Up until day 9 I was VERY careful who I posted behind after I snagged that.  I think I used Nae and Lavi as buffers for at least 2 or 3 full days.  I'd just hold posts until one of them posted.  :P  I made efforts to not post after DPR for at least a little while too.  

 

I had the one that gave me the vessel's name since day 1.  Hence my PRs and silencings as a result of trying to learn the vessel each night until I did.  I targetted myself because at first I only trusted myself and later because I didn't want to hinder the people I trusted, though there were SUPPOSED to be chances of beneficial effects in addition to all the bad things.  *eyes Kivam*  It only took 8 nights of trying to get the D&D dice to not hate me.

this was a strange game for me relic-wise, I had two the entire game, too bad no one tried to take the one I didnt use, or we'd have a recruit. The other one just ended day early, and I used that too soon I think. all to save precious Wes  ;D

I was tempted to unleash it the first night, but I didn't have a clue who to use it on, though I probably would have gone after DPR or Alys first, just to bug the other one. :P

When I got it I was 85% sure DPR was mafia and I seriously debated using it on him, but then I started thinking... first, that was one night's worth of targets... who was I going to target after that?  I had no clue.  Second, who would target a random person and hope they hit mafia?  Maybe Ed, but I figured if he wasn't evil, letting it rebound on him was just dishing back what he was serving.  :D

 

(We're talking about the relic that triggered the Haunter... if it was activated and not used, it would target the last person to use it.)

Then it was supposed to start hitting random people, which tells me that somebody either banished it, or the mod forgot.  Anybody use something that might have banished a Haunter-type thingamabob?

When I got it the description said that it would rebound on the last person to use it if it went unused and then go back to sleep until it was started up again.  So I let it smack Ed and then didn't touch it for the rest of the game.

I had 3 relics for a fair chunk of the game, I started with one that I could only find out what it did if I had other relics (though, I never found any that worked with it), and I found the scroll that talked about the Haunter of the Dark and an elixar of Tilikum, leaving me short only the ankh to figure out what that set did. Sadly, I was never successful on any thief plays after that.

 

Surprisingly, nobody ever stole from me while I was alive, and I definitely was not careful about who I posted after.

I had that Ankh that I used at the end since the beginning of the game (which would end Day early and lynch the person with the most votes).  I also stole an Elixir from DPR during our big argument.  Of course, had I'd known it was bad, I wouldn't have been so happy at the time.

 

Sorry for the lazy play towards the middle of the game.  I got side tracked and couldn't give the game quite the attention it deserved.  Since Lavinya was catching cultists like crazy, I was just following along and not tracking people's posts throughout.  I tried to step it up towards the end, but I instead managed to help lynch two innocents.  Sorry guys.  :(

 

As for the mafia not trying to kill Lavinya, I'm guessing it was because the coroner was alignment-only, and they had no idea whether the healer was dead or not.  That's part of the reason I didn't explicitly confirm that I didn't use a night action on the night Verbal targeted me, because I figured that if Verbal was scum and he still had a teammate, they might target me instead of the real healer the next night.

Kivs will post all of the delicious game details, but I can explain a few mafia questions:

 

When we lost 2 out of 5 mafia members in the first 3 days, we had to really consider the suicide play as a viable option. We had no way of knowing that Anox was the vessel  :P so statistically, it was a better guess to say that a living innocent was probably the vessel and that the odds of winning that way were better than 3 against 18. So, I tried to play suspiciously, but also to try and cause as much collateral damage as possible.  I tried to pull everyone's attention away from the relics for obvious reasons, but I also tried to get people to drink the elixir.

 

Lavinya was obviousy going to be healed, but after Nae died, she could have been hit - I have to ask Danya, but by that time I'm pretty sure that she was trying to churn through as many people as possible and taking a chance on hitting the real finder might have wasted a nightkill (if a relice could protect - a fair assumption) so I can see where Danya would have just nailed players that would not be protected.

 

And amazingly, she brought it right up to endgame - had Danya placed those votes and killed successfully, she would have won and taken home of that GLORY! She came close as it was though...

Heh - plus the side effect you didn't know about.  For every four times you used the Necronomicon, the Cult got a "hidden" vote that lasted the remainder of the game

Some more details:

 

On the resurrections: Ed and Crusher were role coroners; they could target any dead player and learn if they had a role.  But, if they did, there was an 80% chance of resurrection.  For the mafia (who could not us it on dead teammates), there was a 40% chance the player would come back as-is, and 40% they would come back with an additional role (al Jenn came back as a Jailkeeper and roleblocked/silenced Verbal the day he investigated Alys, hence the null result).

 

For Crush, it was 40 original alignment and 40 mafia aligned (as a symp, which is how Wombat came up)

 

On relics, you've discussed the Shining Trapezohedron (started with Quibby), Necronomicon (Pookie), Ankhs (Danya, Lia, Hybrid), Shards (Barm, Tigs, Pandy) and Elixir (too many to list).

 

There was also the Cthulhu statue, which made Danya a doublevoter; if it had been stolen, the double vote would have followed - but any townie holding it for 3 days straight would become a symp.

That’s what I was guessing, but I figured that she’d have calculated it was end game and tried to hit her last night since she knew she’d not been viewed yet. The last 2 days, for those who were looking, saw her acting pretty suspiciously. She played innocent while trying to cast suspicions anywhere else. Especially loved the following treasure.

I can't believe I wasn't killed either. I didn't know it was to your place I was being invited nae but i'm glad I accepted. Drinking the elixir made you lose your vote.

You did a great job too, although I scratched my head at your not checking DPR earlier and not checking Verb.
