Again, no one is thrashing you.  Just cause we corrected you doesn't mean it's a thrashing.  You really need to not take everything to heart in mafia or it will drive you crazy.  Ask me.  Ask Meesh.  We've both lost it in games and wanted to quit.  You can't let every little thing directed at you hurt your feelings.

I have a code which i like to uphold: "Don't do a controlled lynch and not care about whether they were innocent or not" and so i am left with a random mod kill, and if you think about it, it is the same thing. I'm sorry, but i won't take part in something that can be either or.

Naeann, i'm being silly is all, i know no one is thrashing me. and i know no one is saying anything about me myself, she is just correcting me so it is all good :D

Isn't a Stump someone who when reveals, is safe from dying but can't vote?

Wayy, i think thats the hammer.

Now all we have to wait for is MCS to say whether those votes count and then a story :)

*gathering sticks for a campfire, and brings marshmellows* :D STORY TIME YAYYY!!

Well, as I've already said, and others have agreed with me, having given his information and used his one-time ability, we can actually learn more from David's death than we can from a random modkill, unless of course either a mafioso is lynched or else David happens to be the kill, and they could still be the same thing.

Also, his reasons for revealing just now, and having used his ability so early in the game, are so flimsy that it's not even funny.  Yes, it could go either way but that's the case for pretty much any situation in mafia.  If you don't like running the risk of being wrong, don't play mafia.

I've come to believe, at this point, that you and David are scumbuddies.

**edit new posts**

Well, thank goodness for that vote, Ed.

Well, since everyone HAS voted, I believe, a random modkill could hit any of us, you know.  It's better to lynch for information than to wait for a random modkill that more than likely won't do any good.

And yes, time to wait.

Hahah, yeah guess you're right Meesh, i look scummy..yummy tummy.. :D rhyme

i guess the best thing to do now is vote for me, then we shall find out ;)

lallalaa, "life in plastic, its fantastic".. :-[ sorry, listening to Barbie Girl :-[

marhmellow anyone?

Sorry - Just got home and my phone is a little iffy on DM.

How in the world can you look at someone yesterday when it is day 1? Or, could you use your ability during day phase?

And, I would have changed my vote from Pookie to David. But, since we have a hammer, we just have to wait for the mod!

*Also pretends he isn't late*  Oh heck with it I'm late.  (An extra half an hour because I had to wait for the computer.  The nerve...someone using our computer who is not me.  ;))

I'm sensing a lot of newbie-ness in this game which can make it difficult to get a read.

As the sun set, the cavewight continued to grin at the fact that he was the chosen one of the great Lord Foul for stealing the Staff of Law. Wandering back to his cave, he giggled maliciously at the fact that he had been able to make such a clever disguise to fool the Stonedowners. For all they knew he had been just another stupid rural bumpkin like the rest of them. Coming up to the entracne to his cave, he could see that the torch was lit inside. Perhaps he'd left it burning. At least that is what he had hoped. "MONSTER! We knew something was odd about you!" They were on him before he could use the magic of the Staff of Law. With that, Drool Rockworm was no more.

David Hermes (Drool Rockworm) the mafia Roleblocker, has been lynched.

Night 1 will now commence. Please send in your  actions.

The deadline for Night 1 is 8 PM EST tomorrow (Thursday)

While I'm thrilled that we got mafia, there's something disturbing about lynching someone named Drool. Oh, the visual! lol

Holy cow that was a great catch!!!

Wow David... when I first started reading through all that... *facepalm* . For those of you who haven't met David, he has a flair for this sort of thing. Anyhow, glad it was caught, and it was Nae who honed in on it.

Lily dear, I'm quite surprised at your reveal - it's a rather convenient one, don't you think? And a flashy show of altruism there. You've either painted a nice target over your head for the mafia to take you, or you gave yourself a very clever innocent guise to hide behind. And Lily, we all know and love you as being devilishly clever. Why do I have the feeling we're going to see you alive and hale come morning?

Incidentally, Aust, why feel the need to point out who honed in on David's BS?

Incidentally, why is it Nae you must point out, as it was Nae who David wanted everyone to think he knew was mafia?

Granted, Lily could be mafia, and David could have been trying to clear her name, but on the other hand, the smarter move would be to clear a teammate's name with your own death, no?  After all... "Why would David accuse Nae of being mafia if she really was mafia, and he was too?  That would be dumb, they should be trying to hide themselves, not put them out in the open!!"

The question for me now, after seeing David is mafia, is his claim that Lily is innocent real or no? I'm inclined to believe Lily and she's a smart player, so if she was mafia I don't think she would have been dumb enough to use that as a set-up, too obvious. Edit: interesting theory Meesh, definitely something to keep an eye on?

Koujin refused to vote, preferring a random lynch, and looks scummy to me.

I wonder if we should look closer at David's karma post that first set off some warning bells to Pookie? (I think it was Pookie)

I'll do a re-read later after I re-read the Buffy game.

Exactly Meesh.  It doesn't clear me one way or the other. Nor Lily.  *curses David*  What is your issue with me dude?

That has got to be the sweetest anyone has EVER been while accusing me. You get points for style, Aust. Of course, you lose them on accuracy, but nice approach!  ;) If I am alive in the morning, I think we'll be looking at you after that smooth setup. Not that I expect anyone to believe me, but if I was mafia, I would NEVER offer to be the lynch target on day one. No payoff in it that I can see. After all, what if you called my bluff?

Nae is hard for me to trust, as are all of our mafia-titans, including Lily and Pete. But in this instance, I think her irritation at David was authentic - trust me I have seen Nae irritated!!!

Lily and Nae are two of the most calculating and manipulative players in the game, when they are scheming. We've all seen it, and now we see both of them in prime action on day one - Nae with her turn on David and Lily with her role-reveal. Frankly, I find that all a little bit chilling, and I'm earnestly trying to anticipate their next moves.

We want to quickly gain some reassurance with these two.

Lily.. I don't think Aust has it in him to be nasty.  Even in mafia games.  He has a way of making his point with grace.  I envy him that.  I'm more emotional. *grins*

Edit:  Thanks Aust.. I'm not a master at manipulation.. that trophy goes to Kivam and Lily and them.  I just try to hold my own.
