A day is plenty of time. I've saw lynches happen in two hours. Lulz.

Just because we are given a deadline however doesn't mean we need to get every second out of it. That causes lazy pile on votes and just voting for consolidation and to avoid random votes. Both are harder to analyze then a lynch without the deadline excuse.

While I agree that a lot of scum tend to wait until near deadline before leaping onto a bandwagon so they can use the "I just didn't want it to go random" excuse, the inherent problem with Jack's statement is that it assumes we won't get any info by taking our time and casing every player. Since a lot of scum-hunting relies more on generating reactions from scum that give themselves away, we need to make the most of the time that we are given to thoroughly press each other until we have a clear understanding of who is who.

We have plenty of info we can glean from EP's lynch. Yes, we can dwell on who openly defended him, or we can focus on those who quietly stalled his lynch by not voting him or pushing the focus elsewhere. One is not scummy for questioning others. One is scummy for NOT questioning.

OK, no reveal, I should be active enough to not get caught by fast scummy train.

Or you can just reveal now so we have time to debate your claim before deadline.

Jack, I would love to get a claim from you in the new character. You don't have to but knowing who maw/you are could help away me off my vote for now. Not that the train is going anywhere today anyhow.

I don't suppose anyone plans to put up a few quotes?

FOS for wanting random claim? Or is that too obvious to be a scum move..

Hmm...before Darthe had claimed that he had solid information that Ultimecia was in the game. And pressuring Jack for a reveal from out of the blue. Apart from the blatant character fishing, is it possible that he invented his role and is in fact Ultimecia, using Peace's claim as a guide? It makes sense to me, especially if Peace is telling the truth about his role. And then seeing who bites on that fact that he claims to know that Ultimecia is in the game? He denied knowing who Ultimecia was. And if he was supposed to be checking players to figure out whether they were indeed Ultimecia or not, then you'd think that he would share that given that his role was outed.

Rand did admit to having a role, so since he blatantly stated it in the game thread, there's no point in hiding it, IMO.

I agree we should take our time, casing players is how the majority of scum is caught, but we shouldn't become complacent with it either.

I did state it. Now you are the one fishing from me and Rand.

OK, so do you guys want me to reveal, or not reveal.

Why do I get the feeling that Rand is scrambling to find a believable claim here? How many FF Wiki pages does he have open on his pooter right now?

OK, Mynd, now at L-3 I am definitely revealing. I am Yuna the summoner, I search for sin and every night I get an answer to whether or not someone is sinful or not.

Posted

Yeah I could buy if you where searching for Sin, but swing if someone is sinful? I think Rand, that you've slipped up

I think he is the cop Tiink. Love your outrage though.

I think he was attempting to claim a peace-like role but messed up

that's what I am doing, I search for sin and then she tells me if I have found sin or not, I just said he's not sinful instead of saying he has no sin.

In FFX, Sin was created by an ancient summoner in order to protect a dream city and to destroy the big machina cities to avenge the summoners. It didn't have anything to do with people being sinful. That makes absolutely NO sense. Not to mention that since Sin is Jecht and I would guess that Tidus would search for him over Yuna.

How on earth did you get that he was the cop?

You are being ridiculous. Kae has probably just made the name of the role fit in with the cannon of the game.

FFX being one of the few games I am familiar with, Sin was the main antagonist. It was very destructive destroying whole towns. Yuna was a summoner who like all other summoners, it was her job to sacrifice herself to destroy sin and become the new Sin. Yet she defeated it permenantly.

I could see a peace like character. Not really a finder. Maybe even a healer but not a finder. Since Yuna started as white Mage on the character tree.
