lifetime.

The process of becoming.

I'm just mouthing truism and it's true for precisely that reason.

So don't think I'm being patronising...
