Well, you ninjaed me with this post, EP, so I have to answer it separately. A good deal of your case against me has been that I've used the same argument against you that has been used against me. Considering I've made this point a couple of times already before you did just now, your whole Basel case just became one big hypocrisy.

"He lies so he must be scum!" is a great way to say "Let's lynch him and if he flips town, its his fault" without attempting to understand why.

 

Like plenty of people have said, it's a very good reason. Most seem to think you (Mynd) should be allowed to lie. I don't agree.

 

I don't like the bus driver power being in the game in light of the other powers showing, but if we can use it wisely, we may be able to put it to good use.

Lil, I don't see how you could think this was the least bit scummy. Are you telling me that you don't find it odd that a bus driver would announce to everyone who he was using his power on? Mynd made it know that he was switching himself and Pandy, so that the whole thread knew that if they wanted to target Mynd with anything, all they had to do was target Pandy. This kind of makes his power totally pointless, since a bus driver's power doesn't strike me as the sort of thing that is all that effective if it isn't used in secret. It seemed like the only reasonable explanation was that Mynd was laying down some kind of WIFOM, and possibly lying about who he really did use his power on, so that anyone wanting to target Mynd would aim for Pandy, and actually get someone else while thinking the results come from Mynd. If you think this is the mark of scum, then you so completely lost me that I need a map.

 

He was creating a WIFOM, Basel, but it's odd that you assume that is bad for the town. If he is town, then he is creating a WIFOM for scum. It's a good tactic.

 

All this business about Mynd lying automatically making him scum is ridiculous. I don't like that take. And it's not that Mynd is allowed to lie and no one else is - townies lie sometimes, and automatically lynching anyone who lies is dumb. It's also ridiculous that he should have advocated his own lynch to get rid of the bus driver role. What player would have done that, townie or mafia?

 

I'n not saying I trust Mynd or even that I'm thinking he's town, but I think we have better candidates right now.

Basel quoted the "team" comment in the same post that he voted you. He didn't say what Christine said, but he did point the comment out by quoting it and saying it looked like you trying to seem town. I have to agree with Basel on that point. That being said, Basel saying that Christine sheeped his case seems kind of odd to me since she took the same comment and brought up a different aspect of it. Basel ignoring that nuance could be him trying to take credit for Christine's case or just sloppy town play.

The thing with the Mynd lynch is that it is not about the fact he lied. It is the fact he is Mynd and he lied.

 

EP stings me as scummy. Can't help that he pings me.

 

As for the Basel lynch, I could go with that. Gonna have to go back over all the evidence first, however, and I am out running errands. So, gonna have to wait a bit.

Womby, I don't feel that Chrissy was sheeping anything. I think that it's more likely that she independently noticed the same thing in EP's posting that I did. I am leaning toward Chrissy being town. My mention of her sheeping me was part of examining things from the point of view of EP's logic, because I found it extremely odd that he could claim I am scum and not think that she is scum for sheeping me. I think that any argument which takes into account the mention of EP's comment not knowing who is on his team (which EP noted her mentioning but failed to account for me using it first) and which paints me as scum must therefore have Chrissy as scum. I could believe he is town just barking up the wrong tree if he had scum-Basel and scum-Christine, or town-Basel and town-Christine, or even town-Basel and scum-Christine. But given the circumstances, his case for scum-Basel and town-Christine is out of left field and gives me a ping.

 

In short, my issue is not with Chrissy pointing out the same thing that I already did. It's with EP overlooking that I had already pointed it out, and I wonder if he overlooked it on purpose.
