I'm at work so correct me if I'm wrong, but the gist of the play from Mish was 'Let's run up some trains' whilst there were already votes on 3 other peeps. There is no reason for that at this late stage unless you are voting scum, and mish didn't give any indication that she thought she was voting scum.

Uh, yeah. All the kills done by townies include an item or weapon being used for the kills. When the possessed have killed, it's always mentioned coldness and never a weapon.

Possessed kills seem to also mention a spirit. You're really just noticing that Nol?

That's a very vague statement that could mean any number of things.

 

Kaylee, you seem to be going after the lurkers first. I think we are at a point in the game where we no longer have that luxury. It could be that Crusher or Berf is one of the mafia and was absent when they were supposed to send in their recruit and that's why it skipped a day. If that's the case I think it makes more sense to leave them be and focus on the less lazy possibilities. Which leads me back to Cloud. You didn't mention him, do you think mine and Rand's casing on him was bad or...?

 

 

 

I mentioned that as well about Berf and agree. As far as Darthe I believe he's a good candidate just want to hear from him first.

 

Cloud: My initial thought was town. Why else would Ape and Darthe, if he is indeed scum, push for his lynch? It was the contradiction that changed my mind. I've been mafia with him before and am leaning towards believing him. I think Darthe's lynch would help clear that though.

There is reason to believe mafia skipped their recruiting for an Hour. It's been speculated that it was due to inactive mafia not being around to send in the action. Maybe there is still only one original recruiter or something. It's all speculation granted. IF that's the case though then it is more likely to be one of the players who have kept a really low profile, seemingly through laziness. If we lynch the less lazy of the two mafia then it's possible our lazy mafia will neglect sending in their next kill leaving us at an advantage. Even if it's completely wrong we don't actually lose out as long as we nab another Possessed.

 

Again it's speculation and could be wrong but if you have a better explanation for why they missed their recruit I'd like to hear it.

Whomever is taking all these terrible vig shots should be shot themselves. If what I understood is correct every vig shot has been a miss, if we assume that the remorse shown in the scenes means it was a vig.

Unless people own up to the shots how can we differentiate between vig kills and possessed kills?

One more reason to lynch Peace: 

 

It will prove or disprove Despo's theory about there being a human detective who may be causing the madness the characters experience in the scenes, or else they are just simply vig kills with added flavor (which I doubt because DPR stated that he puts game info in his scenes).

 

We have multiple vig kills claimed by different people.  All of the scenes have the same flavor, Peace's being no different.  Ergo, peace is likely town.  It also fits his "slip" of getting a PM.  He had a vig kill.

In the end, there seemed to be little choice. Vambram tried to calmly explain himself, then he put on a stoic face. He wouldn't lower himself to appease the mob.
 
The rope is hoisted, the floorless tap-dance is performed and then there were only 30 players left.

The thrill of finding the axe was palpable. Images of what to do with it flashed over stains of what had already been done, and the haft was just as covered in dried blood as the head.

Sorting though the large stack of papers in front, she even loses track of everything she has written down. Oh well, it would only take her a moment to re-organize it all...Red begins to make multiple stacks, according to the type of note she made, the color of paper and...
 
Hands wrap around her neck, there grip like frost covered iron. Red is jerked off of the floor from where she sat and struggles for air to no avail.
 
Her body is then tossed across the room, slamming into a wail, at the base of which she crumples and lay still.

The madness creeps through you lie a champagne buzz. It tickles your mind and cause your hands to involuntarily grip.
 
The old wooden baseball bat is leaning in a corner, but you seem to be the only one who has noticed it.

The urge builds until it overwhelms you and you quickly stride to the bat, take it up, and march over to BG. He notices that something is wrong too late as your first blow is a side-swing that crushes into his ribs and steals his breath. You hit him over and over until there is little left to recognize of him... and then your mind clears and you realize what you've just done.
 
No one else saw you. No one else knows. You need to get this blood off...

The group rushes NotBob, fear driving them every bit as much as rage.
 
