Regarding the truck tipping, I read a theory on reddit about that. The poster said that they thought Walt did that intentionally to send a message. I think that kind of makes sense considering he was well aware of how much power he was using and also that he didn't care about the bump and told Jesse to just drive right over it.

Oh also check out this twitter message Aaron Paul put out after the premier: http://twitter.com/aaronpaul_8/status/224738033629544450

lol

For the most part I really liked the season opener. The first scene was very well crafted. We can guess that Walt does not stay the king for very long, he seemed defeated and bitter from his interactions with his waitress. We know that it will be less then a year of him being in power, he is still 50 in the show's timeline. He was coughing in the bathroom and popping pills, so it definitely looks like the cancer is back. He was not wearing his wedding band. So I would be willing to bet that him and Skylar are no longer together, I think Skylar is still alive, if she had been killed in some way I think Walt would keep the ring on. So I am guessing that Skylar will go to the feds looking to roll over on Walt. When Walter left the diner he tipped his waitress a hundred, so Walt definitely has a lot of money still, or at least enough. When he tipped her that much a thought occurred to me, Walt wants someone to think well of him after he is gone, no one else in the world thinks well of Walt anymore, so giving big tips may be his way of having people think well of him (Im probably wrong but the thought occurred to me.) So after this thought a theory began to form slowly through out the episode. When Skylar and Walt Jr. come home, Walt Jr. goes right into another one of his uncle Hank is so cool spiels. Since this is such a pet peeve of Walt's I started think of how horrible it would be if Walt Jr not only finds out about his father but actually respects and is ok with what he is doing and then for some reason ends up being killed. What better way for Walter to finally be snapped back into reality and forget his hubris then to lose his son just as he becomes sure that he has his respect, this could also send Skylar to the feds looking to give up Walt. (Like all theories I come up with you all can be sure now that this wont happen) He also bought an M-60, so I guess he is about to go Knock.

One of the best things about this show is that I can find this much to talk about and theorize about, from just one scene.

Best line of the night "I can foresee a lot of possible outcomes to this thing, and not a single one of them involves Miller Time." I am so glad Mike is back

Maybe we should just call this thread a spoiler thread so we don't have to keep putting tags.

But for now...

I think that our duo is now a trio with Mike. I think that's cool. The 3 of them getting into trouble.

yeah

mike definitely adds a new element to things and I really like it

jesse always kind of follows walts lead but now there is someone even older and way more experienced with this game who is able to put walt in check and not lead jesse by the nose

granted that in last season jesse started to go his own way

My father had a good idea about the computer, and coming from a guy who can not turn a computer on, it may be significant. His thought was "why would gus save all of that data from the multiple different cameras he had, which include 18 Pollos Hermanos chains, the super lab, the chicken farm, and his own home, on a computer easily traced to him, and would a laptop be able to save all of that data, I imagine it would be alot." My thought was "yeah it would make sense if all the cameras were a live feed with no back up". Wouldn't it just be Walt's luck that not only was there no incriminating evidence of the laptop, but in destroying it he unwittingly gave the DEA an actual lead to himself, and Madrigal.

As for the account numbers, I think they will be a direct link to Madrigal in Germany, and this is what will bring in the Lydia character.

You know...I was wondering myself if they had the wrong laptop

Mike I think said it was "in the back" and that makes me think it may have been a hidden laptop whereas the one that got put into evidence was just a normal work laptop

Seems a little far fetched though so maybe not

and would a laptop be able to save all of that data, I imagine it would be alot."

These days, yeah

All you would really have to do is dump the info on external hard drives once in awhile

Although having a live feed with no recording sounds a LOT more likely now that I think about it

Gus was anything but stupid and keeping evidence around is stupid

My question is this. The last episode I saw, Gus didn't go into the car bombed car.. Was spooked by something. I assumed that was the season finale. After we hear about hte explosion in this new episode, Hank is still on the same roof where his car-bomb never went off? So, what am I missing here? Did he actually bomb something else? did we ever see this explosion that kills gus? Or did I somehow miss an episode?

You missed an episode.

Finally saw that episode.

I knew I had to be missing something. lol

Did hank really try to kill that kid? Or was it some kind of accident that worked in his favor?

It seems like he intentionally poisoned him. Whether he meant for it to kill him or not is unclear. He definitely intended for him to be hospitalized.

Agreed. Walt has started to go off the deep end and is becoming more and more willing to do whatever it takes to survive.

So Walt's starting to make my skin crawl, that last scene with him and Skylar was so creepy it made last weeks ending seem like a loving family moment. All and all I thought it was a decent episode. I enjoyed the focus being on Mike throughout most of the episode, the man is just a total BAMF. Although I think he broke his rule, and took a Half Measure when he let Lydia live. As for her character I am still not sure if I like her or not, the scene in the restaurant with Mike was a bit much. I dont know if the writers are trying to show us that she is a clueless as Walt used to when it comes to illegal meetings and drug deals, or if she is a Gus in training. She definitely does not mind getting people killed.

I wonder what kind of foreshadowing it was or if it was a red herring. But the movie Mike was watching was Caine's Mutiny. It was the scene where Maryk takes over command of the ship from Col. Queeg, a mutiny in the middle of a typhoon.
