But I ended up using a razor to get the spots I missed, and than that doubled the razor burn.

Arrrrggghhh.

I dread doing my legs for States.

Did it last year, one of the more terrible experiences of my life.

yeah, k

 

1) have a hot shower

2) now turn off the water and lather the shaving cream on to the body part you're about to shave.  no point lathering everything then getting to it 5mins later when the cream has dried.

3) run your razor under hot water

4) run the blade against the hair, stopping to rinse the blade off in hot water after every few inches.

5) when hairless, rinse off all the lather and hair in hot water.

6) aftershave!

 

don't use a disposable razor for more then 1 day.

 

 

if i can shave all the hair off my kitty and get no razor burn so can you!

oh, by the way, grab a tube of BikiniZone at your pharmacy.  it cures (severly reduces) razorburn. it was designed for girls but no reason you can slather it onto your manly hairless, boy-like chest.

I shave with lotion.  I only have a stand up shower so I had to figure out how to shave my legs without getting water all over the floor.  It actually works better, with less razor burn and you can just rub the lotion right in when you're done.  I recommend something unscented unless you want to smell girly as well as look girly. =P

I use Veet/Nair as well usually, but I don't experience the burn that everyone usually complains about. But in this situation, you really should wax Twitchy. You'll get a better surface than even with Nair...
