Why does BG never say he's invincible? I would totally use that all the time if I was him.

 

Anyhoo, not sure what to think about Mr. Snow right now. I hate his new lurky playstyle, but he's used it as both town and scum lately so it's kind of a null tell. As for the claim, 1 shot roles are extremely easy to fake claim, especially with the role cop thing. And Boris isn't exactly that big of a Bond villain either.

 

In fact, I'm pretty sure I want to vote him, especially after showing up to claim without saying anything else, but first I wanna do a quick reread to see if I can help get town back in this game

And really, the 1 shot role cop thing seems a little more suspect to me, but more than everything else it's the fact that you have lurked too much lately and don't seem to care about giving thoughts about other players.

Someone mentioned this as a possible slip before. Tink seemed very off to me this game, wasn't active very much at all, and coming in right after that lynch day 2 seemed really scummy to me. Anyhoo just bringing him back up

Darthe makes a complaint directed at no one in particular, yet Kaylee seems to take it personally. Incidentally, this is even more suspicious cause she had been spamming recently up to this point, then said she wasn't posting game thoughts cause no one else was on?

Is this going to be another game where I get speed lynched for no apparent good reason. YAY! I don't have enough reasons to hate mafia yet, bring it on.

 

This post still doesn't sit well with me at all. All the pressure at that time was mainly on either me or Darthe, I don't even remember anyone fos'ing her at all in the pages leading up to this.

 

Either JLM has been crazy skimmy this game, and mainly just looks for her own name, or she has a bit of the guilty complex so posted this out of nowhere

 

Considering the pace of this game I do not believe that I will live through the day if I do not claim. This greatly displeases me to do but I am 006, Alec Trevelyan.

I haven't either. I googled his claim.

 

I did too, but I read that he got shot and and was working with a 007 agent. Thought that meant he was really an agent. My bad.

 

This whole exchange was kind of weird.

 

So Kae claims she didn't know who exactly the character was cause she hasn't seen the movies, yet googled the name... and was still confused?

 

Here's the Bond wiki link for Alec Trevelyan right right here. Aside from the fact that the first couple of sentences make it very clear Alec was up to no good, faking his death and all, it's also kind of funny in that the categories in the wiki have names like "Evil scheme", "How plans were foiled", and "Attempted methods of killing Bond".

 

Obviously I'm not sure which link she clicked on, but other sources I checked were pretty much the same, and made it clear immediately that he was a bad guy.

 

So, I would be willing to vote BB, John Snow, Peace, or Tiinker. None of them have posted much, and seem to be lurking.

 

BB, John Snow, and Tiinker have been lurking everywhere. Don't know about Peace, he should be active.

 

This stood out cause Rand defends 3 people, all of which are somewhat suspicious to me, yet casts aspersion at Peace, who of course we know ended up as town.

 

This is a BIG ping if you ask me, and connects Rand somewhat to these three people, if one of them were to flip scum it would make it look pretty bad for Rand

Incredibly scummy vote. She says nothing about Tress's claim, just says she'll roll with it right after Tress just said that she didn't want to sacrifice herself, but her role could be risked easier than others.

Sorry guys I missed Tresses claim just before my vote. I think she ninja'd me iirc also I had an appointment yesterday afternoon that I left work for then went to vote so I wouldn't have made it back for deadline anyway. But I should have paid closer attention.

With so little time Vote Tress There's no time to start a new lynch train and I'm not voting for the un-CC'd cop (Ok granted it's only been two minutes but still)

 

Here's what's so scummy about this:

 

If you look at the time stamps, JLM's post comes about 40ish minutes after Tress claimed. Oh yeah, she could claim that she wasn't fully caught up yet so didn't see Tress's post but wanted to get a vote in anyways cause she was busy, but here's the thing: she acknowledges Darthe's claim, which came AFTER TRESS HAD CLAIMED. So either JLM once again is being an incredibly scummy skimmer, or she's a LLL. Either way I think her play has seriously hurt town this game

 

Although I would have also voted Basel with that finding.