So many hands hold him that there is no possibility of escape, but he doesn't even try. In fact, he is oddly pliant...until the convulsions begin. They begin as tremors but quickly evolve into a bone shaking so severe that it is difficult to hold him. A terrible moan builds in volume as his mouth opens wider...
 
"Put the damn rope over his head! NOW!"
 
The rope is produced and NotBob is hoisted, body shaking, the moan turning into a scream that should have had no way to escape his rope-constricted throat.
 
His body is shaking so wildly that it is difficult to even hold the other end of the rope, but just you think that you can't hold him any longer, his scream reaches an unearthly pitch and then he goes still.

Wombat sits within a circle of candles, eyes closed, sending his energy out to try and sense the evil presence.
 
NotBob's lynch has emboldened him and he seeks to press that advantage.
 
He shouldn't have.
 
Within the very moment that he first touches the spirit, he wishes he hadn't - it is far worse than he could have ever expected, an evil so dark that he instantly understands why no one has ever stood a chance against it.
 
These thoughts flash through his mind in an instant. In the next instant, the spirit takes hold of Wombat's heart and crushes it.
 
Wombat slumps forward, quite dead.

She catches the reflection of a person behind her in the camera lens and spins to find...
 
A rusty chain crashes into her head, killing her instantly.

A sudden movement from the corner of his eye did cause hime to jerk his head and coalescing in front of him was an apparition.
 
It reached out with overly long fingers, diaphanous in their lack of definition.
 
Empty sockets lay stared at him from the face of death and fear crept into Verbal's chest in a way he had never truly known.
 
That fear grew until the pain was quite unbearable. Clutching at his heart in reflex, the world began to darken and Verbal slumped forward in his chair.

Whereas cold might signal the first touch of the dead, heat is almost always the result of rage, and as the hand tightened upon the length of wood studded with nails, there was no lack of rage in it.
 
Despo had just spoken with a group about his thoughts. Now he walked in a hallway alone, on his way no doubt to speak to another group.
 
He would never have the chance...
 
The nails claw into his skull with a satisfying thwack, and they are difficult to remove, but not impossible. Rage explodes over the scene as the nails bite into flesh again and again...
 
And then the rage leaves as suddenly as it appeared. Once again, a person stands above a dead body and wonders at what they have done...

The hour is late, the darkness feels like it's closing in and the tension's growing thicker.
 
Having doen what he could with the group, Peace finds a corner to sit in and slowly nods off.
 
in the dream he can hear people arguing - but he doesn't care. He's alone here and it's nice to be away from the others. The arguing grows more faint and a quiet settles over him. Peace slips deeper into the dream.
 
The faint prickle of instinct stirs within him and he feels the inexplicable urge to run. He moves to rise only to discover that he can't move. 
 
He tries to call out, but is frozen within himself as he realizes he is awake in his mind, but not yet his body.
 
And the spirit makes its way slowly around a corner to stare at him. It has come for hims because he is alone, and now it will have him.
 
If a soul could claw its way out of the skin that holds it, Peace's would have. But it can't, and Peace died horribly there, alone and unmoving, with his soul trapped in his body like a cage and a spirit come to feast upon his fear.

A group of you peaks quietly as you walk down a hallway to check equipment. The droplet of blood sitting in the middle of the hallway shines bright red under your flashlight. It seems odd for there to be only one, and a feeling of dread creeps over you. 
 
You shine the light further down the hall.
 
Another drop, and then a trail appear. What must have been a trickle turns into a sizable amount, and it leads into a room.
 
It is with great trepidation that you turn the corner and shine the light inside. Sakae lay in several pieces around the room. It is a massacre.

TGlems gasps at the site Sakae's demise and runs from the room, hyperventalating...

It is so strange when you can't trust anyone around you. Or anything for that matter. Dap stares out of the attic window; a large and circular latticework of glass panes. He looks at the road that leads off of this farm and knows that it's only a few more hours until daylight. This madness had to end sometime, after all...
 
A crash behind him sets him spinning, his feet tangling up with one another and a cold hand of death does the rest.
 
Dap crashes through the glass and plummets to the brick pathway below.

Watching. Waiting. Holding the pitchfork out of view until exactly the right moment...
 
