It would have been a theory if the numbers would have matched up. It's just those few words from the viewing that keep sticking in my head. It wouldn't have been said if it wasn't significant. She says matter of fact sounding that she will have babes and THEN adds that there is something strange about it. You follow? She didn't say it's weird that she is having x amount of babies. I think it's significant. The 'somethig strange'. Which gets me thinking about how COULD a birthing seem strange in Randland? I don't think it'll be something new that we haven't seen but something we have already seen happen that will apply to the situation.

Mils, I THINK the strangeness was covered in the latest book, but as someone mentioned that is only a possible future so it could be something else entirely. I certainly hope it's something else, because if that scenario plays out it's taking godmoding way too far.

The thing that makes Avi's "possible" future seem possible are the two theories of cyclical time and that the WoT world is our world in another age. Therefore there must be some point in which channeling stops in order to get back here.

OH man! Don't even get me started on the whole wheel thing. lol I am tellin you, the end is goin to be the wheel breaking, the horn being destroyed and the cycle ending. I do not know what is going to happen to Creater/DO, Rand/Dark Rand, Saidar and Saidan but that is how it's going to go down. The 'constant' of the series/prophecy needs to end to make sure that the cycle doesn't repeat again and that's what we'll see. If it turns out to be the end of magic in Randland I will be very upset but I have a feeling that's the way it's going to go down. Why it was so important for Mat and his dragons. So he can have an even footing against better trained armies that will be up against him. Those armies have damn good resources to go up against even withOUT channeling. (Never realized how hard it is to be vague). I am callin it here.

Btw, I believe the DO wants to break the wheel, so wouldn't the Creator want to keep it whole?

I think Despo has covered this exact topic in his front page blog recently. He gives a pretty good explanation about there is something different.

Exactly LG, but why? Why would the DO want to break the wheel? To end the continuing cycle is why. He knows that the wheel will always spin out a dragon again and again and again. Without the wheel, DO can knix the Dragon forever, without him being reborn, and rule forever. He just has to find a way to get rid of the Dragon which is why I am hopeful the magic will remain. Doubtful but hoping. I think the Horn has to be at the last battle because it needs to be destroyed just like the wheel. There cannot be any links to the past, to the wheel, to the never ending enslavement of "heroes". I think it will be a kind of blueprint to ending things or at least a type of explanation. I wonder what would happen if Avi held the horn with her special talent. If she might be able to help with the mystery. A though JUST popped into my head as I was writing this. I think I have found the tragedy. Maybe there isn't going to be a lot of death for our main heroes, Rand, Mat, Perrin etc.... but the loss of all the heroes. If so, though I doubt it because of the conditions surrounding her, I wonder how Elayne's Warder will be affected. She may not be directly but what about her love?

 

Yes, I am sticking with my prediction for the end, wheel broken, legendary heros lost along with the horn.

 

 

You're right Ith, he did cover this but I do not recall him mentioning the Aiel adoption ceremony as a possibility for the 'something odd'. I strongly don't think it has anything to do with Avi's second trip through the glass towers.

I'm slightly confused. My theory is that, as the DO wants to break the Wheel, the Creator will want the opposite, which is to keep the Wheel moving. Therefore, if the Wheel is broken, the Dark One wins. As long as the Wheel remains in place and working, the Creator is winning.

Yes I am. I am saying the wheel is what is wrong. Hmmmm, how to say this, because I find it hard to "vocalize". I believe the wheel is what needs to be broken regardless of if it's the creator's or not. The cycle, the constant spinning cycle, will never allow for there to be an actual peace. Events will continuously make need for a Dragon. the prophecy that says something like

 

 

"clear away the rubble to build anew" the one where Rand seems to believe it means to break all the seals. I do not think it has anything to do with the seals but to clear away the wheel so men can live free without continuously repeating history and the same battle

 

For there to be a true and solid ending, the wheel needs to be broken. I also never believed the DO to be the devil by the way. He is just the first mortal to tap the darkness and then be trapped in it. It always seemed crazy to me that the Devil would be tangible but the Creator not.

So basically no-one will ever be reborn again, the wolves will not exist in the Dreamworld, etc?

I do not believe the dream world is tied to the wheel. Just the heroes tied to the dream world. Dream World is going to exist no matter what. that's what ties all the possible realities together. Though the wolves' rebirthing DOES throw a kink into my idea. hmmmmmm Could be Wolves are just tied to the Dreamworld. I think I have an idea. Back in the day in the Age of Legends, Aes Sedai studied Wolfbrothers. They studied a thing older than Aes Sedai. The wolves are tied to the dream and not to the wheel. I am on the fence with my idea now but still leaning towards my thought of the wheel breaking. Maybe I am just a darkfriend at heart hehehe
