79- having to rethink a gift because what was in my head didn't materialize the way I wanted it to. This year, it was the adorable "you are his mama, he is your world" project I have been trying to work on for the last month that I only just got to tonight and it looks HORRIBLE! ugh.

80- What would be the perfect gift for you this year, if money was no object?

Sauce? Hot. Hot hot hot. Hotter than hot. The brilliant rays of a million supernovas hot. Aiel sun-bathing hot. It has to hurt. It has to burn. A good chili makes your sinuses run and a good curry lets you know when you've had enough.

Favorite subject. Hmm. I went into English because poetry was one of a few things I really excelled at in high school. I did fairly well in most of my other subjects but my sophomore Honors English class put a lot of things into perspective. In hindsight, I wish I had gone into trade school first and learned how to put food on the table before getting a Bachelors but, well, life is never clean-cut. I also loved JROTC. I learned a lot there about integrity and discipline that I definitely needed as a teenager and I sure as shit wasn't getting it anywhere else. Studying photography was a blast and I enjoyed my philosophy courses as well. So, I guess, my favorite subjects are pursuits that repay the amount of time that I put into them.

What do I dislike about the Christmas season, aside from the commercialization? Ah, crap. I dislike the endless tirade of holiday music. I hate looking at a Christmas tree and knowing I'm getting older. I hate knowing people will be alone. I dislike fruitcake. I hate living in the Great Semi-Arid Shrubland where there's only one major snowstorm a year. I dislike the traffic on December 26th. I dislike when people have to work holidays. I suppose that's not one thing, is it?

Perfect gift if money were no object? A fresh layer of topsoil, the will to garden, some goats, chickens and a pair of alpacas. If that's not possible, I'll settle for a pair of gauntlets.

81.) What was the strangest gift you've ever received? Or given?

Favorite Subject:  History.

Don't celebrate Christmas.

Perfect gift:  Travel.

Strangest Gift:  Stuff I don't like.  My husband used to be good at that.  Lol.

Next Question:  Would you rather experience this season in winter weather or summer weather, like down under?

A lot of my Christmas memories involve the weather, so defiantly this weather. I still love the summer weather, but not for Christmas. One of my favorite activities included hot chocolate, which would just not be as fun if it were hot.

82 - Do you have any strange physical quirks? (for example, my toes will feel like ice even while my foot is sweating from being way too hot in my slippers.)

Tremor in hands.

I love hot chocolate too!

Favorite scents?  I love the smell of carnations, the sea and the forrest... basically the unspoiled outdoors.

For the record, brother dearest, it gets cold in Georgia, too. It never stops me from hot chocolate (with peppermint... YUM!)!

My favorite scents (when I could smell them, because I lost most of my sense of smell about ten years ago): fresh cut grass, fresh baked bread, christmas tree sap (it's different with each type of pine, so the Norfolk Island Pine is my favorite), baby powder, apples (just about any way you can get them). I love the smell of walking in the woods, too, no matter the season!

84- What's the strangest thing you've ever eaten that actually tasted GOOD?

Eating dog is evil.   :darkone:

Shark.

New Year's:  nothing wild, meet friends at Scarlett's every year.  Talk, laugh, reminisce, play games, watch movies, eat.

What is your favorite way to relax?

I have dreams about relaxing in a hot tub with a book and a fruity drink with an umbrella at night, so I can read by candle light. I'm not sure how to do that without getting the book wet, though.

I'm not very good at relaxing.

87- What was your favorite toy when you were growing up?

Before I moved in with Dana, my old room mate would work nights. It was like having the place to myself, since I was gone when he was home and he was gone when I was home. We crossed paths on the weekends when we were both off, but that was about it.

One night, it snowed and made getting out of my driveway a nightmare, so I decided not to do it. I heated up some hot chocolate, made s'mores in the microwave, turned off all the lights and lit candles and oil lamps. Then I curled up on the end of the couch and read a book for HOURS under a comfy blanket. It was wonderful!

That's been a long time ago, though... *sighs*

89- What is your favorite thing about yourself? It can be physical or social/emotional.

Physical: my thick dark hair and my intelligence.  Emotional: love kids, people and animals.

Found some funny questions:

"Who watched a white, hard thing come out a chicken's butt and thought, "that ought to taste good"?

"Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out"?

