I participated in earth hour.

And once it was done, I promptly used paper towels to clean up a drink my roommate spilled, thus counteracting the effect I had by participating. Go me!

So, I heard of it, but I was at work, and we need light and electricity like?

My one roommate was at work for it, and they participated as best they could by turning off all the electronics and as many of the lights as they could.

I find these kind of events trigger a lot of hipocritical behavior and a an increase of self-perceived importance. 

 

I'd deliberately boycot them if I was actually aware they were taking place.
