Grab your popcorn folks...

I'm just pointing out that they contradict each other. Your first point says that someone wouldn't give a pass unless they already knew the one they were giving it to was clear of being scum, being scum themselves. In the next post, you say that it's a cheap tactic for avoiding voting for a teammate. I just wanted clarification.

>

Actually I think it's her fourth one  I think she was in three at once, poor girl! That's a way to kickstart things

Tiink, your posts are contradicting; in your first you're implying that the only reason to give a newcomer a D1 pass is if the more experienced player is scum and the newcomer is not; in the second you say that scum would use it as an excuse as to not vote a newcomer teammate...

That's pretty much what I said Mish

You need to read my posts and stop tunnel visioning.

The only reason to give anyone a free pass on D1 is if you know that they're not the threat, and the only way to know that is to be the threat yourself. How is that not blatantly obvious?

>>

Tiink you also pointed out that by Turin giving me a D1 pass basically admited he knew I wasn't a threat. "Blatantly" obvious even. Then in the next post you said it was a way to avoid voting for a teammate. So which is it?

You've misunderstood. And you do you somehow think that one of your teammates would qualify as being a threat?

Dude, a D1 pass is to not scare new players away from the game; give them a chance to learn! Because if not it would become almost a standard to lynch first time players D1 because they're easy to push into a corner, and then we'd never get new players at all. FoS on you for that.

Oh. God.

I know what the flip it is, but you do it by giving them the benefit of the doubt in their argument and acknowledging their scummy play but deciding to not look as much into it as you would an experienced player. Not by standing up and announcing that you're free to do whatever you want since you're a newb. That's abusing your holy "Day 1 get out of jail free" card and using it as a supposedly legit reason for not voting a teammate.

just pointed out two ways the scum can use it to their advantage and you haven't given any valid counter point than say "We need to get the newbies to be comfortable with the game" and even that's a stretch. Can you point out why my reasoning is wrong? It's the second time you've tried to coast along with someone else's reasoning. Ironically, from this entire farce what I've garnered is you trying to sneakily push lynches without getting your hands dirty. If you had voted me then I wouldn't have really bothered to take notice since it'd show you ready to put yourself out there but since you haven't it's just made me think that you're trying to get by without any personal input and keeping open the safety to say "I was only agreeing with ___". Scum tactic numero uno.

Unvote, Vote Mish[/color=red]

You basically took the words right out of my mouth. It was interesting to me that Tiink found you scummy for this very reason, being that he flipped town and all.

Mish has gone quiet.

She also stated she would be absent coincidently right before you played your little diversion card against her. Stop skimming.

My defense of you when Tiink seemed to be making an obvious diversion move.

TG, I just said I was reading up, jeez.

Caught up now and here's my impressions;

LZM, RTE, TG, Chuckles, null tell. To little info. Do find it a bit odd that Chuckles kept his joke vote for so long.

Hallia, Time, a bit insecure newcomers... Especially Hallia posts a lot of fluff. She hasn't come with any stances on what she thinks about either Tiink or Rand (the two most debated things so far), only slightly agreeing with others. Time made a post with quotes, basically.

Peace - unsure, no sure read either way.

Dap - doesn't want to have anything to do with Tiink's train, but doesn't try to do anything to derail it either. Feels like distancing.

AJ - eager first timer  A bit overeager, but I know he's been waiting anxiously for this to start, heh. Town read.

Snow - feels a bit flippy floppy. He uses a lot of words to say... basically nothing. Still, gut says town for now.

Rand - the jokevote thing feels blown out of porportions by everyone else. But I did find it interesting that when he showed up, he completly ignored the whole debate around Tiink and only defended himself. Slight ping.

Tiink - I found him slightly ping-worthy when I was last online in the game, and that's only gotten worse. After I warn I'll be AWOL he votes me, pushing the attention from himself over to me, he claims to be ignorant of things that has been discussed around him and then he uses my abscense to again take attention away from him and over on me.

Vote Tiink

Your vote on Tiink, which looking back now seemed like an easy thing for you to do. His train was already underway, and the fact he had pointed fingers at you made it even more so.

Am I the only one who find it funny that TG, with his five posts, wants to lynch inactives?

Initially pointing a finger towards TG. Playfully, but noted.

And where is your vote Chuckles? It's fine that the majority of posts come when you're not online. But you've been on, when people have been posting, without giving your thoughts or placing a serious vote!

RTE; I dislike your attempt at buddying. No-one, even me trying to put the best picture on things, can say that I've been activly scumhunting this game; I was AWOL for half the posts. You're trying to tie yourself to me and I don't like it.

I disagree with about all of your rant btw; you're looking at it all wrong. First off, a good mafia game is an active mafia game. Peace's Hangar 18 game was killing me because it was so little posting. Instead of complaining, we should all be happy with 20 pages and counting on Day 1! D1 lays down a lot of groundwork, and later in the game, when you've found a mafia or two, going back to reread D1 is a well of information; who backed who, who went after who. On D1 the mafia is still relaxed and have bigger chances or either following on to each others cases (to make a lynch happen and get the game rolling) or do some, in hindsight, blatant distancing by arguing over a tiny thing. It's been in several of the games I've been in where D1-interaction has been crucial later in game to make cases that makes scum dead.

