Hi, I've been lurking around the kin for a little bit.

 

So what are you guys about...it seems like you are all very friendly.

Kin is about closeness. Its the most close knit social group i think. Then we have crafts and activities. I will let others explain more

Kronos!!!! The Kin is all about friendship. There are some arts and crafts mixed in. But I believe the Kin is more of a place for friends to gather. To talk about things we have in common and to be there for each other.

Lor, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly sure the Kin was formed to be a drama-free zone, in response to some happenings elsewhere. She wanted to be in a great org where power plays are a non-factor.

 

It is a great social group, for sure, even if she won't let me become an Orange Sash!

The Kin is a small group where everybody knows each other, newcomers aren't overlooked and friends are missed when they are gone. It doesn't have the same hierarchy as other groups - members report their own advancement and you don't have to learn which minor officers do what for whom how. Everybody here is fairly active, so if you want to host a thread, do it and you'll see lots of participation. There are also regular craft projects and mail exchanges and (so far as I'm aware) you don't need permission to start one (though it does help to be prepared and coordinate with other crafters.)

I love it here.  Close friends, shared and varied interests, lots of fun, a place to relax with others.  I'm learning lots from other folks.  H, has some interesting past times!  i'm glsd you decided to check us out.

Hey, wbk! I'm Lor, the crazy lady who runs this place. I don't really have much to add to what they already said, since they seem to have hit it on the head.

 

Basically, we do everything here. We have a theme for each month and we hang out and enjoy each other's company as a drama-free zone. We can talk sports, movies, crafts, holidays... whatever's on your mind in a space where we might pick on you for rooting for the wrong team(go Dawgs!) But we'll never treat you differently because of your uneducated taste in college football teams.;)

 

I try to keep things interesting for everyone and not make it feel too girlie (because I'm not much of a girlie-girl, anyway) and earning new sashes is more about having a party than earning rights off privileges.

 

Feel free to poke around and participate whoever you'd liked until you finally give up and join the awesomeness. ;)
