I hardly believe it's possible for cultist or mafia to turn town: it would kind of screw up the whole game for they know who the rest mafia and cult are. So saying something along those lines usually makes my scumradar ping hard :)

and about the resurrecting: BG could also be a good candidate if he is what he claims: we need to be able to banish those ghosts so they can't be resurrected and so that we get the information (when they are banished, we seem to get a coroner report).

Well, seeing as you posted the "above" post AFTER I'd posted...you don't really need to answer the same accusation twice, just because 2 different people made it.

Regarding Amega, I heartily agree with you, as it happens. Having someone who's scum, especially the Cult Leader, be able to be turned Town would just mess stuff up. It would hand the game to the town, and be really unfair to the Cult. I mean, that would be really nice from a competitive Town standpoint, because it's nice to win...but...it's not fair and it's not balanced, so I doubt that it's likely.

 

In regards to your second bit, I noticed that about the coroner report upon banishment as well. It's a riskier way to find out alignment of ghosts, but it does give good information.

Gah! So how would the game be balanced if only town was changed to mafia. That makes no sense both sides would have to change. Its odd your only looking at one side of this..

@Amega--Umm...other members of the cult would only change if they died as well and were resurrected by town, in your scenario...so...potentially...if the Cult got lucky as far as deaths go...if the Cult Leader was the only one to die...and then was resurrected as town...he'd know who all the cult were at the time of his death, at the very least. And as town, he'd be obligated to share. And then it's not a matter of scumhunting, it's a matter of if you can lynch faster than the cult can recruit.

 

I recognize speculation about the game setup and balance probably won't get us anywhere.... It's just, from all my experience in mafia games, which is fairly substantial, the particular idea you're touting seems very unbalanced.

 

Notice I'm not talking about the rest of the cult. Just the cult leader. I don't argue that cult recruits might be able to change. That would make sense. But the cult leader himself?

I think that the main way to join cult is by being resurrected by cult leaders (necromancers. sounds familiar, necromancers animating dead?), but that's just me, we could always ask Kivam :P

Re: Gender--the icons are only there if you actually go to someone's profile, so don't get so miffed. We all make mistakes sometimes. I've done it myself; it's nothing personal.

Yes, that would be pretty obvious by now for anyone that can read. Since I will likely be banished anyway I will just tell you what I have found out.

 

I started this game as a mason ghost. We are three masons, all ghosts. Unlike other ghosts we all have different abilities. I´m the cop. When I was brought back to life I couldn´t speak to them anymore and that is why I have been so obvious about who I have viewed - just to let them know. Now that I´m dead again I can talk to them. One of them has said it´s okay to verify this but not the other one so I will just leave it to them if/when they want to tell you.

 

Night one I viewed Kivam = guilty. Night two I viewed BG = guilty. Last night I viewed someone that is innocent. I won´t tell you who it is but my friends know who it is. I will tell them who I will view tonight so they know if I get banished.

Kivam always know what he is doing so I guess he had some kind of plan with this. I guess he just wanted to post before my reveal so that you wouldn´t believe me.

Actually, I can view if I´m ghost too but it would be more difficult for mafia/cult to kill me for good if I stay ghost. But this is something I will have to leave to others to decide. If I understand it correct Father Joran (?) is still alive and he is probably the most important townie so keeping him alive must be a priority.

I think there are just enough half truths in there that make it seem plausible, but ultimately untrue. First off, I think you are on a team, but I believe it to be a cult team. I believe you are are on a team with Kivam and are attempting a gambit.

 

I am NOT guilty, because I do indeed win with town. My role is that of Ghostbuster. I kill ghosts I think are detrimental to town. I killed Ishy cause of his creepy posts, and I killed Red. Without me, you will never be rid of the evil ghosts...
