Which book has the best cover art? Title?

I like the ring covers but hate the pictorial ones. The pictorial ones are so bad that I would feel embarrassed reading them in public. So when I bought them I specifically bought the ones with the rings on them and avoided the picture ones.

 

Lord of Chaos is definitely the best title, but nearly all the titles are good.

FoH for Cover under protest and TDR for title. After reading The great hunt, you cannot help but to see the Artist has no concept of the books. Loial looks nothing like he should, and Lanfear who is supposed to be the most beutiful women in an age know for beauty is dog ugly. No offense to the artist,but he or she has missed on every cover.

 

 

And before anyone says it, of course i know at that point on the cover she is using Mask of Mirrors, but the way Rand and Hurin and Loial describe her, she should still be 10 times better looking then the cover portrays her. :)

 

I've felt that way about all of them. It seems pretty clear Mr. Darrell Sweet has never read the book, and only been given two word descriptions of the characters. Plus his style is just really dated.

Agreed. In fact, during my current re-read I'm also in the process of re-covering my paperbacks with the e-book art. The DKS cover art is... just not all that attractive at best, and badly inaccurate at worst.

 

Favorite title is probably The Shadow Rising as well.

At some point I think I'll re-cover mine with the ebook versions as well. Those are amazing. That said, I do think some match the titles better than others. My top three Title + cover art ebooks are

 

Crossroads of twilight. this scene represents one of the key decisions that the title implies.

 

Winter's Heart, for a few reasons. first it's a key moment in the book. second, to me the title is referring to both the prolonged winter season, and Rand becoming colder and harder. and third i think it's cool how the blue crystal sphere is over his heart.

 

Lord of chaos. Once again, showing a key moment from the book. and it looks chaotic.
