He could well have been manipulated by someone. Which would make sense. At the beginning of the day Aemon voted CJ. Then Lily mentioned people must check their PM's. Now only he and Meesh and voted. I first took it to mean, he hadn't checked his finder result and then changed his vote. But then if you are finder he would have looked for that first. So someone had given him orders on what to say! (ie claim Finder and who to choose) I think he was controlled the whole day. He may not have been able to let us know, without being Mod killed!

 

By doing this, it looks like someone outed the Healer whilst doing it. I feel that Meesh's role may have been a real one for the night. Why else would the Mafia try and get two lynches in one day, it could have left us with a random lynch which means one of them could have been hit. So I think they didn't know about Meesh, but used that info to make Aemon look even scummier.

Perhaps Aemon was being controlled to claim a viewing on Lia- AND could give out a special power so long as Meesh voted for who he wanted her to vote for (as he DID want to vote for CJ before he changed his mind and went on a Lia-attack). This leads me to believe that both Meesh and Aemon felt CJ was a threat, and if the power Meesh was given did in fact work it gives us evidence of CJ's scumminess as well. Of course this is all speculation, but I am inclined to believe this as we have not much else to go on.

 

I'm gonna finish re-reading as my mind is on a different mafia game and I gotta get back on track here before I vote.

I am certainly confused if Aemon didn't actually have a power at all. Unless he gained something in exchange for losing control of his posts for the day? But then it just gets super complicated.

 

I still think CJ is scummy, IMHO. Dunno, I just can't look past him even with all this chaos going on about him, Meesh, Lia, and Aemon.

i fail to see how Aemon lying/being controlled makes Meesh correct.  where's the correlation?

Because Aemon was the one (the only one, mind you) that came out and tried to take responsibility for what happened to me Night 1.  Since he was lying, that means that no one messed with me at all--it was real.  (Granted, someone COULD have messed with me, but Talya did say "almost certainly correct" which just means that in all likelihood, I'm onto something here, not that I'm definitely 100% right.)

 

Also, the fact that no one's come out and claimed responsibility lends support to my theory that it's a game mechanic, but I could be wrong.

yes, he was the only one.  which means that the actual person (just like the actual finder) saw that he was a sinking ship and decided not to reveal.

i'm positive it's a person, and i'm pretty sure they're mafia.  i just don't see how a controlled vote would be useful for the town.  it would only be useful to a single person's wants/needs.

@CJ--So it doesn't seem like a fair trade, that in exchange for the town getting an extra ability for the night, one person has their vote controlled for a day?  I think the benefits of a finder viewing far outweigh the negative effects of a controlled uote. It's just one vote.

Okay, i'm going to reveal, mainly because I'm surprised to be here today, and I may not make another night. I have a role that allows me to see how many mafia or on a particular vote at the end of the day. I have to guess how many were on a vote and I will be told whether more/less/same.

 

Night one I looked at Tigs vote which was;

 

Aemon, Meesh, JLM, Talya, Red, Wombat, Reyn

 

I asked if there were 2 and the answer was the same. So out of those there are two mafia.

 

So that means at least on in:

 

CJ, Pete, Lia, Amadine, Tigs

 

Last night I ask the same (2) on Aemon's vote:

 

Red, Wombat, CJ, Talya, Lia, JLM

 

and got the result more than 2

 

There could be one in:

 

Meesh, Amadine, Reyn but I'm not going to concentrate on that.

 

I actually queried with Lily about the number of Mafia after Aemon first claimed and then Meesh, with this role as well seemed excess, so I thought there were 4 mafia or something. However now that I know that Aemon wasn't a finder, I believe there are 3. And mine is the Finder role...sort of. Oh I got PAFO from Lily :D

 

This makes me think Meesh's role might be true! but I'm not 100%

 

Taken that there are three, out of those left out of the Tigs lynch...only CJ and Lia are left. I'm inclined to think Lia is the healer, but not 100% again! It makes sense to have 3 so that leaves CJ as being Mafia. He is the only one left.

 

Then from those on Aemon lynch I believe 3 are mafia..

 

Red, Wombat, CJ, Talya, Lia, JLM

 

Taking me and Lia out of that equation, it leaves us with CJ (again) JLM, Wombat and Red.

 

So out of those 4, 3 are mafia.

Tayla that roll is so confusing as well as the logic behind it that i'm actually gonna believe your role claim.

 

 

one thing that sticks out in my mind is that i don't think 100% that Lia is healer.  Aemon was being controlled, which means the person the controller told him to target would most likely be on a scum team IMO.  it seems pretty slim that the one person they would target would turn out to be a power role like the healer.

 

then again, it's the same % chance that Meesh was told to vote for CJ, received a 1 time view and happened to view him as scum.  

 

i honestly find it weird that the scum team didn't go for her last night and went for a relatively quiet player.

 

 

and out of curiosity, did anyone else receive a contract in return for an unknown controlling their vote last night?

Why would they go for Meesh, she had a one time ability and her death would have made CJ look more guilty.

 

If Lia is mafia, it would mean there are 4 Mafia and that would seriously tip the game in their favour, especially as we don't have a full finder, hence Meesh's  one time shot. If CJ is Mafia then it would mean the rest of the team are in the Tigs vote and the Aemon vote!

 

Which leaves two out of yourself, Wombat and JLM as being Mafia!

imo, aemon was being controlled.  the scum could use this to their benefit to either try and confirm one of their own via false reveal, or hit two birds with one stone.  if it was the two birds with one stone, then why did the mafia not try to NK Lia last night.

 

my point is, Lia isn't 100% confirmed imo because of the Aemon thing. just like if CJ flips scum, Meesh wont be 100% cleared imo.    both will move further down my list, but thats all

I am the finder and I got a guilty reslut on Meesh last night.  I don't know about CJ or anyone that Talya has implicated but I know Meesh is scum.

Really Wombat, then why did you vote for Lia after Aemon said he was the finder and found her mafia yesterday. If you were finder you wouldn't have done that. the only reason you unvoted was when she said she was a healer. Your plans of Aemon setting the lynch going on Lia would have been really good if you hadn't have chosen the healer.

 

As for the Mafia going to Lia, until the finder is outed Red then the Healer will save themselves, why bother going after Lia. And Meesh has said she isn't a finder, so there would be no point going for her neither. They went for a quiet player who will not provide much info.

 

So looks like Wombat and Red are at the top of my list.

Trying to put two people in a team when they aren't! Still doesn't mention anything about Aemons Finder claim! Even after a healer has claimed, that would at least give him an in road for getting at Aemon as finder! unless of course he knew that Aemon wasn't really as it was his team that set him up!

 

I find Lia's claim scummy, but I also find Aemon's relative silence scummy.  I am willing to lynch either one.

As for Meesh and CJ, I am not sure what is going on there.

I was half expecting Aemon to flip jester after seeing that self-hammer.  I was certainly not expecting him to flip vanilla townie.  Something strange is definitely going on.  Don't know what to make of it yet.

 

This could easily be a townies surprised he wasn't scum after the stuff that Aemon said, but it could also be Mafia making it sound like they are surprised...could go either way!
