It all comes down to who i protected for this phase doesn't it? If you submitted a NK for the same player i protected then no one dies and we still out number you 4 to 3, then you will get lynched Nolder, and so on.

Discussion time! Please everyone, let me know what you thought of the game mechanics. This was my first modding experience, so let me know what was good, what wasn't, and what I can do better next time!

this was probably the second most enjoyable game I've ever been in (the first being my first game ever)

it just goes to show you that you don't really need a lot of fancy roles to have a good time (granted we got extremely lucky with our lynches and kills)

 

the only criticism I would make is the two roles that really caused the most confusion in the game (that the mafia didn't cause anyway)

those would be that Boba Fett, a well known bad guy/neutral guy, won with town and "Medical Robot"

 

I understand why Boba Fett was a vigilante

that's basically what he is (well he's after money not justice...)

but I think it may have been better to put someone else in the vigilante role

Boba Fett was no friend to the rebellion nor the heroes associated with it

this really threw town off and gave some legitimacy to my claim that I was Vader and won with town (which is why I exploited it in the first place)

 

Medical Robot seems to be one of those roles I was talking about that mods will throw in just to stop massclaiming from being effective

however I think it might have been better to tag that role onto a vanilla townie and not the towns doctor

Amadine could have easily been lynched had the massclaim come at a different time simply because her role didn't mesh right with the others who were all main characters

 

overall I feel the Boba Fett thing was a bigger deal but both of them combined really hit town hard I think and screwed up their sense of direction

they got caught up in the roles and were kind of ignoring what people were doing

in my opinion I believe Kate was a little obvious

while some of her questions were legitimate I think they a little too often to look like anything other than "playing dumb"

also it should be noted she often bandwagoned onto whoever looked to be most in trouble at the time

often without much reasoning or just echoing someone else's

 

I'd say what really won us the game was Jack

I would not have gotten Red lynched without his support

 

as for my own play

I think this was probably my best game as mafia ever

though I've only been mafia a few times

I really enjoyed playing with my team

I think in the game thread they seemed a little obvious but behind the scenes we all worked together and planned each step of the game

hope to play with you all again sometime!
