Ok This is sad

*laughs* yes, all Mo's fault. Couldn't get her out of bed for anything! No more "wake me up in ten minutes" crap, I'm not buying it this year! LOL

As for the pic... *grins* My favorite part...gotta be the shoes. ;) I bet if Elaida wore shoes like those, her disposition would be SOOO much sunnier... *grins*

I actually talked them DOWN to that. The original plan was to carry me in a litter, on the shoulders of strapping young men. Which is a nice thought, but I'm convinced ya'll would drop me. So now I've got a bunch of PVC pipe and netting taking up space in my garage.

I forgot to bring my white flats and no way in HELL was I marching in my strappy black heels. First you have to RUN to Woodruff Park, because we are always late. Then you have to stand around, because Marilyn (the parade director) is a flake who keeps her records with a freaking abacus and has no idea who stands where. "Wheel of Time? Um... Are you SURE your not with TheOneRing.Net?" Then you have to march BACK to the Marriott and the stupid pirates keep running through your formation. So, sneakers. And big thick mens sport socks. I am SO stylish.

And there are more pictures of WoT people in the parade. You have to dig a bit though. I think they took around a thousand. Some ungodly huge number anyways.

Yes It was my fault..With three kids and being use to hopping out of bed on an instant, I thought Ten minutes would do it!!!!! I guess being at your Parents was to relaxing......I would have slept the whole day.......

Oh! Here's us pitching our tent by the fountain.

Here, no shoes in this one.

Ariel shot of the Asha'man, with Red sisters right behind.

A line of Greens, followed by a line of Blues. Querida played the Daughter Heir last year. Dude with the hat is supposed to be Mat.

Mat, with the sign so we know where to stand. You know, while Marilyn loses someone else's registration forms.

Muirenn, taking a break from Asha'man catch and release

The redhead with the glasses is the Amyrlin of TarValon.net. I've been told on good authority that some of her members saw pictures of me at Dragon*Con, wearing my stole, and thought I had "stolen" her place. I laughed. She's cool though.

And that seems to be most of it.

Heee, Con. *squees*

Sorry :P

The parade was awesome. And the tent was to protect Mother's fair complexion. *ggls*

Hey, I'm in those pictures, too! I look like I'm about to melt. Stupid Georgia weather. I'm Norwegian, darnit, I'm not used to such heat! *lol*

Its supposed to be a canopy, to indicate that I'm important. I didn't do the enigineering of it, so I have no idea why its so...big. If we use it again, I'll figure out a way to make it smaller and less likely to collapse on my head.

And you think YOU were hot? I was wearing dark blue velvet, and fifteen layers of underwear. Thank god I found something lighter for this year.

I'm probably insane, but I find Atlanta weather to be most tolerable :D

Granted, San Antonio is a mite touch.. erm... hellisher, so -shrugs- And by that, I mean that it's humid here too, which is why I'm a-planning on moving to the desert <3

Dragon*Con is a huge sci-fi, fantasy and gaming convention that takes place every year over Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. The Wheel of Time is a teeny tiny part of that, and there's quite a few of us going. The parade is just one of the many MANY things happening over that weekend. This is going to be my second year, and as you can probably tell we're all getting very excited already.

www.dragoncon.org is the official website, and www.ageoflegends.net is the website for the Wheel of Time track.
