The room is silent as the Captain gives the orders.

 

"We're going all-in. Our only chance is to distract this thing with numbers and pray we can take it down. If we don't stop it now, it will create a master vampire army in a month, and no one will ever be able to stop it. Some of you have hunted many times before. For some, this is your first hunt, but none of that matters. No one has ever hunted a master like this before."

 

A master that can make other masters...it seems impossible. UNbelievable. Unbeatable...

 

"We'll stick together, that's our only hope to survive" He pauses, "Tandis won't be making this one..."

[DPR]

"So you'll just have to make do. The armory is at your disposal. Nothing is off limits. It's kill or be killed..."

[DPR]

 

"I just wish Tandis was here to lead you. She was the last of the experieced hunters..."

 

The sound of boots echoes from the hall outside. The door pushes open. But it's not Tandis that walks into the room. The Captain's face drops as he whispers oh my god...

 

A man stands there, looking more like a cowboy than ex-military. He's a bit older than the members of the group, but he's lean. Even standing still, he looks like he's fast.

 

The Captain regains the power of speech.

 

"Admiral?"

[Admiral]

 

In a smooth southern drawl he replies...

 

"Captain." He looks around the room as he walks to the front of the room.  "I came as soon as they told me she went down. She gonna make it?"

 

The Captain shakes his head. "We don't know, but it doesn't look good."

 

Admiral nods. "Well, I've seen hunters with more kills go down with less fight. Unless there are any objections, I'll take the team in. I count 19. I'll round it up to 20."

 

He turns to look at the group.

 

"I hope ya'll are ready to kill the s**t out of some vampires."

*looks up from his 2 gauss pistols, auto shotgun, .50 caliber sniper rifle, and silver-titanium alloy daisho*

Darkness falls across the land. Admiral slips in the last .45 slug and spins the chamber. Satisfied, he flips it closed. He turns to the group.

 

"Look, there ain't no way I'm about to impart oer 50 years of vamp huntin' wisdom into your thick skulls. Do as I say, exactly how I say it, exactly when I say it, and pray to your maker it sees you through."

The voting may commence. This hunt is on.

 

There will be surprises alomg the way, including Call-And-Response actions and some unfrinedly visitors, but we'll get to all of that in due time.

State of the art body armour. Assualt rifles, long range and short range. Explosive ordinance. Handguns, knives, and even one RPG are all strapped over hunter's backs and along theri sides.

 

Admiral is in faded jeans, an old leather jacket and carries a shotgun.

 

The group is in formation, making their way doen the misty streets of the small town, headed toward the mall.

 

You move forward in two lines,the occasional shot ringing out as newly turned vamps rush out from the shadows, only to be cut down by the crack team. But it's early. Very early...
