You are right, it doesn't make any sense but your logic of the mafia having a framing ability does even less so, and you honestly deserve a medal if you actually managed to convince Kronos and Mish of your BS.

 

I say it all the time. It is my mafia mantra. The deeper into a game you get the more likely it is that the clean players are scum, scum knows how NOT to look dirty all along, while townies can't help it.

You really think DPR designed the game this straight forward and didn't give scum teh ability to alter results in any way? Look at the amount of viewings and vig kills we've had relative to the amount of conversions we've seen. DPR has told us exactly how limited the conversion ability for scum is, and has told us exactly how many we are looking for in each phase.

 

It would be illogical for him NOT to provide scum with some sort of framing ability. Bad balance. With all the games he's designed, do you think he really effed the balance up that bad here?

I don't believe that his vote controll was real and if you look at the timing it was just after I mentioned that Ape's FLIR thingy would be the first time a result has been altered this game. When Darthe made that post it gave extra support to Ape's case, and if he was in fact vote controlled I doubt he would hint at it.

Even if that were true I imagine we would have seen examples of vote controlling by now on different players even if it was one shot. Also it's pretty well understood that most of the time when your actions are being controlled you are not allowed to talk about it or even hint at it. Darthe even says that he's "in trouble" but have we seen any consequence? I can't imagine DPR would put a power like that in the game without stipulating that you can't tell people your vote is being controlled and if he did and Darthe did it anyway, where is the consequence? It doesn't add up. And why why WHY would the mafia control DARTHE to vote CLOUD? Two lurkey players that haven't been a threat to them as far as I can tell. No. It was a distancing attempt and a poor one at that.

First of all to Nolder: Cloud doesn't do fake emo. I know him better than anyone, and that was genuine upset. I belive he was in a state of mind where he shouldn't have been online at all. He threw out statements he didn't mean. Yeah I know you're the mafia machine who doesn't understand this thing about getting actually emotionally upset by a game, but others do.

We're 11 players left, with 3 possessed. We're still doing alright. But if anyone gets any more items, I suggest they speak up before using them. They don't have to say who they're planning on using it on. But right now information needs to get out in the open.

 

Btw I would guess that it was Tress who used the FLIR then, since no-one else has come forward with it.

In all seriousness I do not think that people DON'T get emotional over mafia. I KNOW they do. I have DONE IT.

 

But when you are looking at it from an outside perspective you can't look at it as anything BUT GAMEPLAY. To do otherwise is a dangerous precedent and leads to being emotionally manipulated by the mafia.
