Currently I'm happy to lynch either Cyan or Testy, both have appeared pretty scummy to me. I'll leave my vote where it is for the moment.

Also, TG, how did you go from changing your opinion on LZM from 'oh he's confirmed town to me' to 'he's definately scum, vote LZM' so quickly?

 

Sorry Cyan, I saw it but have been busy and forgot.

 

When I first posted I was suspicious because I thought that "this is a basic game so how likely is a jailkeeper?" Then, when I was directed to look at game setup I saw there was a jailkeeper role and made a quick post that if there was a role then it made sense. I then went back to the game description and actually read it more in depth and realized that there are multiple town power roles and mafia gets to choose. So I realized that A) he could be mafia claiming a role where there is no CC, B) he could really be jailkeeper and trying to WIFOM and confuse the entire town while putting himself at risk of a mafia NK, thus purposely not helping the town with his early reveal, or C) he could be vanilla town and just purposely trying to confuse a bunch of new players for amusement. Either a, b or c is anti-town I think.

 

As for LZM's defending himself, the only thing he said was that he could WIFOM everyone and that would be great fun. At no point did he ever say that any of his play was pro-town for any reason.

But the fact is TG, that right now we have no way of knowing what it is. So lynching LZM without any reason at all is a really stupid move; best scenario is we lynch a mafia, worst is we loose a town power role. And the odds aren't good enough that we can risk that.

well for the moment there just isn't any good target. for now i think i will put my vote on cyan, just to reciprocate, but that could change any time. i'm willing to let lzm go for the night see if he survives then start trying to figure him out from there.

honestly just haven't decided who i want to vote on. so who has given me the most reason at the moment? but quite simply i haven't made up my mind. may end up switching to lzm by the end, yet there are still players left to chime in, never know.

There are 9 pages full of posts to look at. If you don't know who to vote, go back and read them again. We have a deadline soon, even though it just got extended, activity is lower on the weekend. Waiting to put your real vote down doesn't help anyone but mafia. It's already been pointed out why voting for LZM is a stupid idea. Do you actually have a proper case on him? If not, what is your reason for voting him? You need to stop waiting for other people to do things and start playing.

Also....I suppose I am willing to change my vote to achieve a lynch, though I would prefer if I didn't have to. I mean seriously, look at how Testy's been playing. He has been spammy and lazy and I have yet to see him do something to benefit town.

 

Starry and Len, you both placed votes on me for voting LZM. What's your reason for keeping them there?

I have not really got a case on you any longer Cyan. You playing hardball against LZM pinged very hard, but that petered out into nothing. Little things are pushing a bit towards you, particularly your hard case on Testy (he is still playing scummy however), but I think that it's not really that strong anymore. Len has jumped in and played hardball on everyone, that seems to be just an effective scumhunt.

 

One other option no-one's thought about; The mafia might choose to not NK LZM (that is, if we stop trying to lynch him, goddamnit), just to create WIFOM and make us do it for them tomorrow.

 

It would be a completly idiotic move what LZM has done, if he was mafia. Yes, of course there is a chance that he is. You can never know for sure someone's allegiance until their dead. But right now, we have no evidence that says LZM is not town. In a game this small, mafia is 2-3 people, the only game I've played in this small it was only 2 mafia. So we can afford to let LZM live a day or two more while we keep an eye on him.

 

That being said, Cyan, I think you're coming on VERY hard on a first time player. In a game where 1/3 of the players are first time players, it's hard to maintain a first day pass, but still. Most of the things you post as reasons to find Testy scummy, is newbie mistakes. I find your post very aggresive and a bit iffy to be honest. FoS.

Might be a link to LZM, not-so-subtle pushing against his lynch, but it looks to me like too obvious a move, and not in Mish's style. I'm getting a town read from Mish.

One post, not on topic. We haven't seen Loading since. Come on guys, we need activity from everyone, lurking will get you either lynched or modkilled. It's also a very boring way to play.

If you're lynched and flip town it will prove that you made a completely ridiculous play.

 

Yes, you're play makes no sense at all, but the only possibilities from it are anti-town. So far you've offered no defense at all as far as I can see.

This doesn't click well with me. Seems like TGlems is up to something with this. From all I see, LZM has probably garnered some good info from his ploy, whether he is mafia or not.