In a blur the pitchfork comes up. With a scream born of rage and fear, it is plunged into RTE, the momentum carrying his punctured body to the wooden wall, where it is pinned.
 
RTE's eyes turn black and a low laugh escapes his lips. Then his head drops leaving his lifeless body to hang.

It has watched for some time now, waiting until he was alone. The forces that defy nature do not attack when a person is strong or in numbers; they wait until that person is vulnerable, for when their fear is closest to the surface and can be exploited and fed upon.
 
Rand was tired. Between the confusion, the horror and the adrenaline rushes followed by erie silences, he was running on empty.
 
And that's when the ghost came to him. It stole into his thoughts first, lulling him into a light sleep. Then it trapped Rand in his own mind and chased him through nightmare after nightmare.
 
Rand had only thought he was tired before. But this was all too much and there was nobody there to notice him going into spasm as he slept. No one to wake him up.
 
His body and mind gave out soon thereafter. 
 
The spirit was pleased with its feast of terror. But it needed more...

Here's some info I couldn't gather by just by scouring the thread for posts by DPR, it could be useful to know who FLIR'd who.

For the record, since I never outright stated it, I FLIR'd myself and in hindsight I really regret that as I'd rather have used it on someone else and been lynched. I don't think it helped us much just clearing me for that hour.

 

Also vig kills. I think Mish and Peace both claimed a kill but there may have been others? If you've killed anyone with a vig kill or if there was someone else that claimed using a vig kill that I'm not recalling please post.

The scenes contain information. Almost all of that information will be unclear until the game ends. Focus less on flavor with which mafia can easily misdirect (and are obviously trying re: Ape) and confuse town and more on scum tells.

My case on Mish is actually pretty damn solid despite it lacking a slew of quotes.

I know Tigraine claimed a vig kill; I know competing trains was a low strategy. I was interested in who'd jump on the easy lynch. With 4 to lynch, and 2 possessed, it only takes town to place 2 votes on another townie and it's game over. Considering that Nol has two votes and that hasn't happened; that means he's either mafia or has a one mafia on his train (Kaylee). Same with me now; I've got two votes too, and the mafia hasn't jumped on, so clearly either Nol or Berf (or both) is mafia.

Pro tip for those who may not be aware: most of the time when someone tells you they played bad on purpose, it's a lie.

Who was voting you until just now? Who seems to have waited until someone was at 2 votes before slapping on a third?

I've been making every effort to keep everyone active and on track. My voting record speaks for itself, I've been on every mafia lynch, and you at least KNOW I was town during hour 2. There is something to be said for reasonable suspicion and I'll grant everyone that but my play has been consistently pro town all game. Look at my postcount compared to everyone else's. Of those at the endgame only Cloud came close. I put myself out there all game, not just scumhunting, but so I could be felt out in return. That's what town does. They project their intents and own up to their mistakes when they make them. Mafia doesn't want to post and make all kinds of excuses for their behavior ("did it intentionally to see who would vote me"), they want to vote and hide because the more they talk the more they give away. There have been studies done about this. It's how mafia works. There's nothing more I can say, I've played the best game that I could and this is the case for my life. Believe it or not this is the end I guess.

I'm suspicious of everyone except Tigy at this point. It's more curious that Kronos hasn't said much recently, especially with two trains at L-2. For now

Or Nol is scum and that's why he didn't have more than 2 votes. I know Tigy or I aren't scum. That's all I know. Mish could also be scum for that matter. If she is then of course they wouldn't come in and hammer. If I was scum and Mish town then I'd have jumped on her train putting her at L-1. I would've built a case as well. Instead I built a case on whom I felt was scum and voted there.

I do admit scum was wise not trying to put another vote or two on Tigys train.

I know Tigraine claimed a vig kill; I know competing trains was a low strategy. I was interested in who'd jump on the easy lynch. With 4 to lynch, and 2 possessed, it only takes town to place 2 votes on another townie and it's game over. Considering that Nol has two votes and that hasn't happened; that means he's either mafia or has a one mafia on his train (Kaylee). Same with me now; I've got two votes too, and the mafia hasn't jumped on, so clearly either Nol or Berf (or both) is mafia.
