Dashes in, sword in hand, with a light sweat already on his skin. Talmanes looks around for the beast, then sights it just outside the Church.

He ran and slashed at it cutting it deep, but not stopping it, it was barely even slowing down.

It lunged at him, but he sidestepped and swung at its back. It screamed in pain and lurched around at him.

It was still going, but he had slowed it down some.

Talmanes knew he had to end this quickly, before it could regain strength, so he fought as hard as he could,strike after strike against the beast.

Then a thought struck him! He lunged at the beast forcing it back, then lept back and took something out of his pocket.

With a count of 1...2...5... (3 a bystander corrected) ...3! He threw the object and the beast was slain with an explosion.

 

Once again, The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, had saved the day.

After defeating the beast he immediately began to seek for his beloved...

Charis had run. She had run so far, and the Beast was still gaining on her. Finally, in a last ditch effort to get to safety, she made a mad dash toward the warm lights coming through the windows of the Church. Bursting through the doors, she looked for her beloved and protector.

 

Next thing she knew, she was in a dark room, and not far away, she could hear voices droning on, and on, and on...

 

Hoping Talmanes would find her soon, Charis settled in to wait
