{DPR Mafia} Vampire Hunter 5 - Town Slaughtered

[DPR]

Admiral is ahead, watching the sides as he passes. Both lines that follow are doing the same, but the vampires are fast.

 

There are no streetlights, they have been destroyed.

 

From the right, they hit you - a group of vamps, too many to count, come screaming out of the darkness like blood starved bashees.

 

Automatic gunfire is punctuated by shotgun blasts, but the monsters are among you before you can kill them all...

 

"Go to small arms! Small arms!"

 

Admiral's voice calls out hoarsely, and then you see him, a .45 long barrel in each hand, drawing down and firing in an organized fashion. Every time he shoots, a vampie's head snaps back and they go down. Wombat mirrors the old hunter with his Gauss pistols, and before long the vamps are down.

 

"Swords and axes! Take their heads, and burn those motherf..."

 

The last part gets cut off by an explosion on the next street.

 

The team watches, and waits...

Several of the new hunters begin walking in the direction of the explosion...

[Admiral]

 

"Hey!"

 

They stop dead in their tracks, staring at the man storming toward them.

 

"That's a great way to get yourself killed! Did you stop to think about who set those explosions off? Look around you, there are at least a dozen dead vamps here! That means that there are more out there, a lot more, and the second you let down your guard, they'll be on you."

 

He looks back at the group.

 

"Form the lines up! Back into postion!"

 

As the last of you head back to the lines, he grabs your arm. There's a tear in your sleeve.

 

"You didn't get bit did you?"

 

Hard eyes stare into yours. You already know what happens if you answer yes.

 

"No. It just tore my shirt...it didn't bite me."

 

Admiral nods.

 

"Good."

We were told there is no need to wait for an answer. We're racing against the recruiter here. Faster we save innocents and find him (hopefully even before they have the chance to recruit) the better for us hunters. Waiting around for a response is just more time for the master dude thing. We've hit the majority, if he was a vampire he's dead, if not he's still alive and we have to hurry and vote again.
