Above, in blue you say that "Christine has mentioned she doesn't have any or know who they are" re: team mates. Which to me is wishy-washy bullshit.

She either does have team mates, or doesn't.

She either does know who they are, or doesn't.

I noticed this earlier, but didn't think anything of it at the time. You are right when you say that she can't have both. She contradicts herself by using that "or". It may seem like "duh", but the fact that she is caught out here makes me wonder how much of the truth she is telling. A good lie is often the one that has the most truth in it to make it seem believable. If she is lying about her faction, what else is she lying about?

I have team mates. I have no idea who they are. I have to have teammates because I am still a member of a faction, and I am not a faction leader. Therefore, I have teammates. I have no idea who they are and have no way to contact them. I am clarifying this once and for all.

That seems highly weird to have someone who can't die. I know there is a role called a tree stump, and they don't die, but they do lose their voting power... a role that can't be killed at all seems ridiculous.

I wonder...her vote obviously counts, because she was part of the train that lynched Tina D1. Unless losing the stump's voting power comes after they are lynched or something? But what would she gain (or lose) from not being able to be killed is the question.

They lose their voting power after killed.

That makes sense. So basically, she's a not dead ghost. She's still "alive", but cannot impact the game.

I was starting to not feel well yesterday but now I have a burning fever and I feel like crap. Since my husband is gone for the month, that means little ole sick me taking care of myself. I am going to play Doctor and say I need to get more sleep. So, gone for the next few hours, unless my coughing keeps me up.

I cannot be lynched either. I had to clarify that with the mod. I cannot die by any form.

Ugh. This is the kind of far-fetched nonsense I've come to expect from DPR.

So, like I said, this whole lynch train on me? Pointless and a waste of our day phase.

Basic mafia rule: No train is ever pointless. I don't like this mock outrage.

Interesting. So Christine says that she cannot be killed at all. What she is saying is starting to make more sense to me. I'm not so sure that I want to find out what the other part of her role is anymore with the way that she keeps hinting at a punishment for all of us. The fact that she hasn't backed down from her position tells me that she's either too invested in the bluff to stop it now or that she is really telling the truth.

The one question that I have is that if she is telling the truth and cannot be killed, how does she win the game? That seems a little too convienient, unless there is a group of people that she is trying to find or something of that sort. This is pure supposition, but if those people that she is supposed to find are killed, she loses. That's the only way that I would be able to see her having a role where she couldn't be killed.

In light of that, I'm not willing to waste my vote on a potentially idiotic attempt to kill her (IF she is telling the truth). Given the scenario I described above, I believe that a Christine lynch is no longer in our best interest. Unvote.

I don't know if I'm thinking logically about this or not. But the idea does make sense to me, even if it isn't presented in the most logical way.

I see it two ways, one we vet her and go on about our business - or two, we catch her in a lie and go on about our business.

It's only idiotic to let her ride this claim to endgame, imo. We don't have to vet her now, but eventually we will have to.

So, like I said, this whole lynch train on me? Pointless and a waste of our day phase.

it's not pointless

it proves if you're lying or not

Uh oh... Ape + Nolder agree OBVIOUS TEAAMATES GOTCHA!!!

I agree.

At this point, we are looking at a scenario where if Christine is cult or faction recruiter, or SK... we are going to keep her around for the next couple phases until people grow a sack and decide to test her claim.

I'm tempted to put christine's claim to the test.

However, John's reaction to my and paperclips vote makes my vote stick to him. It's only a game.

I'm voting Christine because the only people that I've ever seen pull the old "give me one more day" routine to squeeze out another night action, have recruiting/converting ability... or NK ability. She also doesn't seem to care who we lynch instead of her, which gives me the impression she doesn't have many, or any, team mates.

I dunno. I feel like I'm looking at this logically - you want to vote me for that, go ahead. That said, if she flips cult - you die next.

For someone whose playing this game logically you've been ignoring a big part of discussion. CHRISTINE has mentioned she doesn't have any or know who they are. I'll Logically keep my vote where it is..

You'll forgive me if I don't necessarily believe every word being said by the person I'm voting. I thought it was a given that since I'm voting her, it was an indicator that I don't buy what she's selling.

My apologies for relying on you to connect the dots with a little common sense.

connect the dotes...HA your post sounds a little contradictory there john.. Those two sentences mean the same thing....how do you not believe what shes saying but you still agree with her??

I'm responding to this again, even though I did earlier. I've got some caffeine in me... maybe I can make my point a little more clearly.

I'm not sure how you aren't getting this to be honest.

You are accusing me (in blue of my quote) of latching onto something she said, and "not paying attention" because I made the statement that when someone begs for one more day its because they can either kill or convert, and when she suggested we don't lynch her, she offered NOBODY else as a viable alternative, which I've interpreted as her having nobody to protect. So contrary to your accusations, I saw what she said, and then made a determination of my own about it. Rather than taking her at her word, since after all this is mafia...

You seem content to stall her train, and accept "doesn't have any team mates or know who they are".