LOL I've wondered about the egg thing, actually. As for milk, I'm thinking it was probably one of those "hey, the baby cows drink it, mom had some, too. Maybe I can drink the cow's...?"

92- what was the worst illness you've ever had? I'm talking fevers, body aches... Just misery.

Today. It's one of my goals for the year. Live for today.

Ok, and next Tuesday. And JordanCon in April.

94- what is the most annoying noise in the world?

A teenager badgering and whining.

Favorite chocolate?

Dark, Milk, White?

Milk! I'll eat dark, too, but I avoid white. Ick.

96- what movie makes you cry, but you watch it anyway?

Saving Private Ryan.  Shindler's List.

Your favorite age in life so far?

I honestly don't have an answer for that one. There have been wonderful years and really horrible years, though I'm not sure I really tied them to an age, per se. I loved turning 18 and buying my first lottery ticket and my first alcoholic drink at 21 (it was a Hurricane and it was HORRIBLE!). I have only recently slowed down enough to appreciate living right now and not looking forward to some year in the future. Does that make sense?

98- How many of your high school friends are you still friends with?

I loved 40.

I am still quite close with high school friends, some because Facebook makes it easy.  Others are friendships that can easily be picked up no matter how long we last connected.

How did you get your profile name?

I made it up. I've had a few usernames here and there, but I wanted something different. I've used wavlady because I used to collect wav files. I used versions of my name. I used to create account names for different things on my AOL account WAY back when AOL was cool. Depending on what I used the account for, the name fit it. I was very... ah... let's say GREEN back then (and I don't mean inexperienced, I mean super flirty bordering on downright naughty) and I created U4ea to be that account. Basically, I never logged into the U4ea account while my parents were around to see it. LOL Euphoria sounded like an apt name for that, so I geeked the name up a bit and U4ea was born.  (Now, watch how many people say "OMG! I never understood your name until now!" That's my favorite part of telling people how to pronounce my username. LOL  After that, I found myself staying logged in there more than anywhere else and *shrugs* the name kinda stuck. Now, this is me just about everywhere. :)

How about you?

And, without further ado... question number...

100- What resolution did you make this year that you think you'll probably break before the end of January?

I went to a fantasy name site and kept refreshing until I found something I liked.

I think I will return to work and get stressed.

Where did you go for your honeymoon or where would you like to go?

YAY OVERTIME QUESTIONS!

We went on a road trip. We drove up to Dayton, OH and went to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum (which I totally recommend if you're ever in the area. It's 100% free and you can get on a bus and go on base and walk through all of the retired Air Force One's. I stood where Lyndon Johnson took the oath of office! I put my hand on the plane that dropped the 2nd atomic bomb on Japan. Seriously awesome history there... did I mention it was FREE!?!). Afterwards, we drove down to Gatlinburg, TN and stayed there for a few days wandering through shops and touristy stuff. It was a lot of fun and we a room upgrade to a suite with a loft bedroom, a jacuzzi tub and a fireplace because I mentioned it was our honeymoon and we happened to be there in the middle of the week. Afterwards, we drove to Ashville, NC to see the Biltmore Estate and ate at another Melting Pot (my favorite restaurant chain--- FONDUE!!!) which was housed in the old train station across from the entrance to the Biltmore. PS, the best thing about the Biltmore was the Garden and the wine tasting. It's horribly overpriced (it cost us $45 a person to get in and that was almost 10 years ago!) and so not worth the $$.

And you're not allowed to get stressed! We will start evening meditations around here if we have to!!!!

102- What is your favorite flower?

That sounds so nice.  We went to a bed and breakfast in Napa Valley... had the top floor in December.  Bear claw tub and fire place in the room.  Spent a couple days there and then on to San Francisco.  Went to an awesome BBQ place and watched football along with the Wharf, China Town, Japanese Gardens and museum of natural history.

My favorite flower is the carnation.

Which are easier to raise?  Boys or girls?

That sounds very relaxing!

My favorite flower is a white calla lily. :)

I've only ever raised girls (and I'm still in the process of doing that, so I can't even really say it's been easy...) , so I don't know. I've always heard that boys are harder when they're younger and get easier as they get older and the opposite is true for girls. I think it depends on the kid... *shrugs*

104- If you could travel back in time and shake anyone's hand without changing the course of history, who would you visit?
