Wombat, this will not benefit the mafia one bit, except for the confusion it may cause. I don't want to do that, so I guess revealing is a good option, really. Like I said, it affects nobody but me, and may even benefit the town to know this power is out there.

 

During the day phase, I received a PM from Pete that I was turned miller. It was a player action that did this. For those who don't know, a miller is a townie who comes up as mafia when viewed, but they really aren't. I didn't know that the power to turn someone miller existed, and maybe Pete just made it up, as a twist, but there it is. If someone on the mafia team can do this (and I can't imagine it being a town power....) it's going to make our finder's job even harder. And maybe get an innocent or two lynched.

 

What I don't want is for this to distract us from scum-hunting, which is why I'm revealing it now. Ed seems more focused on my little problem here than finding scum (unless, of course, Ed is scum....) I don't want others to put too much thought into it. We need to stay focused.

You're not only a miller, but someone turned you into a miller?  That's odd.  I don't know whether to believe it or not.  Miller claims are obviously very troublesome.  I think if I were a miller I would reveal early, because it would look too scummy revealing right when I was about to get lynched, so that's a point in your favor.  Then again it's pretty obvious that a mafioso would love for people to believe that he or she was a miller.  I've never played with a miller before (LZM claimed miller in the Christmas game but I didn't believe it and he turned out to be scum) so I don't know how to tell just from your roleclaim if you're telling the truth.  I think I will have to judge you on the merits of your actions.  With regards to that, I don't have a read on you.  You seem to have a very different style from me which means that pretty much every game I've seen you in, including this one, I've been wary of you but haven't had a read on you.

I don't know if I believe your claim of being turned Miller.

 

I have never heard of it, though I guess, knowing Pete, it might be a viable option.

 

Sometimes...mafia games make me mad...trying to figure everything out. :D

I admit that it is an easy claim for a mafioso to make, and there's no way other than a coroner's report to prove or disprove it. I've been on a team of millers in one of DSage's games. The only way the town believed us was to lynch one of us. I hope you don't have to go to that extreme here. On the other hand, this sort of question over my claim is just what the mafia wants, and why they would have such a power. I'd really rather be looking for the real scum than debating whether or not I'm telling the truth. *sigh*

So maybe Ed is Mafia and they have the power of turning an innocent into a Miller, which could enable the mafia to turn an innocent Miller and the FOS them and so *if* the finder had investigated, they could add the finders support to their own. which would lead to a quick lynch..

I agree that this has to be a mafia role.

I wonder how many times that have it? If they Mill {v. to turn a townie into a Miller :D :P} the whole, then the finder is useless. I think Pete would have foreseen that.