I'm not.

WHERE DID I EVER SAY THAT I DONT HAVE ANY?!

I said you are playing like you don't have any. My statement was informed by my read of your play, not the statements you are making. I don't care what you are saying.

Ameka said "CHRISTINE has mentioned she doesn't have any or know who they are.

There's like three of you that are all claiming Christine's reveal thing over there stinks. What reveal? Everything she's saying at least seems ernest to me. Last couple votes on her train seem opportunistic though.

This game is weird, never played a Faction type before so I'm just like, skating along right now, but I can sorta get the jist.

It's too bad, I genuinely thought Red was the only one making sense as far as set up. Anyway, I was gonna vote Sakaea fwiw.

Interesting that you pick me of the three, considering I was the only one who put reveal in quotation marks - saying it's a sort of reveal, and that I was already suspicious of her on D1. I thought her statement about her faction was poorly timed aka opportunistic itself.

I win when all threats to my house have been destroyed. Given that I am not a Faction Leader, if all of my Faction Leaders die, then I become an unaligned survivor.

More than one Faction Leader? That is an statement worth pondering over, and one that pushes me toward thinking you actually ARE the Spider. Playing all sides and can't die because no one can "find" you.

I think we should still vote you to "prove" your claim. Vote stays.

Paper's vote was blatant bandwagon, so I called it such. I had no reaction to you... and don't think for a second that my defensiveness is a tell. I'm like this no matter my role/alignment. Tenacious is an understatement. lol

Most factions have a Faction Leader. Some factions have backup Faction Leaders. Factions that started with Faction leaders must have a faction leader alive in order to win. Should any faction (besides the Cult) no longer have any living faction leaders, the remaining living members of that faction will become unaligned survivors

That being said, Key brings up a pretty Key point. Faction leaders? Not familiar with this but from the 321 seconds of Wiki reading I did faction member should have ONE faction leader. No idea about this Spider stuff except from what people said.

while I approve of your choice I feel as though I need to step in for Christine here

if she in fact does not actually know anyone in her faction it's possible she's just assuming her faction has a backup leader based on the fact that a backup faction leader was killed already

interesting theory though

not something to dismiss I think in a game like this

Thanks, Nolder. Sucks because I was hoping to come home and get a ton of work done (off DM and on, I am super behind on some staff work here), but I just feel like crud. Having no one else to take care of me means I am having to set a timer to remind myself that I should force myself to eat, and all that jazz. So, yeah.

Given my house, I am guessing that there is backup Faction Leaders.

Houses likely to have Backup Leaders

so we have Arryn, Baratheon, Greyjoy, Lannister, Martell, Stark, Targaryen, Tully, and Tyrell

I think we can dismiss Stark since their back up was already killed

Baratheon would only really consist of Renly and Stannis so I would dismiss them as well

House Arryn consists of Lysa and her young son Robert, doubt they are even a faction

and the Targaryen's consist of 2-4 people depending on how you want to slice and dice it (Aemon likely counts as Nights Watch if he's in the game) so I'd probably put them in the same category as the Arryn's and Baratheon's UNLESS they are the cult and are recruiting to their cause to retake the 7 kingdoms

Tully is only 2-3 people if you don't count Lysa and Cat which it looks like we wont so take them out as well

so dismissing those houses that leaves us with Greyjoy, Lannister, and Martell

going off what I know about each of those houses someone who cannot be killed doesn't really fit unless you kind of stretch things and take events from the books like "a narrow escape" and chalk that up to the flavor justification for being unkillable

I think it's far more likely she's lying about something than that she's an unkillable Reek or an old sickly Doran Martell

the important part is to stay hydrated and keep cool if you feel like you're burning up

stay safe and don't overexert yourself

I think we can all agree that your health is more important than a mafia game or DM staff work

In the past, I've false-claimed and used the line "let me check with the mod" to make it seem more sincere. Just sayin'

How exactly is Christine going to prove herself if we don't run her up today? What is your plan? You want to give her the extra day(s), but there isn't actually a plan in place to vet her in any way. What you are suggesting is "let her live" and what you are selling it as is "let her prove herself".

As for me, I'm not reacting to people "not on Christine's train" as you say - so you are doing some spinning here. I'm reacting to Ameka for being either dense or divisive, and I pointed out Paperblade's bandwagon vote. Mostly I've just been hashing through Ameka's spin, and talking out what to do with Christine's train. There is benefit to pushing on a train still after the claim, rather than accepting it and tucking tail. As you can now see, people are taking a harder stance on stalling her train, while others are showing willingness to vet her claim by running her up. This is where "information" is derived from. I'm pushing it still because at some point, we'll learn the truth about Christine and then we'll have context for looking back at these discussions. This is how I play.

I just posted that I'm willing to vote Ameka and Paper. So I'm not sure where you are coming up with me being about "Christine and only Christine".

Also this line cracks me up, "At this point, I'm open to lynching her IF everyone can agree that is what we should do." Are you serious with this? Pfft.... unreal.