 

Oh gawd another just turrible post. Blech. I literally just got a bad taste in my mouth.

I have an appointment later and may not be back for deadline so I'm going to Vote NS.

 

Important because at the time Tink and NS were tied with 2 votes, then Key voted NS, but hasn't played with him before so doesn't know how noobish he is. JLM then swoops in with her vote, which is once again apparently rushed (), so it looks like if someone wants to consolidate they HAVE to vote for NS. And I bet JLM would argue that she was trying to consolidate, but at the time NS had just gotten one more vote than Tink, so that doesn't really hold up

 

Despo, who do you think is a good target for today? After yesterday's fail on my part, I'm not sure what to do.

 

Don't like Kae buddying up to me here, but on reread I will admit that her play didn't really seem quite as scummy

Alright so here are my post reread thoughts:

 

My top picks for scum right now are Rand, Kaylee, and JLM. Mr. Snow hasn't been that helpful this game, but he pretty much stopped being that helpful in mafia games a few games ago. His role claim isn't that strong, but the character claim is passable I guess. Two other people I am highly suspicious of are Darthe 2.0 (he replaced Tink, who I already stated a few times I am suspicious of), and Key (replaced Bard Babe, and really I can't see BG letting Bard Babe coast that long without getting replaced if she was town).

 

Kae seems more townish to me upon reread, I know I'm town, and Tress asking to be replaced strikes me more as townie frustrated that town is doing so bad now, and I'm buying Snow's claim for now, especially cause the biggest pusher for his lynch is JLM, who seems uberscummy to me.

 

So imo, our lynch should be between Rand, Kaylee, JLM, Darthe 2.0, and Key. Key I'm giving a pass on for now because out of everyone else on this list she has the least against her. Rand hasn't been very helpful and has been spammy, but his voting record isn't really that bad. Which narrows the pool down to 3

 

Darthe 2.0/Tink: Tink had 2 votes on him when NS all of a sudden started getting speedvoted. Tink was pretty much nonexistant most of the game, had a slip earlier that Darthe 1.0 pointed out, and was defended directly by Rand, and indirectly by Kaylee, Key and JLM when they pushed the NS lynch (also Mr. Snow, but as I said for now I'm buying his claim)

 

Kaylee: Has had some straight up disgusting posts, popping in after a lynch and going "Shucks! If I had known better, I would have unvoted! My b yall!", defending herself personally when someone made a general comment about activity (and just after she had been spamming), and oh yeah her voting record is just AWFUL. Voted for Tress 1.0 right after Tress claimed, then said "Whoops!" afterwards, DIDN'T vote for Basel, then said she would have had she not missed the lynch ( you gotta be frikkin kidding me), yet ends up being an early vote on NS's lynch.

 

JLM: Her main crime is that she appears to be guilty of extreme skimming, or else has just plain lied her tail off this game. If she is town, she has greatly hurt town by always voting even when she isn't paying attention to everything. She also got emo-defensive midway through the game, whining about always looking scummy and such, when she was receiving NO pressure at the time. That being said, while the case against her looks substantial, she really could easily be just a lame skimmer, cause I know she generally doesn't think much of DM mafia. So I don't want to risk losing a townie today.

 

We'll see how Darthe 2.0 plays this out, so imo the only option that really makes any sense today is to vote Kaylee

You're right Des I'm very guilty of skimming in this game, in most games lately actually. Not to use my personal life as an excuse but I've been having anxiety attacks and other stuff that I just started some meds for to try to get under control, and my desire to do anything, including my actual job, has been very low the last month or so, so I've been skating through doing just the minimum everywhere including games. I know it makes me look scummy but I can't really gather the desire to care. I probably shouldn't have signed up for so many but I did so I'm sticking to it.

@JLM: I think my last couple if posts were a little harsh. I got extremely frustrated with this game recently- it's a cool theme, and a BG game which are always cool setups, yet no one has seemed to want to play that much. So I'm sorry if my tone was a little hurtful. You have been pretty skimmy but I didnt have to be that harsh.
