wait, maybe I am mixing up roles. What role would be able to see town and what would be able to protect someone? A doc protects and a cop can discern? Is that it? One way or the other lol could it be possible for Hallia to false claim to hid the scum? or even claim herself and one other scum and one town to help hide? I know it doesn;t sound clear lol (margaritas) so sorry.

It matters because if she is mafia and she leaves it ambiguous she's not stepping on anyone's toes. If she claims doc or cop and is lying then we'll have a counter claim.

Nolder, why are you so insistant learning what her claim is exactly? Maybe she has some reasons to keep that hidden.

It's a basic game so I wouldn't count on any elaborate role. The mafia obviously know her role now because they know who they've targeted. If it's not who they targeted then she's the cop. If it is then she's the doc. So if they know I don't get why she wouldn't want town to know. 

 

 

You're right.  With an advanced game it'd be ok to keep it quiet, and they might not be sure, but they'll know anyways now, I saved 2 nights in a row. 

 

 

If by chance the cop has looked at others already we could have 6 cleared town at this point.  Something to think about in determining a time to reveal.

Is there ALWAYS A doc role with mafia? Is there a possibility hallia is protecting Dap and Peace by claiming they are all 3 town when, prior to that post, someone mentions in a game of 15 that there would likely be 3 mafia?

No there isn't but usually. 

 

This would be a bad play since neither of us had heat...and it would out the whole scum team.  Would be very poor scum play.  A very risky move.

Furthermore, if the cop has viewed two more people not either of them then he can confirm himself and them.  With 6 confirmed town in the game our chances of catching mafia increase to 50% and we can no longer lose the game if they go one more day.  This was a good time to reveal, hally.  Now you can coordinate with the cop and the mafia is stuck WIFOMing the situation.  If you protect yourself then they will confirm the other person as town anyhow and if you protect the other it can be a two-fer.  Either way the cop will know who not to view.

I think the discussion between Suki and Mish is interesting.  One of the two is likely scum.  Leaning Suki atm.

Anyway with no counter claims and most people checked in I'm satisfied Hallia is telling the truth. I didn't really doubt it much after she claimed but I think it's better to vet people than to just let claims go by completely unchallenged.

 

Piece of advice for the future though Hallia, if you're ever a doc again you almost never want to protect anyone but yourself N1. There are rare exceptions but in most cases you wont know that anyone but yourself is town and it's better to protect an important town power role (yourself) than people you aren't sure of.

Look, its simple. Someone has to be the real Lee, not an image. Mish had no reason to say "seriously, this time" unless the first time she claimed she

was lying. We weren't even close to an actual lynch (2 votes for 2 players), and she made an emotional appeal. Reeks of panic. then she tries to take

it back by saying she'll "allow" us to consolidate, a few posts later. You guys judge, I've made up my mind.

30 minutes apart, she goes from an attempted lynch on someone we have confirmed as ascum target, to implying she was lying the first time she claimed

but that now she should be protected because "she's Lee" (although (I think it was Mills) i got jumped on for implying the same thing she did: ie there is a "real"

lee and the rest of us are fake); and then a switch to vanilla.

If everyone is Lee equally, then vanilla = Lee. But she didn't say vanilla the first time, she made a plea, as if anyone would care if she was Lee if we are all Lee.

2 things:

 

First, at the time who'd know I was a scum target?

 

Second, where does she ask to be protected?

No one knew you were a scum target, but that night, after Mish voted for you, Hally covered you and you were targeted and saved.

Mish votes for you, and when the lynch failed, tried to NK you but Hally tossed a wrench in the plans. (My read, feel free to disagree) Now that hally has revealed, we know you

were subject to an attempted lynch for "townie-defending" (I'm not sure what that is, or why it would be bad (shouldn't the town be defended o.O)

and going for the "easy lynch" - Not even close to true, 5 votes shy of a lynch when D2 ended.
