Anyway.  I think Verbals point about DPR was the word "Against."  Implying that the only way that DRP would know he was playing against someone is if he were mafia. 

 

 

Still...could be an innocent slip of poor word choice.

I'm actually going to play along with you on this.

 

Note to Finder:  please view Wes (DPR if you haven't figured it out by now, lol) tonight, if you haven't already.  If there is no "I found a mafia!" tomorrow, I will no longer be on his case.

 

Additional Note to Finder:  you need to automatically reveal once you find the first mafia, like Wes said...at least I think he said it.  I got lost in all the caps and blue bold.  :P

 

For now I'm keeping my vote on you.  Assuming you don't get called out tomorrow, we can start working together.  Something you said a while back is partly true:  metagaming.  Now I'm not totally metagaming here (it's bad, bad, bad), you did ping my radar waaayyyy more than usual, so that's why I'm on your case.  If you want to call that metagaming, fine.

 

Either way, I am willing to bet you or mnwhiterose is mafia.

Having said that, I can't let you get away with another day of hard-court pressing against me, and then backing off and trying not to look guilty...

He is saying she's either the finder and has found Dpr to be scum and was trying to subtly say so... or that she's mafia and therefore knows they are not on the same team and she slipped.  Given I'm already suspicious of her I'm going with a slip up.  No offence at all towards her... even the greats like Dpr and Kivam sill slip up sometimes.

 

 

 

Okay, that was a mistake on my part.  Wrong choice of wording on my part.  The way I see it, unless I know for a fact I am playing with someone (as in teams, mafia or otherwise), I say I am playing against them.  At this point, I am playing against everyone, since I do not know who my fellow townies are.  And I'm sorry, I'm not taking anyone's word right now that they are on the town's side because, well, I don't know everyone's playing style at this point.  Unless a confirmed Finder is willing to reveal him-or-herself and reveal any results from last night, I frankly don't trust anyone.  Maybe after a few games, my views will change.

 

So, all that being said - I have never played in a game where Wes has also played.  I do not know his playing style.  I do not know if he is mafia or innocent or otherwise, but my gut tells me he is mafia and my vote stands.  Not changing it unless someone can give me a good reason to.

I can tell you right now I still don't trust anyone in this game... once you somewhat learn Dpr's style you will be very afraid for your life.  I still haven't quite got Verbal's style down yet and you'd have to ask one of them what my style is... I just play.

 

On another note... Don't even take a non-contested reveal as gospel.  Ask me and Dpr about that... we played a game where our finder was revealed early.. and then recruited to mafia.  He kept "finding" innocents and we were killing off the wrong people and unknowingly..it was endgame... Someone suspected me .. or claimed suspicion.. and I volunteered to be findered.  The finder said I was mafia.  (I was innocent)  I even double checked my pm to be sure I didn't read something wrong!  Dpr blindly totally believed the finder.. (who wouldn't) and everyone lynched me... shocked to discover... I WAS INNOCENT!  Well played by Loki and I think it helped me become a better player although I was so mad, expecially at DPR. Hehe...

Don't be mad at me, that was crazy! That was a dicey setup to begin with - knowing that if the finder was recruited, it would make the game nigh unwinnable. Couple that with the fact that Loki was the finder, and that was it. And then to make it worse, he just pwned me in the next two or three games - it was a legendary streak for him.

Sorry I've been inactive for the past few days, guys.  I just came down with a cold/flu bug and I've been working on a big computer science project due this week... not a fun combination.  Anyways, here are my thoughts:

 

The person pinging my radar the most right now is [glow=red,2,300]mnwhiterose[/glow].  First, I don't like her reasoning for voting DPR.  I'm not really reading anything more than speculation into DPR's post about the night kills, and I also agree that it's the most likely scenario.  Second, there's her talk about it being her first game playing against him.  I almost missed this until other people drew attention to it.  It could just be a semantics issue like she says, but it also seems a lot like an unconscious slip-up.

 

At this time, I can't really get a good read on DPR.  I think he's trying to help us out, but I'm going to go back and reread all his posts in the meantime.

 

And then there's Verbal.  He seems to be on a crusade against DPR and yet refuses to truly elaborate on why he is so set on lynching him.  Again, I'm going to have to go back and reread all his posts.

One of the main objectives of a scum is to appear town.  This often takes place in the form of "helpfull" advice.  I'd be wary.  BTW..MN comes across way more a new player than scum.  She wants to particpate but does not know exactly what to say.

What scares me a bit with wes, is that he is still alive. When he is innocent, he usually never lives past first lynch or nightkill.... true WES??  ;D

 

I have been going through this thread every now and then, to see if I found something new. I have not, and have to agree with my vote on mnw...

So true. So very, sadly true. I was delighted to make it through day/night 1 and chalked it up playing with a new group of folks that I hadn't before. Of course, now you've jinxed me >.<

 

The one thing about DPR "trying to help us out" is that he sounds a lot like Mynd when he tries to help us out.  Last time I saw Mynd do that he was guilty.

Yeah, I will do you one better. Don't ever let anyone "help you out". I'll throw out information, but I will do my best to just present it and not sway with it. That's dificult in some cases, especially defending one's self, but I would caution against anyone ever taking anyone else's word at face value. After all, it is a 100% certainty that somebody is mafia, and they will do their best to hide it.

I am not ready to switch my vote . Both MN and Verbal smell Fishy to me but Verbal seems the Bigger Fish. However, if it looks like we need one vote to lynch MN and there is no other viable option i will switch my vote (although I have a little voice at the back of my head telling me that Verbal played MN into looking guilty). But I definately want to hear from those who have not posted since the Night Kill- your absence from posting makes you look guilty.

I'm sorry [glow=red,2,300]mn[/glow] but nothing you've said has helped to alleviate my suspicions. I am still extremely suspicious of Verby but you seem like the most likely mafia to me. If you turn out to be innocent (which I doubt or I wouldn't vote for you) at the very least you will have sparked lots of information in relation to Verby and Wes.
