Day 3 dawns.  Shockingly, Lia/Selucia is dead.  Some people shift nervously.  If someone so accomplished at hand to hand combat can be killed how will they survive?

 

Lia, aka Selucia the Bodyguard (Town) is dead.

 

I'll not count the rest of Sunday as a day so the deadline for day 3 votes is Wednesday at 10:00 PM EST.

 

With 12 people alive it takes 7 votes to lynch.

I have nothing. I don't know if I was roleblocked or what. I'm so pissed. Pete doubled my action so I could get two sets of names, but apparently I was blocked or something. Argh I spent so much time thinking over this, too! With the names I sent in, we would have known for sure if either Tynaal or Talamanes was not town, and with the second set, we would've known about Lia and Wombat. Although I guess we know now that Lia was telling the truth.

 

Well, I say we go for Tynaal or Talamanes. Pete was obviously telling the truth about doubling actions, because I got to send in a second set of names (not that it matters). So he is probably town.

 

I am so unbelievably frustrated.

It's cool, Wombat, I'm suspicious of everyone, too :D I don't actually suspect you at the moment, but if Lia hadn't died and I'd gotten my results, I could've crossed you off for sure. So you're still on the list, but very, very low on it, at the moment.

 

I'm cool with going for [glow=red,2,300]Talmanes[/glow]. Honestly, at this point, him and Tynaal are pinging my radar pretty equally. But one of them has to be town. Unless in some weird way pete isn't town.

 

Well, Pete was definitely telling the truth about his role. I don't see how a mafia could have the ability he has; otherwise, they'd just use it on their fellow mafia all the time, to get two nightkills. I guess he could be a solo win, but it seems like a weird ability for a solo win to have, too. It seems more like something a townie would have, to help the town.

Personally I'm a little more suspicious at Alanna and Pete now. Not for voting for me, that would just be revenge, but Alanna says she was blocked or something and Pete says he used his thing on her, so they could be in this together trying to get lynches. I'm not sure how experienced Alanna is, but I know that Pete has played a lot, and this is starting to look like an elaborate plot. For the town's sake though, I hope we get some more info.

Announcing that they had powers and who they were going to view then saying Alanna was blocked seems a bit two convenient so both Pete and Alanna are suspect in my eyes. However, since I have been twice I will not vote now and am open to reasons why my suspicion of Pete and Alanna are wrong.

Well that is a good basis for a case against myself but you are missing one critical answer. Why would I go through so much trouble and say I have an action and say I have used it on Alanna? If we were scum together I could tell her on a quicktopic board, through a pm or over msn. I wouldn't have to put it out for the game thread to see. I could claim vanilla deathwatch guard like Red so I wouldn't have to worry about a counter claim. This preliminary case building is really raised Cuba and Crafty up on my suspicoun list. Since We know either Tynaal or Talmanes is scum, first we look there but Alanna when you get chance I think you should include me and crafty and cuba in your viewings to see what you get, or me and another suspected innocent and one of those two to test them.

I'm assuming Pete and Alanna have the same alignment because Alanna vouched Pete's roleclaim.

 

If we go along with Pete and Alanna:

If Pete and Alanna are telling the truth, we either get a free scum kill or make a 1 for 1 trade, which is pretty good.  If they are both scum, and Talmanes and Tynaal are innocent, then we still get a 2 for 2 trade which I think would be much better for us than the mafia.

 

If we take Pete and/or Alanna out first:

If we take Pete or Alanna out first and they are innocent, we lose a roled innocent and possibly another innocent in return for only 1 scum.  If Pete and Alanna are both scum and we take them out first, we get two free scum kills.

 

Going along with Pete and Alanna gives us a pretty good outcome no matter what.  Taking them out could be disastrous.  Therefore, going along with Pete and Alanna is less risky.  Combine that with the fact that I think Pete and Alanna are telling the truth, and it is clear that we should go along with Pete and Alanna.
