THIS IS NOTHING BUT A STREET-FIGHT.

 

WHOEVER GETS THERE FIRST WITH A VOTING MAJORITY WINS.

The spider moved methodically, as large spiders do, but also silently. The warm bodies sleeping in its path were merely obstacles in its path. It crawled through their hair, across open mouths, and over shoulders.

 

Some bodies were warmer than others, more anxious than those that slept soundly beside them. The heat was from the anxiety, and the anxiety began in fevered minds; minds that knew penalties existed for not reaching a majority vote, or in these cases, not even bothering to vote.

 

The spider did not understand these things, it was only attracted to the heat. And as it came across each of these bodies, it sank its fangs deeply into each, releasing its venom.

 

The venom of the Tarantula is not the strongest in the jungle. It will only kill a small percentage of people that it bites.

 

But it will cause excruciating pain, and elevated states of anxiety as the victim waits to see if they will live or die...

His body spasmed, twitching at first, then jerking violently as the poison reached his heart. He gurgled as his eyes bulged and he clawed at his throat...but no one was there to help him.

 

His anxieties proved to be very, very real.

 

LENLO IS DEAD

She moved through the night with a quickness and a purpose, sure of every step and committed to her mistresses cause. When she found the man she had been searching for, her action was smooth.

 

The muzzle of the revolver found the sweet spot of his temple; the hollow pop hardly noticeable in the night.

 

TURIN, TOWN JAVIER and VOYEUR, IS DEAD

The man thumbed the plunger off the hypo, sending a tiny spurt of poison into the air. He then covered his victim's mouth with a gloved hand and plunged the needle into her neck. The poison flowed smoothly into her veins, but it would not kill her right away. It would, however, kill her.

 

Her neck burned, and being woken so abruptly, Christine Kate was not able to see the man as he pulled his hand away and darted from her room...

 

 

The night was broken by horrible screams, sounding for all the world as if someone was being tortured. The town stirred awake...

 

 

 

The spider drew its fangs form the flesh of its last victim. The pale glow of daylight filtered through the forest. it was time to find a lair for the day.

Hmmm... so Lenlo was a random lynch without a coroner report cause they didn't secure a lynch, plus 5 others got bitten and might die... prob the peeps that didn't vote at all I bet... and Kate apparently got poisoned. Well at least my thoughts on her seemed to be spot on.

 

I'm still not sure about Peace now tho. Kate getting poisoned could have easily been an attempt at framing him, but I dunno... the person that was standing out the most to me after Lily ended up flipping town is Player. He still seemed to be egging others on yesterday, and his post apologizing to Lily after she flipped seemed pretty scummy to me

But what Ape is saying only works if every lynch is pretty much random. With actual scumhunting, the lynch won't be random. It will be looking for those that are probably more scummy looking

 

Wrong. I scumhunt harder on D1 than anyone, but all I'm trying to do in that effort is make a better guess. It is still a guess, one that we've told ourselves is an informed one, but a guess just the same... and I still have a 25% chance of being right. Period.

 

I agree that it is a guess, but a good guess has a better chance than a bad one. For instance, lynching an inactive is one of the poorest ways to scumhunt usually, as it basically is an odds game and that's it. In a lot of other situations tho, you'll have situations where a wifom has built up to where basically there's a 50/50 shot that someone is telling the truth or lying, and in those situations you basically have a 50% chance of catching scum.
