Possible RP plan/sign-up (Pending approval)

Hi ladies.  :)

 

This RP has been submitted and approved. I still want to see how many people might be interested and maybe get some help on how to plan this a bit better, so nothing's for certain. This is the tentative draft for a pretty solid RP plan/idea that just needs to be more specific. Tweaking/suggestions welcome!

 

Roleplay: Echoes of the Past Decry (Retro)

 

Open to: Sisters

 

IC Timeline: 2 year—Retroactive RP set in the past, so, no references to the Bowl of Winds or Cleansing. Set a bit before the main timeline.

 

Purpose: A good way to get back into RPing. Group RP, not really to fulfill any requirements, although there could be a chance to gain incidental WS through a planned skirmish. The purpose of the RP is a sort of gaining a purpose as an Aes Sedai for Saline, who has never done much as a Sister. Her study of earth weaves could spark the need for setting up Safehouses as a project, and at the same time interact with the landscapes and people around.

 

How it currently stands: 4 Phases/Threads

 

Phase 1: Words to a Lonely Song

Where: WT, EAST

After many years of absence Saline returns to the White Tower. She had spent a lot of her early years in self-imposed exile, but now she intends to make peace with Rory Sedai, her best friend and lover. Instead she is approached by Maegan Sedai who informs Saline how Rory Sedai, a Green; Lillian and Abigail, White Sisters, started their quest for relics from the Mountains of the Mist and years ago somehow vanished in the Borderlands. Saline makes up her mind to search for them. She takes whatever help comes to her to join the search party. So Lavinya come along. Also Maegan will be sending Saline to meet up with Beatrice a freelander E&E.

 

Phase 2: Land Beneath the Sky

Where: WEST; Mountains of the Mist

In which our journey abroad begins, Saline learns about upheavals in the land. Her horticultural interest expands into topographical research, in particular the knowledge of geography for manipulation. She traces some of the source to Rasputin an old dreadlord with an Earth major who searches for faults in the ground, and causes eruptions from what is natural in the world. The purpose of Saline's Ajah is to watch for the Breaking, to prevent if possible, but to preserve what can be. What Saline needs is a way to understand how one can Break the Earth, to salvage it from misuse. Likewise, she would be able to decipher how the Earth is naturally, and what is likely to happen to it as the years go by, helping villagers in danger of avalanches and quakes. As we all know, women are typically not strong in Earth, so Saline will learn from what the men could do as the shape of the land confirms her suspicions. Lavinya will help Saline’s struggles and deepen their understandings of principles behind the Earth weaves. Will meet with Beatrice at some pt.

 

Phase 3: Our Learning Curve Steepens

Where: NORTH, Blight (entering)

In which possible skirmishes happen. A good time to get WS raises, other than that, just fight off a half fist of Trollocs. Saline realizes despite studying Earth from manipulation of male channelers, she might not be able to prevent the Breaking anyway. Saline is not Battle Ajah, she is a Red, and she has a contingency plan: safehouses for storing a way of life, an extensive network of information outside of Tar Valon mainly as a backup.

 

Phase 4: Truth Hides Nothing

Where: NORTH, Blight

In which Saline has a dream of Rory, wakes up in the warded Camp. Takes place during an entire day of travelling. Ultimately ending with finding a Green sash covered with blood and perhaps a sense of closure . . .

It has come to my attention from a friend who thinks phase two is a bit too Saline-earth focused, and would not offer so much opportunity for other things. I admit I may have gone too heavily into the study of earth so I may tweak Land Beneath the Sky. Still thinking! Thank you for the feedback :)

Lavinya has a 1 in earth if I remember correctly, so she would be no help at all lol, but that could make the trip all the more frustrating and ultimately fun. I'll happily join in :)