Also, casing the mod... Wow.

Pushing for a vote. I'm guilty of this as well, but by now I'm convinced that you new Tiink was a townie and wanted to see him dead since I basically did all the work for you.

Okay, so after yesterday's events... this is my take on the game.

Snow - His forgetting of Turin's ISO is strange. His read on Tiink was true, however. He is also the only person to really mention the roles thus far in the game, starting with his first post where he playfully claims to be doc. He seemed to try to dictate one of the PRs move for N1, but I don't think there was malice behind it. Leaning town.

Time - Her first post gave me a WTF moment. Page 2 and she checks in by saying she can't remember if she signed in or not? Probably nothing other than ill attention. Her vote was the hammer on Tiink, although that case was a bit better than her others where she basically just posted a wall of quotes. Either way, need more from her.

Rand - Lesigh. Dude is irritating me. His lack of play is bothersome, as well as his choice not to vote. Over defensive. Seems very lurky or that he just isn't paying attention which doesn't sit well with me.

Peace - Keeps it short and sweet. Heckles Rand early on then turns his vote to Tiink after Tiink's obvious play to turn attention off him which looked very scummy (of Tiink) and kept it there. Town read.

Hallia - Still waiting for her reply to my last question. Been hanging back some, mostly just repeats other's thoughts. Probably getting coached up as well. Not too sure...

Mish - Votes Tiink for obvious reasons as he was trying to turn the attention towards her. The fact he turned up town and thinks her scum is interesting. She pushes for a few votes from others, but then again, so did I. Contributing, making relevant posts, sort of aggressive. Town read initially, but keeping an eye on her.

My original take on Mish. There was nothing random about my casing, as she suggested earlier after I voted.

Hm.

Really unsure about AJ now. D1 I just wrote him down as overeager newbie; we'd been talking a little bit before the game started up and he's been waiting VERY eagerly for a game to start, heh. Now I'm starting to wonder if a mafia team has decided to use that. It would be a brilliant move; make the newbie with the D1 pass push a lynch on D1, well later he can't be faulted too badly for it, he's still just an overeager newbie, blame is on the more experienced players who followed along, and so he can slip under the radar that way. Even better when Tiink tried to paint me scummy; they could have gotten a 2 for 1 package with one lynch. Notice how AJ defended me against Tiink. Not liking that one bit.

I'm torn about the NK. It could be a framejob on TG, or it could be he is mafia and they wanted to make it look like a frame job so that TG would earn town cred.

I'm also unsure about Hallia. She skated by for as long as she could without giving a proper though of her own, agreeing with others cases and posting fluff.

Otherwise I agree on what's being said about Rand. Most disturbing to me is Rand not commenting at all on the Tiink-casing going on when he turned up, instead just talking about it joke vote, it took him a very long time to acknowledge the Tiink-train. Wich is odd because it really was the only thing going on.

So far I have a town read on Dap and Turin, and Time, RTE, Chucles and peace I don't have enough read on either way.

WIFOM galore. First about me and being a tool for the scum team to use under the guise of a D1 pass. One of the very things she called Tiink down for earlier when she nearly copied my post verbatim. Weird. And then, bringing up the NK. Anyone playing this game with a mind that can reason would've seen the potential for this to happen. The fact that you've been the ONLY one to mention it stands out to me. You already pointed a finger in TG's direction once, now you are throwing in more thoughts for suspicion.

Andrej; gut feeling mainly.

Your answer when I asked how you got your read on Turin.

Oh I love it when I'm reading up and the last post mentions me  Good morning.

I wasn't able to get on parts on the forum yesterday; got cloudflare at certain parts, but not on others. Anyone else experienced that?

Akward poke on me there though AJ. Why me, and not Snow, Chuckles, or TG? They have been way more quiet in the whole game and missing for longer.

My town vibe on Turin comes from having been town with him; masons, so I feel like I am quite familar with his town meta, and he's on it. I dislike using meta as a reason, but there it is.

Now I think it was Dap that mentioned earlier that he didn't like me musing about the NK and potential set-up on TG. I'm more curious that nobody else mentioned it. Nightkills are always for a reason; they can be used to cast or remove suspicion from someone. You just brushing that off, is worrying for me.

I'm always loathe to vote replacements on the day they get in. Been in enough games to know that both town and mafia gets replaced at an equal rate, you really can't use it as a scum tell. And slight FoS on those who did just that. I'm not saying Rand didn't dig a deep hole; he did. But those who used him asking to be replaced as a tell big enough to place a vote... That's scum tactics. That goes especially for you Peace.

