Why do so many senior Aes Sedai suddenly have in their signatures or descriptions "Novice"? For example Mother Elgee, and Tynaal Sedai, but there are others I've noticed...

They are having a break from being in charge Athena and so have chosen to be Novices again for a while. Aspies get to have all the fun and none of the responsibility, so for the staff members to do this, it is like having a nice holiday. Does that make sense?

I also don't know where to ask this, but what's with giving Ed a capital T? If he is in charge of the WT for now, why isn't he acting Amyrlin? Best as I can tell, "Tamyrlin" refers to the ring the Amyrlin Seat wears, but Amyrlin is the name of the position. Are we implying that Ed is nothing more than a piece of jewelry? Or does the name of the position change when it is held by an acting person?
