I don't believe Rand is a "cop". Said like that because that's the best word we have for his ability so far. But I'm also weary to vote him because Yuna was, I think, a rather large character. I would expect her to be in the game so fake claiming her would not be a good idea.

There are two parts to my role. One part I do not want to reveal because it will lose its function if I do, but I can search for Sin and will be told if I have found it or not.

 

@ Tink - He said that he'd lose the ability if he revealed what it was.

 

But it strikes me as weird that so many people have claimed roles like this - character counters. Going off of Ithi's statement from before about Rand being a cop, I'm starting to think that there is no ONE cop role, but all of these character counters, with the ability to search for the villain that they counter. Which would mean that they are the closest thing we have to having a cop.

 

He didn't say he would lose the role he said it would become useless.

Peace, Darthe AND Rand stink to me. All three are claiming or have claimed similar roles which I really find unlikely. I said yesterday (or VERY early this morning) that I thought just TWO town able to hunt mafia and ensure mutual destruction was weird. The fact that /apparently/ Rand can't reveal the second half of his role sounds more like he's trying to backpedal or something after realizing his mistake in claiming a third 'not quite cop' role.

 

Add that to the votes coming off Peace and I guess I'm switching votes. *grumpyface* Doesn't mean my vote won't be right back on Peace or Darthe the next Day though. I'm stubborn like that.

The Rand lynch stinks to holy hell, and I'd look to those on his train to find scum. He obviously isn't well versed on the source material, so using the "sinful-sin" terminology to justify a vote is complete crap. More and more, I think we found scum with Maw and Pete hasn't shown me anything to change my mind. He is (self admittedly) well versed with FFX and knows very well exactly what Rand meant. Pete's spinning of Rand's words is scumtastic. When I get to my PC in a few minutes, he's getting my vote.

I said yuna's game appearance and function, then preceded to point out Sin

 

Then debated that Yuna wouldn't be a finder. She would be a healer

 

Rand then switched saying he can find Sin and he had a secret role he cant say because he would lose it

 

Ithi pointed out Rabd was voting someone with w similar role as himself

 

That looked like him trying to make himself invaluable

 

Then he said he could reveal it would just lose its surprise

I know that I saw that explanation coming. I'm sure others must have, including Mafia, if you were really town. It's the same as Peace and Darthe's isn't it? Why the hesitation in revealing it then?

This however stinks more so then Rand's reveal. Saying he thinks Yuna is to big of a character to fake then voting anyway. Looks like mafia tryin to escape blame of Rand is town

Just FYI. Mawthex also asked to be taken out of the GoT Mafia game that is due to start soon. I think he did the right thing to leave the game if he was not feeling the love of the game anymore.

 

I think we have all experienced the need to get out of dodge for a while and surely he just recognised that instead of having some kind of emo meltdown of the kind that results in crappy emails and suchlike being sent.
