I think we can figure out what the poison or "posion" doctor and the poisoner are.

 

The Psychiatrist and psycho are slightly more vague. Like a wannabe cop or serial killer? And a role finder rather than evil/innocent finder?

 

Fortune teller being similar to a cop? Evangelist? That would be a recruitment role? Based on the whole evangelists trying to convert the sinners and all... But townies never get recruitment, do they?

 

Which leaves the socialite. Those can be good or bad. Any ideas?

Forgot to say back up probably has another role and the mason group likely do as well, but that presents a shortage of players vs roles. And the lead mason might be the evangelist and able to recruit?

Long time noe see. And I have brought some cookies for old times sake. They do tend to jump in votiong early these days, quite knocks you over. And me having a vote already, lol.

 

When Wes put me in this I did think it would be awesome for me and Kivam to do the gambit again, lol. I'm almost thinking that Barm is trying to set me up to look like we are trying to do that! (me and Barm that is)

Ok, it seems like a lot of these roles are somewhat similar or directly related to each other.

 

The Tree Stump becomes invincible when they announce they are a tree stump. But once they become invincible, they are no longer able to vote.

 

The firefighter is the cure to the arsonist, but if the arsonist dies the firefighter becomes a regular townie.

 

The poison doctor is the cure to the poisoner.

 

I'm guessing the Psycho and Psychologist are intertwined, and the Masons's go without saying. Perhaps if the Mason's are innocent people tied together, the P&P may be linked as siblings and lovers only they are evil?

 

We have a Roleblocker and the Jailkeeper (Doctor + Roleblocker combo)

We've done double voter before. When we did, they got to take someone else's vote and place it where they wanted. Voteless player is obviously not going to get a vote, but would need to influence others' thoughts to be useful.

 

Governor is able to stop a lynch, if I remember correctly.

 

I still didn't see the Psycho and Psychologist.

Ok, i am a fool. A fool to think that a game with these player's was EVER going to be a nice quiet reentry into the world of Mafia.

 

Specifically Barm - 3rd or so post in the thread and he starts; his post had me alternately laughing and crying a little inside. You're up to something without a doubt - and disguising what ever it is well. You have power i just can't work out whether you're using it for good or evil :P

The ones I figure are doubled are the evangelist/lead mason. But that depends on my guess that the evangelist is a recruiter for the town. The biggest problem I see with this is that I can't seem to find a role set that counters the masons. I'm still trying to work out role balance.

 

It is possible one of the masons might be the vig, the sk or the traitor. Which might help balance the group out. Traitors are very effective because it is their choice until they are dead. Been there, done that and won.

 

For sure town roles seem to be:

Cop

Doctor

Masons

Role blocker

Voteless player

Tree stump

Back up

Governor

Firefighter

 

For sure anti town roles seem to be:

Arsonist

Poisoner

Psycho

 

Roles that could go either way seem to be:

Socialite (unknown)

Fortune teller (unknown- could be mafia doctor)

Traitor (doesn't have to turn)

Poison doctor (could be a bad doctor who doesn't know)

Psychiatrist (unknown)

Evangelist (unknown)

Role blocker (tends to hurt town)

Jail keeper (any role blocking can help or hurt)

Double voter (could vote poorly)
