Anyone from VIII could be cast in the anti-Ultimecia role, Zell is just as likely as anyone. And Ninja could have been a deadly anti-scum tool, this is why throwing reveals around willy nilly at the beginning of a Day phase is stupid, Darthe didn't even have the option to reveal as they were all used for no good reason other than the Aeris claim. Tiink, I'm looking at you.

 

Darthe did reveal. Weirdly. He said he was an Ultimecia counter, which is why I asked how Ninja would work in this game as Town. Could a Ninja role act as Ultimecia counter?

He didn't reveal character or role, because he couldn't. Hell, all he had to say was "I'm Zell" and he'd have been safe.

 

Well I thought he'd already revealed. Role at least. It counted as one of our three reveals on the Day he did it, I think. :/ I would have been more willing to believe 'Ninja' instead of another counter role as he explained it.

Yeah, he never really came out with a true character reveal, but his semi role reveal (which at this point seems like a false claim) was counted against our 3 reveal limit day 1 I believe

Taking notes as I'm reading along...

 

Red, I have to agree, it feels like you're barking up the wrong tree. Even questioning Ithi seems like you've got your thoughts a little twisted. She bagged us two scum, no matter how we may say she lied about how she did it. We can be pretty sure that she's town. Placing doubt on that is scummy. And dropping silvertongue hints on Mynd and enciting mass paranoia? Not cool.

 

As for Razen, his reveal was scummy. If only to live another day as mafia, anyone would claim a power role when there is no one else to counter claim for the day. Of course. I think Razen has been playing rather scummily and we backed ourselves into a corner with two other players who were high up on lists (Tink and Andrew) revealing earlier in the day when they were under very little pressure. Once again, FOS Tink and Drew.

 

Lenny has shot up my list a little, begging for a hammer. 20 hours at the time? That is plenty of time for someone who hadn't voted yet to drop a hammer so that we didn't go random. Way to push the lynch along. I agree with Peace on that. I don't get why Red was siding with Len though, and turning it around on Peacy.

 

@Andrew: That's because I spammed a little and picked up my activity. I still don't see much from you that makes sense. Also, I'm only posting early morning, late night, I can't during the day though I try to keep up via phone (which I have to read again later to add to my googledoc notes).

 

@Ishy, I would have expected main characters to be played against main baddies: Cloud/Sephy, Squall/Ultimecia, etc. I was a tad iffy on Darthe because of other hints at Squall but that went out the window I guess.

for all i know Mynd is a Silver Tongue. my lack of a vote on him is less Ithi's finding and more for how EP and Maw acted concerning him D1 and the fact Ithi said her viewing was skewed N1 on him.

 

 

and as i said previously Ithi's exchange with EP D1 had the feel of a gambit and as did how she's been playing her role. she misled on EP making it appear that she KNEW he was scum and that she was able to day find with her LD (and yes there are variations which allow this) and her actions earlier D3 concerning Mynd with voting him. shes bottom of my list right now, but in Mafia i dont' consider anyone confirmed or not suspect them until their dead.

 

Mynd is an arrogant bastard with a mafia god complex who completely twists my corset. He is also town. Red is also scum.

Not sure how new you are to mafia Andrew, but let me set you straight on why this post pings hardcore:

 

1. It could be read as a faint attempt to direct the Doc

2. It DEF reads as scum trying to look like a poor helpless townie

3. What's with the wink there? You got something in your eye, or are you just trying to look coy there?

 

Also, I'm def starting to believe more and more that Red is scum. It would explain why she had a sudden absence in the game: she was prob pissed at her teammates for being outed so easily from the get go, so got frustrated and high-tailed it outta there.Then she remembered she was Red, and figured she could somehow kill all the townies by herself, so she comes back and starts trying to slide in all smooth-like nothing ever happened

I'd be willing to try for a Red lynch. At this point, I think I'll just abandon /everything/ I've thought before and start fresh. I'll have to do some rereading first, since I hate feeling like I'm just jumping on a lynch without thinking about it myself, but yeah. Anyway. Found something to occupy all this open time my newly twisted/backward sleep cycle has given me instead of thread-spamming, so Imma head back there.
