Current Game(s) Status and Mod Queue - OLD

This thread is to be used for current mafia game status and mafia mod signups.  Upon signing up, you'll be placed in the queue for modding.  There are 3 types of mafia games on this board:  themed, standard, and fast.  For information regarding game setup, roles, and other general info, please see HERE.  Please PM one of the OG mods (noted in the link above) the setup for Themed games.  We will take turns checking them for balance, as another set of eyes can always help!

 

You may post the signup thread for your game once the game before yours (with that game type) has started.  Please allow for roughly 24 hours to pass after the game before you ends before actually starting your game.  This lets people catch their breath for a bit and then dive back in.

 

When starting your game threads, please adhere to the following naming conventions:

 

Place the term [THEMED], [sTANDARD], or [FAST] in front of the name of the game.  For example:

 

[sTANDARD] Star Wars mafia

Haha...just a summary.  This is mostly for the newer themed game mods.....but it always help to have another set of eyes.  Like Wes said in the old queue thread, we'll take turns if the summary will make it so that we can't play the game.  Or we could sub-contract it out to a veteran mod that isn't playing.  In other words, if somebody like Barm or Kivam (and some others) check it out and say it looks balanced, and they aren't playing in the game, then even better as it means both Wes and I can play!

 

Besides, I'm not sure I'd survive a peek into the mind of Lily for very long!  :-*

You can put me down for a Themed game - based on Avatar: The Last Airbender.  This will be almost Bizzaro Fiddlesmouth - in that game the mafia could have won if everyone died but the Vessel.  In this game, the Mafia will win if they manage to kill the Avatar - and all townies will know who the Avatar is.

Do you WANT the next in line to start signups as soon as the one before them begins play?  It's getting kinda jumbled in this section.

Signups start whenever the OG mods poke me and tell me to start a signup thread.

 

*dons admin hat* how signups work is up to the mods, but they should have a policy and put it in the opening post of this thread (as well as a new post once they come up with it).  My personal opinion is that signup threads should start whenever the current game (of that variety) is down to 6 players or so, but I'll leave it to the mods to come up with a rule.

Update the OP to reflect a waiting period of 24 hours after 1 type of game ends before starting the next game of the same type.  This will limit the madness and confusion and allow people to catch their breath before jumping back in.  ;)

Done.  And you (or anybody for that matter) can run another VERY quickly, as there is nobody in the queue and only Wes' is in signups....so we need some peeps to run fast mafias.

Since Wes is stirring up his vampire hunter game and getting people all excited about vamps, I think I'll run my Vampires vs Lychans game again. Maybe this time it'll go longer than 4 1/2 hours :D
