Three votes on Mynd, now? That's not good.

[glow=red,2,300]Unvote, vote: MCS[/glow]

for bandwagoning.

Fine if you wanna be that way

[glow=red,2,300]Unvote, vote: Pandy[/glow]

It was because I have heard Mynd was a treacherous player. But I guess that no longer matters :-\

Charming, been only open a day and already I'm down as lurking...>.>

For the moment my vote will stay the same just because.  However, the excellent use of sarcasm in the quoted post has endeared Talya to me so I may yet switch.

Also, the mystery has been solved.  I updated my profile to include my gender.

Wow.  All I see are bandwagons, revenge voting, and hypocrisy.  Who's the hypocrite?  Mynd.  Here's how:

Hmmmm....now this is interesting.  Now he is dodging my accusations!  He was so quick to find out who I caught revealing themselves, but now that he knows I was bluffing and pointed fingers at him, he has backtracked.  Methinks I smell SCUM!

Uh, you were the one dodging accusations, Mynd.  DJ called you out for your little "bluff", and you backtracked by calling it exactly that.  Now you say he's dodging your accusations and backtracking?  Kettle, meet pot.  ;)

My vote stays.

Oh my God, you suck!

Mynd is definitely as treacherous as they come. However, how does that affect whether he is town or scum?

You don't. Thats mafia. However, when a person speaks common sense, it can't hurt to take what they say into consideration. He's not saying he knows Mynd's alignment, he's saying that Mynd plays a treacherous game no matter his alignment, and thats not really good reason to vote him.

Lynching Ballot

Talya (2): Jeran, Hybrid

Hybrid (2): Myndrunner, Talya

Myndrunner (1): Verbal,

Liathiana (1): Thorum

Thorum (1): Dark Justice

Danya (1): Catina

Cubarey (1): Barmacral

Mcs (1): Pandy

Jeran (1): peacesells

What I find odd so far is peacesells just voting for someone who hasn't got a vote on them. Doesn't really help the game.

Pandy votes for mcs, who then takes his vote off mynd, putting Mynd in the clear of the votes. Maybe it's a Mynd, Pandy, mcs triangle for the evils we have here...  ;)

DJ was the only one who bit on my bluff, maybe because I kinda do this thing in every game.  A guilty conscious would worry about what I could have possibly read that revealed them, while the innocent feel safe.  In Mafia, the thing that does most Scum in is that they know they are Scum and it affects their gameplay in even the tiniest way.

Barmy seems to be defending Cosmic Panda here.  Talya seems to be beating the grass to startle the snakes, but with two votes on her already, she's probably trying to divert attention elsewhere.

The guy who has me the most perplexed is MCS.  Just who told him I was a "treacherous player" and how did he hear that?  Through open Mafia offline channels?  He's in communication with someone offline about this game......the questions that remain are WHO WITH? and WHY?

Posted

Well, Talya's definitely not lurking.  :D  I think that leaves Liathiana as not having contributed so far.

[glow=red,2,300]Unvote and vote Liathiana[/glow].

Mcs (1): Pandy

Jeran (1): Peace

With 15 alive, it takes 8 votes to Lynch.

WHOA!  Thorum, what is this all about?!  You have played a number of games with Danya and you know she always refuses to vote on Day 1.  That's her typical style and I don't see her changing that one bit this game.  Does that completely excuse her? No, but it is no reason for you to suddenly vote for her.

I think Thorum is maneuvering for a bandwagon on a less active player for a reason that on the surface makes sense, but he knows better.  Danya always refuses to vote on Day 1 but I'll bet dollars to Belgian waffles that Thorum was counting on Danya not being able to defend herself.

[glow=red,2,300]unvote [/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Thorum[/glow]

Catina, was your vote on Danya random or coordinated?

Thank Jeran, at lease Dsage has done an update, and I dare go back and edit..

Mynd you're also flitting about like a cat on a hot tin roof, infact a number of people are. So you think mcs is talking to people outside the thread, then decide to vote Thorum. If memory serves me Thorum is like this when he plays. So no surprise there, as with Danya not voting. But by saying she isn't voting she hasn't really had to contribute to the game at all. So he may have a point.

As for mcs, I believe he had said he had read the last game, and I think similar things were said about you in that game so he may have got the info there. Having said that he does jump around abit too.

Has Lith even bee around?

Mynd, read Thorum's sig.

Catina, was your vote on Danya random or coordinated?

Huh?  What do you think she is going to say?  "Yes, it was coordinated, Mynd.  My mafia buddy Thorum PMed me and told me to vote Danya.  Is that a problem?"

::)

My voting pattern on day 1 is always the same:

vote for someone who doesn't contribute much (and Danya is very often among them - not my fault)

try to keep the votes on 5 players max. The first step in this is eliminating Liath from this list (thanks Hybrid, for immediately making this invalid :( )

@Mynd:

- why would danya not be able to defend herself?

- Why would I want Belgian waffles from you? I live in Brussels...

Posted

I'll have some Belgian Waffles from you thugh thorum, if you're offering, or do we have to go to the fish mines... :D

somethings are never forgotten.  ;)

I agree we need to limit the number we are voting for, otherwise come Friday there won't be a lynch, we'll have no info...etc!

Posted

Just let me know when you'll be in Brussels next, and we'll go eat some.

The fish mine has still not been rebuild :(. And it's in Ghent, where I ain't that much anymore.

My reason for never voting on day one is this *points to everyone* random votes and a great chance of lynching an innocent. When we have more information I never mind voting for who I find suspicious, but first day, no thank you, i'll hold my vote. My reason for not voting is good enough, if not  better than say this

Well, Talya's definitely not lurking.   :D  I think that leaves Liathiana as not having contributed so far.

[glow=red,2,300]Unvote and vote Liathiana[/glow].

Or this

I'm changing my vote to [glow=red,2,300]Danya[/glow]

Because she won't vote, and to start eliminating players from the lynch list

(both quotes chosen because they are on the last page)

Its as likely for me to change playingstyle as it is for Mynd to change his.

Its almost inevitable that you'll get an innocent lynch on day one Danya, but a vote for somebody is a lot more likely to get information that a no vote, which you are doing. So waiting for more information, but not helping contribute to getting that information is kinda hypocritical.

I tend to agree that there are a lot of people on the lynch list so for now I will [glow=red,2,300]Unvote  ---> Vote Liathiana[/glow].

Normally, I would actually agree more with Danya, as I dislike voting on Day 1 as well.  However, this is not a typical vanilla mafia game, so I'm ok with voting on Day 1 - I just don't make it random.  I voted Mynd for a reason, and that reason will not change unless proof is delivered that he is innocent.

Of course, in the effort to actually get a majority as opposed to a random lynch, my prior statement flies right out the window and I'd switch my vote for only that reason.  :)

I would say this is true to an extent...the only information you gain will be on the ones voting.  If Danya chooses not to vote for someone you gain no information on her.  If you she does..then she starts her voting pattern.  Really, it's in her best interest to wait...if this is how she usually plays.  If it wasn't then I'd think it was a scummy position.  As it is...I don't think it says anything about her.

I don't see what info about other players you could really gleam from her casting a vote though.  (unless she turns out to be scum and you look at her voting history and determine they are all innocents.)
