ME TOO!!!  I've posted my love of this chapter on another topic not too long ago, but it's worthy enough to repeat.  That quote alone makes the whole chapter, IMO but I love the whole scene where the jeweler scrutinizes her jewelery and then notices her AS ring.  And I also love when Nynaeve tells him she has several towns to visit before returning to Tear.

Whenever I re-read that chapter - which is awesome, I always hear the music from the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King when Aragorn rushes in to tell Theodin that the beacons are lit, that Gondor calls for aid... and Theodin pauses and then looks up to say 'And Rohan shall answer.'. I swear I get chills every time.

There is one scene that struck me, in Lord of Chaos, chapters 17 to 19. Rand is in Cairhien and meets Rhuarc, Dobraine and Berelain. As Mangin enter the room, they says nothing, then Mangin explains he broke Rand's law, and thus, shall die. And Rand is upset because the others should have been able to give the same response but waited on Rand.

 

And there is also the execution of Mangin.

 

What touched me is that Rand had to be fair with the law, but in the same time, it is hard to hang a ùan you think you could be friend with.

A couple I haven't seen:

 

TEotW,Ch50 "Meetings at the Eye". After defeating Balthamel, when Someshta reaches out to the acorn, growing it into a powerful oak tree.  And later when Loil takes a knee and sings the seed song to strengthen & protect his "tree brother".

 

TFoH, Ch44 "The Lesser Sadness".  When Sulin looks up to Rand and says something like, "... but you have found your People Caracarn..."

There are so many scenes that are really epic, like the cleansing of saidin and Mat with the Aelfinn,

and im Sorry for this but im gonna go slightly off-topic.

 

Im just so utterly impressed how Jordan, may he rest in peace unravels bit by bit and makes all so

incredible exciting reading. I wonder, did he have all the physics of the world and the "gameplay"

ready in his mind before he started writing or did he improvise during the prosess..

- I think a combination. well well. This said, i wanna share some of the times when i got goosebumps.

Several times I`ve been lik, wow, is this possible.. Like when Nynaeve discovers how to heal stilling

and when the world of dreams comes in to play. So many peaces fits so nicely together.

 

Goosebumplist :

 

-Trollocs in the ways

-Describing of the first Myrdraal (I just got the impression that here was much to discover)

-Shadar logoth (that place is just e v i l )

-Nynaeve heals stillng

-Perrin becoming a wolfman (yellow eyes,the wolf dream)

-Cleansing of saidin (epic)

 

I`m not finished with all the books yet. I have 200 pages left of Knife of dreams.

The latest goosebump scene was when Rand and Lews started to hurl freakin`DEATHGATES and BLOSSOMS of fire

at the trollocs.. :) awesome

 

sry again for the offtopic.. Btw I`ve posted some new Jack o`the Shadow verses, but im not yet NEAR some of the awsome verses there, i quote Rhuarc :

I think we should get the mods to do a compilation of the responses to this one (and the top 5 five thread on the first page now) and do an NCAA Tournament Bracket with the best scenes.

 

I ended up listing about 20 when the OP asked for 5, and after reading this one, I've got many more, especially the KoD Golden Crane, the Death of the Green Man and Loial's seed singing in EoTW, the Death of Perrin's family, and a Cup of Sleep.
