This question is one that is as older than Modern Times (1936) but will be continually asked for all eternity. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think its been done here for a while. I tried to pick ones that truly engaged me and have--at least on some level--cinematic brilliance.

1. The Godfather (1972)

2. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)

3. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)

4. Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

5. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)

6. The Usual Suspects (1995)

7. Goodfellas (1990)

8. The Matrix (1999)

9. Life Is Beautiful (1997)

10. The Sting (1973)

11. Rear Window (1954)

12. Memento (2000)

13. Apocalypse Now (1979)

14. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)

15. Forrest Gump (1994)

As I look over my selecties, they seem rather randomly passionate.

But so it goes.
