I saw. But of course they wouldnt. There was still such a little hope of you surviving and you needed to. So they couldn't

 

but the fact that i got the mafia annoyed and i was mentioned means my vanilla play is finally immproving

Two to go =)  I could run it at 13 but it would be a slight town disadvantage.  If you all want this then the setup will be as follows:

 

Three mafia

 

Two town 1 shot cops

 

eight vanilla town

 

if I run it as current the setup is the same with seven vanilla town

That sounds fine to me. It seems to me that in the majority of the games that I've been in lately there's always a slight town advantage.

I'd say that is too unbalanced.  Every lynch target is gonna claim 1 - shot cop to avoid a lynch and 2 players will have to counter claim thus meaning only 1 viewing makes it to day 2.

You could tweak it as even day 1 shot cop and odd day 1 shot cop to avoid the counter claim issue.

But I do not want to.  I intend for this game to be a difficult game for the town.  

 

After all, there is a reason that power roles are coveted.  Vanilla is hard as shiz.  

 

But if one did fake claim one shot cop it will leave the town with a dead mafia member, an innocent child (basically) and two people up on the standards for a mafia game.

No it wouldn't, cause there's another out there...Unless both counterclaimed.  Then one cop dies night one and you essentially only have 1 cop.

 

I'd rather have 1 cop or no cops than 2 one shot cops.  You are providing the scum team with a claim that can't be disproven without town lynching a claimed cop.  And the other cop has no protection at night.

How is this different from the Hangar 18 game Peace? It would have been super easy to fake claim a role there too the same way. Roles or lack thereof isn't why town lost.

Mish, it is significantly different.  It leads the mafia's NK and keeps people from guessing setups because it is fully open.  

 

This thing is hard as hell.  

 

Of course, if you guys don't kill the one shot cop and they live for enough time it could wreak havoc on the entire thread for mafia to claim.

 

The game would essentially be down to chance.  

 

I may change a cop for a vig.  

 

1 shot cop, 1 shot vig is better balance me thinks.
