Case someone.  Stop giving nonchalant frivolous answers for everything.  Anyway, I'm not believing this ploy cause you aren't even this casual in other games.

Here!

*uck you.

vote razen

Someone's grumpy this morning.  Drink your coffee yet, bro?

Joke or not, Tiink's vote got a reaction from several people.  Look at who jumped with it and who didn't.  Vote: Basel.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking too!

Anyway, back to business.  This exchange between Tiink and Wombat has me interested.  I think that all votes are placed for a reason.  I firmly believe that someone intends something behind their vote, otherwise they wouldn't place it.  That's why I don't believe in joke votes.  Now, what that reason is, that's a whole different game.

I'm liking responses so far from Wombat.  I've got pings from AJ and Not Bob right now - Not Bob for his vote situation when he came in and fixed his vote, only to change it immediately afterward, and AJ for her responses to Tiink.  As for Tiink, I'm not getting a read either way yet.  I agree with AJ in that he appears defensive, but I'm also agreeing with some of what he's saying - he got the discussion going with the talk of jokes or not jokes in voting.

I find it interesting that you talk about a trap.  It's never a bad thing to share thoughts, with the caveat that you present them as your own and are clear that you aren't answering for the other person.  You presenting it as a trap is a clever way to get around sharing what you think.

Nobody else finds it odd that Hally seems to be blatantly buddying up to Mish?  Spotty reasoning or not, she just fired up the proverbial chainsaw as well.  Noted.

I never voted for Hally.  I just pointed out what I saw as a very obvious point of buddying.  She's a lot better than that - but I am a lot more comfortable with my vote on Basel now.  I find it fascinating how many people took off down that road using that line of reasoning.

Out of context, yeah, that does sound strange.  But the two posts right before it were this:

And this:

The way I read it was that she was more going off of what Wombat had said regarding what he would have done in Kaylee's shoes.

A couple of points I'm seeing:

1.  Regarding the whole character claim scenario.  In a scenario where Hally had already claimed cop, it's telling that a) she claimed that she was blocked and b)nobody had countered her claim.  I'm not getting why the character claim was so important to you, Thorum.  It's the roles that are more important, IMO.  You've answered the question, but I don't agree.  Had this been day 1 after Hally made the claim, I'd have agreed with the character claim, but in this case, I don't see why it was necessary.

2.  I think that Tigraine is making a good point about Krak.  He's been tunneling for almost the entire game - it was Basel on day 1 and now it appears to be Tigraine on day 2 for believing that a kill on the SK is a bad move for mafia.

The above is interesting to me though - I took this as an emotional response, and if what she quoted from Krak is true, it's interesting that he perceived that there were 2 different conversations on the topic going on.  Considering that Tiink, Chuckles, Krak, and Tigs were all asking about the same thing that it'd be considered all under the same umbrella.  The fact that it's not is concerning to me.  Is there something I'm missing here?

3. Me, a vet?  I'm flattered, but I wouldn't consider myself one.

All of Razen's posts so far.  He and Darthe have a little bit of distancing to start (Darthe further distances later when he asks who Razen is).  Then he thinks Alanna looks defensive but agrees with Alanna all in one sentence (fence sitting much?).  Votes Basel right off the bat and says Hally looks bad but doesn't vote and points that out. He agrees with Wombat, agrees with Tig, agrees with Alanna, etc.

More than anything though it looks to me like scum lurking.

Lol pull a rand

But seriously I'm just a vanilla but if I'm not lynched by the time I wake up,ill reread and post my thoughts,

unvote

I like Basel as a lynch. Thoughts tomorrow, pretty late here.

unvote

I like Basel as a lynch. Thoughts tomorrow, pretty late here.

Tiink gave the 3rd vote on Basel and still hasn't come in to tell what those thoughts are despite having posted since then. I will still be around for a while so I'm holding off. His votin and unvoting on my phone is a pain in the ass.

But on the note of inactives, DPR gives a really good statement about this at the end of his Ghost Mafia game. Scummy or not, good idea or not, lurking is a play style. Lurking sometimes has a way of showing as inactive whether we intend it or not.

Something that pinged me when it first happened and it still reeks to me is Tiiinks vote on Basel. He pops in, becomes the 3rd vote on Basel saying he will explain when he gets back online, and I still haven't heard ANY reasoning.

Looks like a way to officially start a train without havin to explain why.

For the record, I called him out the very next day.

People need to make up their minds...you want someone to scum hunt then when they do you call it tunneling. This was something that stood out to me. I gave Tiink a TON of time to respond, he didnt despite having posted since I called attention to it.

If jumping in saying, "I'll vote for this person now then tell why tomorrow". Then go on to ignore it altogether isn't scummy then what constitutes as scummy behavior? Calling someone out for something then conveniently forgetting some posts that contradict your case?

I realized that my vig argument wasn't going anywhere except in circles so yes I went on to something that I thought was scummy. However, I was still trying to get my point across on the vig argument because I'm stubborn.

As to lurking, we have different opinions so we will have to agree to disagree on that matter :)

I'm not masons with Kaylee; nor mafia with her either.

I wasn't defending her to Thorum; I was prodding at his weak logic in general. Wich he just kinda abandoned instead of trying to make sense of it, I don't know if anyone else noticed. And don't blame me for Kaylee not questioning and defending me; I'm not responsible for that.

I want to revisit this for a moment.

Whereupon being asked if she were masons with Kaylee, Mish responded thusly.  Now, she answered it but also added a little something extra, and that little something extra struck me.  Notice how she claims two things when she was only asked one.  Her claims: she and Kaylee aren't masons, nor are they mafia.  Now, why not just declare that you aren't on any team with Kaylee?  The way Mish phrased it reminds me of serial killers (irl) who just can't help but drop little hints, little easter eggs as to their identity.  If there's no correlation between the two that she knows of, just say that.

So why get cute?

Sorry for the double post. Stupid DM.

Also, since I brought it up, we might as well get it set in stone so there's no wiggle room later:

Kaylee and Mish, are you two masons?

My 2c is Kaylee is playing similar to when she was mafia in the girls gone wild game (think it was that one)

No time to go get quotes but if you have a look you should see what I mean

How about you bring the whole context Krak? I replied to both Des and Dap.

Also Krak; that was way before we knew Kaylee's flip; for all I knew at the time she was town, and saying I wasn't on a team with her then would be wrong. Because town are on a team with each other, only they don't know their team members...

How you make that into a hint for an SK, I don't understand. You think there's two SK's in the game?

Posted

Nah, I don't buy it.

Play3r threw in his two cents; no need for you to make that claim.

No, I think you did it for other reasons.Maybe you were worried about a lie detector in the game and didn't want to flat out say you weren't mafia.  You knew Kaylee wasn't mafia since you were, so you went with the best you could, making two true statements, one of which barely skirted the truth but technically wasn't a lie.

I am town, not mafia, not third party, not cult or any other kind of anti-town.

Now it's yours and Krak's turn. Actually, everyone should do it!

I am not third party, I am not cult, I am not mafia, I am not any kind of anti-town and I am indeed Town.