Actually, vote Peace

Backing up your gut feeling with meta, not much of an explanation. Twisting the fact that Rand asking to be replaced while being active elsewhere is a scummy reason to vote him. I disagree. He was playing in other games and is actually hosting one for the BT in the Faire. Hardly seems like he's too busy to play here as well. Looking back, I also saw that you never even stated your opinion on Rand's play earlier but now you are so buddy-buddy with Ishy. You were quick to vote Tiink because his case made most sense, and I see now that I made a mistake and cased him so hard that it made it easier for the scum team to lynch a townie. And lastly... your bandwagoning onto Peace's train. I think by now he already had 3 votes against him, so it looked like his train was getting under way. Another easy lynch.

You haven't cased a person on your own yet. You just simply hang back and wait for someone to make a mistake and get called for it before you throw in a vote once their lynch mob gets moving. It's subtle, I admit, but I have been keeping an eye on you and now with Ishy arriving to replace Rand it all but solidified this for me. I expected his vote to be for me, which it was, ironically after I started to pressure you a bit.

tl;dr

So let me see if I understand. You're going out of your way to defend Peace, by calling him an easy lynch? Well, when one is the absolute scummiest player in the game, it stands to reason that they'd be an easy lynch. It's the very definition.

And you're somehow linking Mish and I together, based on what exactly? Because she said hi to me?

And you've yet to explain to my satisfaction why you expected my vote. Wishful thinking maybe? My dreamy blue eyes? Or maybe my tight, perfectly sculpted ass, either would be acceptable and understandable.

If I were a man of lower morals, then perhaps

But really...

Because I would be an easy case, it would be easy to flip me into looking like scum because of how I've played this game. I've been aggressive, I've pushed. I've been reactive and lashed out at people. Really brash, tbh, I should work on that but that's for a later time.

The easy lynch thing refers to her not having to case anyone to see them dead. This game has been mostly inactive, with a handful of players all poking at one another so eventually someone is going to get voted. All she has to do is step in and place a vote once the train got rolling. It's pretty simple. Speaking of which... since you think Peace is the scummiest player in the game why haven't you voted him yourself?

I already stated how I think the two of you are connected. Just like the way you are trying to connect me to Peace now by saying that I'm defending him; you're defending her.

Posted

I wouldn't say otherwise, but I still think you're teammates.

Only the coroner reports show the truth. But I gotta say man... for the Greatest. Scum. Hunter. Ever. you're barking up the wrong tree.

I would vote your perfectly sculpted ass any day.  Thank you for making my night better.

If you dig the ass, you should see my pecs. Just sayin.

Agh! Bad memories of some weird times in Trehli.

You say weird, I say epic.

I'm content with my vote

Ill go back and go through that post of yours with comments later. I slogged thorough it though. Well done you defend yourself, as for adding more to the Mish case, most of your case was you quoting your old case posts and adding a final thoughts kind of paragraph at the end.

I kinda agreed with some of it when you first said it, but this new post didn't add too much tbh

Were you addressing me again Dap?

When I voted Mish originally I was at the BBQ and on my phone. I came back home and went back to provide what gave me my reasons for voting her

Posted

I haven't voted him because I want competing trains, more suspects equals more info at deadline and into tomorrow.

And I'm just sticking up for her cuz she's purty.

 You charmer you.

Chuckles, because votes are how the game runs forward, and your reluctance to place a vote doesn't make you look good.

AJ; I really don't see how you think I could have done anything different. I explained to Tiink why his post confused me, and you did too. We both had the same conclusion, yes. I had an abscense that I clearly stated I would have, and when I came back Tiink was the obvious choice to vote. I have stated my opinion on Rand/Ishy; I said I found it suspicious than he didn't comment on anything about Tiink when he showed up (wich, I see, nobody else has noticed much, even those pushing for him). I think the initial case is blown out of proportions, there I am more interested in those who made that in the first case. But I'm not gonna vote Ishy today; I think replacements should get at least one day to assert their play before getting lynched (regardless of who the replacement is...). Turin hasn't done anything to make me think he's not town so far; it doesn't make me mafia just because I don't share your view on a player.

Posted

I must say that I disagree with quite a bit of your takes. Obviously the most wrong being that you have me as mafia. I was second on Tiink's train after I had a chance to actually interact with him and hear that what he was saying did not make sense to me. Then I pushed for his lynch so there is no way that my actions were not noticed. I put out the case and  people agreed that he was the best lynch. But welcome to the game.

My opinions in Blue..

My vote for mafia: Peace, RTE, Ishy

suspect: chuckles, Snow, Hallia

not sure: Time,

Town lean: AJ, Dap, Mish

Town read: Turin

'Welcome to the game'? Great snarky comment meant to discredit my entire post. And then you have Peace and Rand/Ishy as the mafia team? Peace and Ishy? Peace who has been going after Rand all game, and Ishy who calls Peace the scumminest player in the game? That is your mafia team? Either you have never played mafia before and think that in small, basic games mafia try to get their teammates lynched, or you just slipped up and outed yourself. I'm now completely convinced you are mafia.

unvote, vote Turin the Terrible[b/]
